    My Site's error log is filled with these errors:- This is an invalid script resource request. Invalid viewstate. Invalid character in a Base-64 string. Invalid length for a Base-64 char array. All these errors are appearing at least 100 times a day. After doing some RnD on internet i have done following things:- 1- define machine key in my web config. 2- created robots.txt file and add ScriptResource.axd file in that. Can some one guide me what I am missing or doing wrong.

  • Cocoa Core Data - Efficient Related Entities Counts

    I am working on my first iPhone application and I've hit a wall. I'm trying to develop a 'statistics' page for a three entity relationship. My entities are the following: Department - Name, Address, Building, etc. People - Name, Gender (BOOL), Phone, etc If I have fetched a specific department how do I filter those results and only return people that are Male (Gender == 0)? If I do NSLog(@"%d", [department.people count]); I get the correct number of people in that department so I know I'm in the neighborhood. I know I could re-fetch and modify the predicate each time but with 20+ stats in my app that seems inefficient. Thanks for any advice!

    I have a model called Stem. I need a 'thumbs up' feature, so I have created a second model called Thumb, which consists of stem_id and user_id. I'm also using the restful authentication plugin for user credentials. I have the 'thumbs up' button working, which adds a row to the thumbs table fine, but I'd like to be able to check if the currently logged in user has already given a thumbs up to this particular stem. I tried adding this to the Stem model: def thumbed Thumb.count_by_sql ["SELECT COUNT(*) FROM thumbs WHERE user_id = ? AND stem_id = ?", current_user.id, self.id ] end The problem here is that the stem model has no access to the current_user variable the the controllers have. Is there a way I can get access to this property, or alternatively, is there another way I could go about checking this? I was hoping to get this as a property in the model because the stems are passed over to a Flex app using RubyAMF. Thanks!

    Hello, I have written a program for a stack. For this i needed a StringBuilder to be able to show me what was in the stack else i would get the class name instead of the actual values inside. My question is there any other way except for a StringBuilder for such kind of problem? Also in what other kind of cases does this kind of problem happen?   • Interesting questions related to lighttpd on Amazon EC2

    This problem appeared today and I have no idea what is going on. Please share you ideas. I have 1 EC2 DB server (MYSQL + NFS File Sharing + Memcached). And I have 3 EC2 Web servers (lighttpd) where it will mounted the NFS folders on the DB server. Everything going smoothly for months but suddenly there is an interesting phenomenon. In every 8 minutes to 10 minutes, PHP file will be unreachable. This will last about 1 minute and then back to normal. Normal files like .html file are unaffected. All servers have the same problem exactly at the same time. I have spent one whole day to analysis the reason. Finally, I find out when the problem appear, the file descriptor of lighttpd suddenly increased a lot. I used ls /proc/1234/fd | wc -l to check the number of fd. The # of fd is around 250 in normal time. However, when the problem appeared, it will be raised to 1500 and then back to normal. It sounds funny, right? Do you have any idea what's going on? ======================== The CPU graph of one of the web server.

    Hi guys, I am currently writing a web application intended for US users that asks them to input their ZIP code and I just found out about the ZIP+4 code. Since I am not from the US and getting a user's correct ZIP code is important, I have no idea which format I should use. Could anyone (preferably from the US) please clarify what's the deal with the +4 digits and how important are they ? Is it safe to use only the plain 5-digit ZIP ? Thank you in advance !

    Hi, I have a csv importing system on my app (used locally only) which parses the csv file line by line and adds the data to the database table. There is a relationship that courses HABTM years and years HABTM courses. In the csv file (effectively in row[5] to row[8]) are the year_id s. Is there a way that I can add this within the method above. I am confused as to how to loop over the 4 items and add them to the courses_years table. Thank you Jack

    I've been thinking about using Markov techniques to restore missing information to natural language text. Restore mixed case to text in all caps Restore accents / diacritics to languages which should have them but have been converted to plain ASCII Convert rough phonetic transcriptions back into native alphabets That seems to be in order of least difficult to most difficult. Basically the problem is resolving ambiguities based on context. I can use Wiktionary as a dictionary and Wikipedia as a corpus using n-grams and Markov chains to resolve the ambiguities. Am I on the right track? Are there already some services, libraries, or tools for this sort of thing?     I'm working on a CMSy app for which I've implemented a set of models which allow for creation of custom Template instances, made up of a number of Fields and tied to a specific Customer. The end-goal is that one or more templates with a set of custom fields can be defined through the Admin interface and associated to a customer, so that customer can then create content objects in the format prescribed by the template. I seem to have gotten this hooked up such that I can create any number of Template objects, but I'm struggling with how to create instances - actual content objects - in those templates. For example, I can define a template "Basic Page" for customer "Acme" which has the fields "Title" and "Body", but I haven't figured out how to create Basic Page instances where these fields can be filled in.     I have a very strange problems in a PHP Soap implementation. I have a private variable in the Server class which contains the DB name for further reference. The private variable name is "fromdb". I have a public function on the soap server where I can set this variable. $client-setFromdb. When I call it form my client works perfectly and the fromdb private variable can be set. But a second soap client call this private variable loses its value...     Hi, I am using JQuery to position a series of div tags which basically use a class inside of the tag which decorates the divs as bars. So the div is a green box based on its css specifications to the glass. I have a list of STARTING postions, a list of left coordiantes- for the starting points I wish to position my DIV say 556, 560, 600 these automatically are generated as left positions in a list I have a list of ENDING postions, a list of left coordiantes- for the ending points I wish to position my DIV say 570, 590, 610 these automatically are generated as left positions in a list now for each start and end position, the bar(green box) i want to be drawn with its appropriate width as follows. so say f is the offset or position of the start and ff the offset or position of the end : Below draws the green box based on only one start and end position LEFT. if (f.left != 0) { $("#test").html($("<div>d</div>")).css({ position: 'absolute', left: (f.left) + "px", top: (f.top + 35) + "px", width: (ff.left - f.left) + 25 + "px" }).addClass("option1"); } I am looking to loop through the list of positons in the list and draw multiple green boxs based on the positions on the screen. The above code draws just one green box from the last offset position.
