  • PHP PayPal IPN - Getting drop down menu

    I'm using Paypal's buy it now buttons along with an IPN handler written in PHP to send me an e-mail whenever a purchase is made. The e-mail is properly being sent and is passing much of the data, but it's not capturing the drop down list for selecting a clothing item's size. It's late so I'm sure I'm looking over something very obvious but am still wondering if I'm just calling it wrong or if I'm forgetting some hidden fields? Thanks :)

  • Visual Studio 2010 HTML Designer Renders Unlike IE8?

    My question is: since Visual Studio 2010 was only just released, why does it not render pages in the same way as the latest Microsoft web browser, IE8? Is there a bunch of render options I should be setting? I thought Expression Web was supposed to help with its fancy Super Preview but that app doesn't even open VS solutions.   • Firefox throwing a exception with HTML Canvas putImageData

    So I was working on this little javascript experiment and I needed a widget to track the FPS of it. I ported a widget I've been using with Actionscript 3 to Javascript and it seems to be working fine with Chrome/Safari but on Firefox is throwing an exception. This is the experiment: Depth of Field This is the error: [Exception... "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "http://mrdoob.com/projects/chromeexperiments/depth_of_field__debug/js/net/hires/debug/Stats.js Line: 105"] The line that is complaning about is this one: graph.putImageData(graphData, 1, 0, 0, 0, 69, 50); Which is a crappy code to "scroll" the bitmap pixels. The idea is that I only draw a few pixels on the left of the bitmap and then on the next frame I copy the whole bitmap and paste it on pixel to the right. This error usually is thrown because you're pasting a bitmap bigger than the source and it's going off the limits, but in theory that shouldn't be the case as I'm defining 69 as the width of the rectangle to paste (being the bitmap 70px wide).   • Sending a byte array from PHP to WCF problem

    Hi I have this problem: I have to send a byte array (encoded photo) from my PHP client to the WCF host. when I do a var_dump() on my array in PHP I get an array[2839] which is ok but on the server side when i debug I see that received array is only byte[5]...any idea how I can fix it? Unfortunately, by changing this setting I now get a Response of: HTTP/1.1 502 Connection failed Edit: If it helps, the app "Charles" shows me WAY more information than Fiddler, but I really want to figure out Fiddler since I like it better.

    I have two computers. On the first computer I have apache running with all my web code. On the second computer I have large amounts of data stored with a retrieval script (the script usually takes hours to run). I am essentially creating a web UI to access this data without any time delay. so I call: exec("bash initial.bash"); this is a driver script that is in my Apache folder. It calls the script on the other computer. calling: ssh otherMachine temp.bash& this script invokes the data retrieval script on the second computer. If I call initial.bash in the terminal, everything works smoothly and successfully, but if I call it in my PHP file, then all my commands in initial.bash run, with the exception of ssh otherMachine temp.bash&. I put the & at the end of that, so that temp.bash will run in the background, since it does take a few hours to complete. I am not sure why the nested script is not running when invoked by Apache. Is there a better alternative than using exec or shell_exec to call a script, which ultimately calls another script. The reason I don't call a script on the second machine directly is because of the time it takes the program to run. Shell_exec does not render the php page until the script is complete.

    Hi all, I've got the following regular expression that works fine on my testing server, but just returns an empty string on my hosted server. $text = preg_replace('~[^\\pL\d]+~u', $use, $text); Now I'm pretty sure this comes down to the hosting server version of PCRE not being compiled with Unicode property support enabled. The differences in the two versions are as follows: My server: PCRE version 7.8 2008-09-05 Compiled with UTF-8 support Unicode properties support Newline sequence is LF \R matches all Unicode newlines Internal link size = 2 POSIX malloc threshold = 10 Default match limit = 10000000 Default recursion depth limit = 10000000 Match recursion uses stack Hosting server: PCRE version 4.5 01-December-2003 Compiled with UTF-8 support Newline character is LF Internal link size = 2 POSIX malloc threshold = 10 Default match limit = 10000000 Match recursion uses stack Also note that the version on the hosting server (the same version PHP is compiled against) is pretty old. What confuses me though, is that pcretest fails on both servers from the command line with re> ~[^\\pL\d]+~u ** Unknown option 'u' although this regexp works fine when run from PHP on my server. So, I guess my questions are does the regular expression fail on the hosting server because of the lack of Unicode properties? Or is there something else that I'm missing? Thanks all, Gaz.

