• Connection string problems on shared hosting with sql server 2005 express

  hi i have problem connecting to my db on a shared hosting, my host provider says they deployed sql 2005 express on their database and i prepared my connection string as follows to take advantage of sql express. \ the data source nae i used originally was ./SQLExpress but my host provider asked that i change it to local host, although with the former it didnt connect, but still with the change as indicated above the error still comes up on access to my default page. the error is as follows; Server Error in '/' Application. Invalid value for key 'attachdbfilename'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.ArgumentException: Invalid value for key 'attachdbfilename'.   Hey Everyone, I'm currently running SME Server, and need to have a script run upon the attachment of SD Cards to my server. The script itself works fine (it copies the contents of the cards), but the automounting and execution of the script is where I'm having issues. What I'm really after is a solution that automounts each of the cards as they are inputted into the reader; and executes a script for them (this will involve copying their contents to another directory). Going mount /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000\:00\:1d.7-usb-0\:4.4\:1.0-scsi-0\:0\:0\:0-part1 Works and places the card under /media/usbdisk/, however: mount /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000\:00\:1d.7-usb-0\:4.4\:1.0-scsi-0\:0\:0\:0-part1 slot1/ doesn't work, and returns "mount: can't get address for /dev/disk/by-path/pci-0000" Any ideas and solutions would be great, I've seen the knowledge of a lot of the guys on here before so I'm hopeful someone can help me out.   I recently had issues with secure boot and couldn't boot the Live CD/USB but after disabling secure boot, I was able to 'TRY UBUNTU'. My currently problem is that I can't access WIFI or LAN from either Ubuntu 12.04 or 12.10 Live CD/USB which I do from Windows 8. Also, the wireless button is able to turn on and off the wireless LED but doesn't find available WIFI. Please, what should I do to get both WIFI and LAN working on Ubuntu using Toshiba qosmio x870? • Is the new windows 8 sdk usable with visual c++ express 2010 on windows 7?

  This is inspired by and related to Is the June 2010 DX SDK really the latest? asked recently but it's a different question. I won't likely be purchasing the full visual studio 2012 for C++, I intend to use the free visual c++ express 2012 that targets desktop applications when it is released so for now I'm using visual c++ express 2010 running on windows 7. The latest directx11 sdk is the one included in the windows 8 SDK now, it's not a separate release any more. So my question is, can I use the windows 8 SDK to build directx11 programs that work on windows 7 using visual studio express 2010 running on windows 7. Or do I need to stick to the final DirectX SDK release for now?

  I will be using Visual Studio only for creating C#/XAML Windows Store apps. Is there any reason for me to purchase a "Professional" SKU of VS 2012 rather than just using the Express (free) "Metro apps with C#/XAML" version? The only thing I can think of is that I won't be able to use Resharper in the Express version (which I've already purchased a license for, but I use it at work, so that won't be a waste of money if I can't use it at home) - plus, I believe that even the Express SKU of VS 2012 will have similar code quality utility built in.

In the firewall settings it says to open ports 5345-5351 (TCP only). Port Forwarding: You will also need to forward the same range of ports (5345-5351) to the computer running the Server. This typically requires that the computer running the Server be assigned a static IP on the local network. Having trouble figuring out which IP address we actually need to be using on the client side of this program in order to access the server computer. Can someone walk through this process?? The server also hosts legacy apps for which we lack reinstallation resources; thus our desire to preserve it as close to intact as possible while removing the orphaned roles. All efforts to remove SQL 2005 thru Control Panel and ARPWrapper /remove fail with error 29528. Should I abandon this and leave the orphan SQL dormant, or is it reasonable to remove it post-demote?

  Hi all, Normally we develop in VS 2005 Pro, but I wanted to give VS 2010 a spin. We have custom build tools based off of GNU make tools that are called when creating an executable. This is the error that I see whenever I call my external tool: ...\gnu\make.exe): *** couldn't commit memory for cygwin heap, Win32 error 487 The caveat is that it still works perfectly fine in VS2005, as well as being called straight from the command line. Also, my external tool is setup exactly the same as in VS 2005. Is there some setting somewhere that could cause this error to be thrown?

Under my normal Network (Sql 2000 enterprise edition) condition, the server name is part of the drop down listing. Finally got an ODBC positive test by manually listing in the system dns ODBC connection 'computername\sqlexpress'. Nonetheless, can not get an ODBC connection from Access. How can I get it working?

When I get to the Microsoft SQL Server Database Wizard in Access and after clicking on next to create the database I get this message: The new database wizard does not work with the version of Microsoft SQL Server to which you Access project is connected.
