In Search of Efficient Logic..... in terms of Memory and Time. WAP to add two long positive integers. What Data structure / data type we can use to store the numbers and result. What is the best way to search an element from an array in shortest time. Size of the array could be large enough, and any elements could be stored in the array(i.e. no range). Thanks.

I noticed that if I remove the vertical margins from innerElement I am able to get what I want but I cannot alter styles from within the outerElement. How do I do this? Obs: I already tried height, scrollheight and offsetHeight in all browsers. Chrome gives me the expected value (including inner element's margins) for scrollHeight. All other browsers fail.

    On php page in a form, One combo box has list of my Customer from mysql table customer. Another combo box has invoiceno stored in invoice table which has respective customer records. I want to select customer from first combo box and filter invoiceno from the second one according to the customer. Any one help me for php or java or Jquery or both codeings? Means if I select customer1 then in the second combo box should show all invoiceno respective to the custermer1. No Refresh or ReLoad or Post form Pl.   • How to get a component's parent form in Borland VCL?

    Hi, I'd like to determine which form a given component belongs to in my application. Neither the Parent nor the Owner property can be assumed to be the form itself, so I can't simply use this. I guess I could just go through the Parent property recursively until I arrive at something derived from TForm, but is there a better way to do this? I used the search function, but couldn't find anything specific to my problem. I'm using Borland C++ Builder, by the way (tagged Delphi because a majority of VCL users seem to write in Delphi, and I read Delphi code just fine). Thanks in advance!

  • Is it possible to split a form into multiple erb modules?

    I have a large form with multiple tabs and would like to be able to split it into multiple modules and include each as a partial. Something like: main.html.erb: <%= form_for (@myobject) do |f| %> <%= render "module1" %> .... module1.html.erb: <%= f.text_field :field1 %> ... Needless to say, when I do it like this I get an error from module1 that "f" is undefined. Is there a way to split form fields into multiple modules?

  • Creating a contact form using divs with 4 extra divs for "Corners"?

    Hi there, i have tried to create a contact form (a standard form, square in nature but with rounded corners)... I can't use the CSS3 specs so i have an image for each corner.. I have set the images on the background-image and no repeat but it seems if the div is empty then it doesn't display, is there a hack - although prefer an alternative clean method :-) So on the top level i presume i have 1 div for the Upper-Left (corner) and then the upper-middle (just has a color assigned) and then a div for the upper-right (corner) .. so i presume i need to float all these to the left??? Or am i missing something? Thanks in advance

The following is the textarea of the web form I created to allow me to update twitter. <textarea name="updatestatus" cols="50" rows="4" id="updatestatus"> </textarea> Do I change this line in my confirm.php script from $status = 'Testing API'; To this $status=$_POST["updatestatus"]; I am wanting to know if I at least got that right so I can look at other possible problems with this form not being able to update twitter. As it stands now I am manually editing the status each time and it works that way perfectly but have not yet figured out how to get a webform to do this.

    In the contact us template I want to have a dropdown with the list of offices (All offices articles are places under the same parent node, so getting the list should be fairly easy). I need a way to add the office email address (Template variable from the Office article) to the email generated by Modx's eForm. I don't want the email address to be visible in the contact us form, but a snippet fetching the article Template variable email address. I also want a link from each offices article to the contact us form with the office preselected in the dropdown. How should I implement this?

    I am writing a sql query creator using some parameters. While doing that ,I came across this problem. In java , Its very easy to detect the last element of an array from inside the for loop by just checking the current array position with the array length. for(int i=0; i< arr.length;i++){ boolean isLastElem = i== (arr.length -1) ? true : false; } php has some different fashion. They have non integer indexes to access arrays. So you must iterate over an array using foreach loop. But it becomes very problematic when you need to take some decision (in my case to append or/and parameter while building query). I am sure there must be some standard way of doing this. How do you solve this problem normally in php ?

  • Any way to add an observer to the head of the queue using Element#observe?

    This might not be possible but before I rewrite part of my application I wanted to ask... I have a JavaScript app which creates a submit <input> and observes that input's click event using Prototype's Element#observe function. For a few particular pages on one particular site which uses this app, I need to apply some additional business logic before the code which executes normally when the button is clicked. Is there any way I can use Elemen#observe to add my new event handler before the existing event handler, so I can stop the event if these new conditions aren't met? If not I'll probably solve this the "proper" way by having the application fire a specific beforeTakingAction event and add a listener for that which prevents the application from taking it's action, but that's more complicated than this simple problem requires, and requires rewriting part of a shared application for just one user...

Unfortunately, adding box-sizing: border-box to the outer div seems to have no effect. I want to position a child element directly below its parent’s border-box, i.e. the two borders should abut no matter how thick they are. Is this possible?

    I have a situation where I'm wrapping an image with a span and I want to remove all the CSS from the image and apply it to the span. Is there a way to do this with JQuery? JQuery: $(img).wrap('<span />'); Style Sheet: img { border: 5px solid red; padding: 10px; … } I would like do to do this with out editing the HTML or CSS. For example adding a class to the image would not work very well in my situation. I need a way to truly remove the CSS from one element and place it on another.

    New to Android need help with one solid build that I can refer to and study for future projects. The first activity is a background image with a button,when clicked the it takes you to the second activity which is a form with 5 data fields and 2 buttons. One button calls an intent to take a picture within the app and one button that submits the data from the form along with the picture to URL. lastly a third activity that says complete thank you. I can make some of this but don't know how to link button or open and merge camera with the app to be sent as a package of data. I suppose I could also hook into GPS acquire location as well as the camera call?

    I have a model form that I use to update a model. class Turtle(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=50, blank=False) description = models.TextField(blank=True) class TurtleForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = Turtle Sometimes I don't need to update the entire model, but only want to update one of the fields. So when I POST the form only has information for the description. When I do that the model never saves because it thinks that the name is being blanked out while my intent is that the name not change and just be used from the model. turtle_form = TurtleForm(request.POST, instance=object) if turtle_form.is_valid(): turtle_form.save() Is there any way to make this happen?   • Alternate to control+drag to connect view element with file owner in xCode interface builder?

    Working on an iPhone application through a TightVNC connection into a Mac Mini; the control+drag operation in Interface Builder to connect a view element to file owner doesn't work - I don't see the connecting line. It does work when I connect keyboard, mouse and monitor to the Mini and work on it directly, however it is a lot more convenient for me to run it through a VNC connection. Must be some quirk of the TightVNC connection that is preventing this. I tried different TightVNC settings for the cursor (let server handle it and so on) but no luck. Is there an alternative to control+drag to hook up outlets?

    I have some th elements with text in them that should be centered and they also contain images: The up/down arrow graphic is a separate image. My question is, what is the simplest reliable way to position that image over to the right side of the th element while keeping the text centered? I'm open to using jQuery/JavaScript if there's a reasonably simple way to do it.     How would one go about detecting what has been selected on a page in a browser? Example: Click, hold, select 3 words and 1 image on a page, release. Sub-question: How to detect what letter someone clicked on? Without using: A span injector breaking everything up OR a WYSIWYG plugin I'm hoping this isn't just a type of browser interaction you can't detect. There could be many uses, but my goal is a simple 'live' page editor, or at least a way to know what someone is clicking on/selecting aside from just the id of an element.
