I'm looking to port one of my iPhone applications, but I'm kind of at a loss for how to draw a view at runtime (a view not declared in the XML). Basically, I want to draw a simple rectangle, but then be able to manipulate its frame after being drawn.   • fail2ban block ports rules iptable

    I just installed Ubuntu Server 14.04 and don't have much experience with IPtables. I am trying to get a basic setup going where I only accept SSH connections on port 22 and 2222. I actually have that working with no problem using fail2ban ssh. Then I wanted to block all other ports except 423 and 4242 but either method of DROPing all connections that are not listed seems not to work and it blocks me out of everything. Below is the setup that works: -P INPUT ACCEPT -P FORWARD ACCEPT -P OUTPUT ACCEPT -N fail2ban-ssh -A INPUT -p tcp -m multiport --dports 22,2222 -j fail2ban-ssh -A fail2ban-ssh -j RETURN I tried to change it either to: -P INPUT DROP -P FORWARD ACCEPT -P OUTPUT ACCEPT -N fail2ban-ssh -A INPUT -p tcp -m multiport --dports 22,2222 -j fail2ban-ssh -A fail2ban-ssh -j RETURN or: -P INPUT ACCEPT -P FORWARD ACCEPT -P OUTPUT ACCEPT -N fail2ban-ssh -A INPUT -p tcp -m multiport --dports 22,2222 -j fail2ban-ssh -A INPUT -j DROP -A fail2ban-ssh -j RETURN I have noticed that the rules for fail2ban-ssh are automatically added to my iptables on boot because if I save them with iptables-persistant they are entered twice. How do I go about blocking everything accept those 2 ports using fail2ban? Is it a bad fail2ban configuration or do I need to add the fail2ban-ssh -j Return somewhere else in my code.

    I have a setup where my incoming internet connection feeds into a squid proxy/caching server, and from there into my local wireless router. On the wan side of the proxy server, I have eth0 with address 208.78.∗∗∗.∗∗∗ On the lan side of the proxy server, I have eth1 with address 192.168.2.1 Traffic from my lan gets forwarded through the proxy transparently to the internet via the following rules. I have also tried reversing the order of those commands in case I got that part wrong, but that didn't help. I guess I don't fully understand everything about iptables. Any ideas?

    I would like to host a service on a WinCE device. The WinCE device is the host which can be accessed(control and data acquisition) by multiple clients (PC or WinCE) over serial port, TCP, USB etc. I was considering using Protocol Buffers for serialization on the wire. It would be ideal to use WCF or remoting but as far as I see they are not implement on the Compact Framework. Anyone have any ideas how this can be achieved.

    Firstly, I know that this question has been asked a million times, and I have read everything I can find and still cannot fix the problem. i am encountering this issue when ssh'ing in from my mac to my Ubuntu server on a fresh install of Ubuntu (I reinstalled because of this issue). I have SSH portmapped to 7070 because my ISP is blocking 22. On the client: bash: ssh -p 7070 -v [email protected] debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh_config debug1: Connecting to address.org port 7070. debug1: Connection established. debug1: identity file /home/me/.ssh/identity type -1 debug1: identity file /home/me/.ssh/id_rsa type 1 debug1: identity file /home/me/.ssh/id_dsa type -1 ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host Here's what I have done to try to resolve the issue: Made sure my maxstartups is ok: bash: grep MaxStartups /etc/ssh/sshd_config #MaxStartups 10:30:60 Made sure hosts.deny is clear of denials. Made sure hosts.allow has my client IP. Clear out known_hosts on client Changed ownership of /var/run to root Made sure etc/run/ssh is Made sure /var/empty exists Reinstall openssh-server Reinstall ubuntu When I run telnet localhost, I get this: telnet localhost Trying ::1... Trying 127.0.0.1... telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused When I run /usr/sbin/sshd -t Could not load host key: /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key Could not load host key: /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key When I regenerate the keys with ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key ssh-keygen -t dsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key I get the same error. I am pretty sure this is the issue. Can anyone help?

    I am using a ServerSocket port to run one instance only of my Java Swing application, so if a user tries to open another instance of the program, i show him a warning that "Another instance is already open". This works fine, but instead of showing this message i want to set focus on the running application itself, like some programs does (MSN Messenger), even if it was minimized. Is there a solution for this for various operating systems ?

    I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement.     I need an open source project with an API capable of reading a live video stream (stream codec can be any API can read - I can provide with practically any live streamable one) giving me last image data for some processing (like brightness\contrast or more exotic filtering) being able to receive data I've changed and starting to stream that data on to some http://localhost:port/ in some format I need it to be easily accessible from C# (even better, written in C#).
