  • Iframe pages on Facebook does not show in Internet Explorer 9 - Windows 7 64-bit

    Have this very irritating problem with Internet Explorer 9 and Facebook. If I go to Facebook and watch a page with iframes (like IFBML pages) it will not show up in Internet Explorer 9. It shows up in Firefox 4 and Chrome 10, but not in Internet Explorer 9. I run Windows 7 64-bit SP1 (danish). The strange thing is that I own three different PC´s and they all run Windows 64-bit SP1 and all of them has this issue. Can´t figure out what causes this issue. I have tried the following: Uninstalled AVG antivirus and installed Microsoft Antivirus - no change Updated Windows with SP1 - no change Updated from Internet Explorer 9 beta to Internet Explorer 9 final Ed. - no change Emptied cache and temp files in Internet Explorer 9 - no change Made www.facebook.com a trusted site in Internet Explorer 9 - no change And a lot of other things I can not remember I guess....but nothing seems to work. As I´m using quite a lot of my working time developing Facebook Fanpages it is frustrating not to be able to test them in Internet Explorer 9. BTW - it is Internet Explorer 9 32-bit - not 64-bit. Any clues?

  • vmware server 64 bit on ubuntu 9.10 64 bit with P2V windows 2003 SBS poor network speed

    configuration is ubuntu 2.6.31-21 64 bit vmware 2.0.2 64 bit last release hardware is core 2 quad with 8GB ram guest is win 2003 server SBS 32 bit Dear friends, we have a converted physical to virtual windows sbs 2003, converted with last converter available nowadays http://www.vmware.com/products/converter/ vCenter converter. Running the P2V 2K3 SBS on vmware server, it does boot fine, but we do note an abnormal CPU activity and a poor lan speed. As attempts we did what follow. We removed all unneeded peripherals, we removed one NIC (phisycal server was 2 nics), we changed the vmx to ged the nic recognized as intel instead than amd, we removed 1 cpu (physical was 2 cpu), we removed anything was reported as failed driver from system events monitor. Nothing to do, no way and funny results. Let's read some tests results. All are made with the same file copied in different source folders. Copying from client side (both directions copy, to/from server) results are i.e. 10 seconds, copying the same files from server side (again from and to server) results are different... from client to server, speed is round about (bit more) 10 seconds, but from server to client direction is slower: double the time. Beeing very fast and launching a simultaneous copy "from server to client"+"from client to server", this made from the server side, results in a stuck traffic... 45 seconds to do the copy. vmware tools are installed and e1000 driver has been updated. With one processor CPU activity is still going up and down but much less than with two. Because of test, we installed win 2k8 STD 64 bit. We repeated all the above tests with exactly the same file result is just one: always 5 seconds (this matches the lan speed) Any idea about this issue is welcome and thank you if any.   • Google Chrome install fails with error 0x80004002

    I'm using Windows 7 64 bits and I'm trying to install Google Chrome. However, every time I do, I get this error message: Google Update installation failed with error 0x80004002. There is a Show me help for this issue link, but it does nothing. I tried the standalone installer to no avail. I also tried to delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google registry key, as suggested by other answers, with no more positive effects.

  • OraOps10.dll loading problem

    Hello, I have ASP.NET web service built on windows 7 in 32 bit. All dependences of this service compiled in Release mode in x64 bit. Now, I'm installed it on windows 8 64 bit and when I'm access to this service I get error "Could not load OraOps10.dll". I doesn't succeed to find any thing about this problem with oracle client in context of x32-x64 bit incompatibility in internet. Have you any idea? Thank you very much.

  • Setting up a software access point on Gigabyte GN-WPKG x64

    I'm using a Gigabyte GN-WPKG card on Windows 7 64-bit and was thinking it would be good to turn it into a wireless AP (I have a wired internet connection). Connectify, which would normally be the solution, says it's not compatible. There are instructions for setting up an AP, but they seem to be for 32-bit. I found the equivalent drivers for 7 and they don't seem to do anything. Is there no SoftAP for Vista and later on a Gigabyte card?

  • Browsing mapped network drives in Aptana Studio - Windows 7

    I've recently started using Windows 7 (64-bit) at work, but after installing Aptana like usual, and mapping my network folders like I always have, Aptana shows the mapped drives, but with a red X on the drive icon. Using the native windows explorer I can browse the drives fine, and I don't need to login. If it matters the mapped drives are hosted on both Windows and Linux servers. Any ideas on what to do? My googling is drawing blanks.

  • All office apps crash immediately on server 2008

    Hi, I have a brand new windows 2008 server (64 bit) with a brand new installation of Office 2007, fully patched with all windows updates etc. Every time I try to run any of the office apps it crashes immediately, even in safe mode. the only remotely useful information I get is: Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 If I Run in compatibility mode for windows XP, everything is fine. Anyone ever seen this before? I've tried turning off DEP but that made no difference either Thanks Tim

  • "Busy" icon not spinning in Windows 7

    Hi there, I just got a new Sony Vaio with pre-installed Windows 7 and I noticed that the busy icon (that is, that little blue wheel that stays next to the mouse pointer when Windows is processing something) doesn't spin, ever. Does anyone know what could cause this, or how to fix it?     You might be familiar with Ninite. What I'd like to know is if there are good alternatives to that software for Windows. The features I expect: installs the latest version of software supports 64 bit installs where possible strips ads/toolbars/similar stuff provides a way to keep the programs updated after installation if I can add custom installers to the software, that's a big plus. Any ideas if such a program exists?

  • where.exe does not find OpenSSL libs when %ProgramFiles% variable is used in the PATH environment variable

    I installed both 32bit and 64bit version of OpenSSL libs on Vista x64. The 32bit version was installed in c:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSSL and the 64bit version was installed in c:\Program Files\OpenSSL. Then I added the entry %ProgramFiles%\OpenSSL to the PATH environment variable. %ProgramFiles%\OpenSSL is expanded to c:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSSL for 32bit programs and it's expanded to c:\Program Files\OpenSSL for 64bit programs. The idea is to have 32bit programs use 32bit version of OpenSSL libs and 64bit programs use 64bit version. I wanted to check if this works by running 32bit cmd.exe and issuing where ssleay32.dll and then by running 64bit cmd.exe and issuing the same. However in both cases I get the error INFO: Could not find files for the given pattern(s). What's wrong? This is a follow up to Different PATH environment variable for 32bit and 64bit Windows - is it possible?

    I have gVim installed. Under Vista and XP, this offered me an addition to either the object context menu of "Edit with gVim", or an addtion to the "Open With" context menu of "gVim". This would let me send arbitrary files to gVim for editing. Under Windows 7 64-bit, I have installed gVim -- twice, as it happens -- and there's no menu item. How do I add an option to send arbitrary files to gVim for viewing/editing?

    I have a server, and windows vista, 64-bit, 4gb ram. Sometimes the server randomly drops into the page file, and disconnects everyone who was online. Only after I click the cmd.exe window does it comes back out. How do I mark a program as not eligible for the page file?   • USB Wireless adapter that works with Windows 7 (32 and 64bit)

    Can anybody recommend a USB wireless network adapter, that has Windows 7 drivers for both 32 and 64 bit? It also needs to reconnect to the network when the computer is brought out of sleep. I have three of these from earlier (from Allnet, trendnet and linksys), and just one of them has working drivers for Win7 64bit - but fail to return from sleep in a working state.