    I'm trying to get an array of events from Google Calendar using the Private URL. I read the Google API document but I want to try doing this without using the ZEND library since I have no idea what the eventual server file structure is and avoid having other people edit the codes. I also did a search before posting and ran into the same condition where PHP CURL_EXEC returns false with the URL but I get a JSON file if the URL is open using a web browser. Since I'm using the Private URL, do I really need to authenticate against the Google server using ZEND?   • Intern working for Indian NGO - Help with PHP 4, advising staff

    Hello, For the past three months I've been working for an Indian NGO (http://sevamandir.org), doing some volunteer work in the field but also trying to improve their website, which needs a ton of work. Recently I've been trying to fix the "subscribe to newsletter" button, which is broken. I used filter_var to filter the email input, but when I tried to test this out I got an error. Then I learned that the web host is still using php version 4.3.2 and register_globals is turned on. I've mentioned that they should upgrade their web host before (they are paying around $50 per year for Rediff Web Hosting, complete with 100MB storage and 1 MySQL database). That would add a lot of complexity for the IT staff of 3, who would have to update everyone's email information (I assume? this is a 250-person organization), and have me find a new web host and teach them about it. The staff isn't that sophisticated about web usage - the head guy still uses IE6, and the website's laid out in tables (they use Dreamweaver WYSIWYG to lay out pages). So I've got two options - use regular expressions to filter the email, which I'm not that skilled at doing (and would be more vulnerable to exploitation after I leave), turn off register globals and then try to teach the staff what I'm doing, or try to get them to upgrade their versions of PHP and MySQL and/or change web host.     I'm coding an app (temporarily up here), and I want to make its parameters modifiable. I feel the best way to do this would be with your standard GUI slider elements (a la this, but not so ugly). I just noticed that the DOM doesn't provide these, however... What's the best way to introduce sliders to a webpage? Is there a standard library that everybody uses? Should I just roll my own? Or should is there a different element I can use? Should I embed them in the canvas element somehow?

However, when using the same ajax call with the URL pointing instead to this php script: <?php $arrCoords = array('foo'=>'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.','bar'=>'ABCDEFG','baz'=>array(52,97)); echo json_encode($arrCoords); ?> which prints this identical JSON object: {"foo":"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.","bar":"ABCDEFG","baz":[52,97]} I get the proper output in the browser but Firebug only reveals only HTML. There is no JSON tab present when I expand GET request in Firebug.

  • Magento started showing PHP language errors since I downloaded the blank theme using Connect

    I used the Magento Connect downloader to install the blank theme extension, but I did not switch to it as I was unable to access any-page anymore. Instead, it started showing php errors for front-end and Magento generated security errors for admin. Frontend Error: Fatal error: Call to a member function toHtml() on a non-object in D:\xampp\htdocs\newpinch\app\code\core\Mage\Core\Model\Layout.php on line 529 Admin error on Log-in: There has been an error processing your request Exception printing is disabled by default for security reasons. Error log record number: 1608724822 Link to the theme extension I installed. I didn't even change the theme from the default, can anyone please tell me what am I doing wrong. I just installed the theme and then clicked on "Return to admin" in Magento Connect but it was unable to go instead started refreshed the Magento Connect page, only this time without any CSS styling. The only page that still appears correctly is the admin log-in page. Please help me, I have already tried the forums at magentocommerce.com and their community sucks. 0 views & 0 replies. please help...

  • Html / Email / Distribution list problem from a noob

    I need to create a feature for a website that will allow a user to enter their email in order to receive a free promotion (which will be emailed immediately) and be added to an announcement list. I haven't done any web programming and am wondering where I should start? Should I just create a database and everytime an email is entered, add the email to the database, then when I want to send out an announcement just write a script that will send an email to every address?   • how to fix gateway timeout error in php???

    Iam having a php file that sends text messages on mobile to all the users that i have in my database's particular table. Now the entries are like 2000 or so in number and this number will keep on increasing. On my page there is a small form that selects a list of the users to whom message is to be sent from a drop down and then user writes the text to be sent in a textarea and then on clicking the submit button php script stars sending the messages to mobile numbers. Now while trying to send messages my browser has shown gateway timeout error but the script kept on running and messages are sent to the mobiles but not once but 6 times. I checked my script my query and all the code is correct.This all happened coz of that gateway timeout. Now does this gateway timeout kepts the script running again and again till the browser is not closed?? is this was the reason that a single message was sent 6 times to mobile numbers?? I mean how can i escape my file from getting this gateway error so that one message is sent only one time to a number??
