  • Evaluation of jQuery function variable value during definition of that function

    I have a large number of rows in a table within which I wish to attach a unique colorpicker (jQuery plugin) to each cell in a particular column identified by unique ids. Given this, I want to automate the generation of instances of the colorpicker as follows: var myrows={"a","b","c",.....} var mycolours={"ffffff","fcdfcd","123123"...} for (var i=0;i<myrows.length;i++) { $("#"+myrows[i]+"colour").ColorPicker({flat: false, color: mycolours[i], onChange: function (hsb, hex, rgb) { $("#"+myrows[i]+"currentcolour").css('backgroundColor', '#' + hex); } }); Now this doesn't work because the evaluation of the $("#"+myrows[i]+"currentcolour") component occurs at the time the function is called, not when it is defined (which is want I need). Given that this plugin javascript appends its code to the level and not to the underlying DOM component that I am accessing above so can't derive what id this pertains to, how can I evaluate the variable during function declaration/definition?     Hello guys, I am new to XMPP. I am using Openfire server, and created a console client using Smack library. My usecase: All users anonymous, logged in (In future, website visitors) will be able to see other anonymous, logged-in users. And they can initiate a private chat (one-to-one) with any of them. So, I am able to logged in as Anonymous user, but I am not able to see other Anon / Logged in users (using Roster), because they are not in anon user's roster. So, What should be configuration OR custom=component/code to to achieve this usecase? Do I need to create server component? Any hint? OR It can be done using proper configuration? Cheers

  • Where are the really high quality and complex Swing components?

    Looking at Swing, I have the feeling that it comes with many useful and reasonable atomic components in its core. And when I look at the Web there are hundrets of quickly plugged together components (among them many date/time pickers, pimped lists and tables), which have in common that I could easily write them on my own, if I needed them. When I build big software and come to the point where I need a domain-specific component which is really big, I mostly come to the point where I have to write it on my own, which, due to the point that they are not just plugged together lists and tables, isn't done qickly. So, the question is, why are there no Swing component galleries which contain more than just customized date/time pickers or lists with added tree support. Where are the components which really raise the level of abstraction, or are in best case domain-specific?

    I'd like to be notified when a file has been created, deleted or changed, but not using polling mechanism. I have surveyed related Java API that can use.(EX:JNotify, JPathWatch and JXFileWatcher) Those APIs provide file monitor by using native component on OS. But I met the same problem is that they can't run on Linux 64bits, because native component in those APIs donen't support Linux 64bits, and this confused me for a long time. I also know that there'll be a WatchService API as part of NIO2 in JDK7, but JDK7 has not released yet. So, can any one suggest me a better solution? Very Thanks.

  • Passing ASP.NET User by Dependency Injection

    In my web application I have various components that need to access the currently authenticated user (HttpContext.User). There are two obvious ways a component can access this: 1) Accessing getting the User from HttpContext.Current 2) Passing the user around in constructors Is not ideal because it makes testing difficult and ties application components to web concerns, when they really shouldn't know about it. Is just messy and complicates everything. So I've been thinking about passing in the current user (or perhaps just the name/id) to any component that needs it using an IoC container (via dependency injection). Is anyone using this technique to supply the current ASP.NET user to parts of the application? Or, Does this sound like a sensible approach? I would like know how this has worked out for people.   • JXTreeTable and BorderHighlighter Drawing Border on All Rows

    I'm using a BorderHighlighter on my JXTreeTable to put a border above each of the table cells on non-leaf rows to give a more clear visual separator for users. The problem is that when I expand the hierarchical column, all cells in the hierarchical column, for all rows, include the Border from the Highlighter. The other columns are displaying just fine.     I have recently been working with a COM+ component that processes an input XML file, and makes a number of database updates based on the supplied data. Running SQL Profiler with EventClass Exception, and User Error Message selected, I see: Exception Error: 102, Severity: 15, State: 1 User Error Message Incorrect syntax near '3'. However I really want to see the full SQL that is being supplied by the COM+ component. Is there anyway for me using Profiler, or other, for me to intercept the SQL statement that was sent to the SQL Server? This machine is using SQL Server 2005, and the COM+ object is written in Delphi.

  • What is the "task" in twitter Storm parallelism

    I'm trying to learn twitter storm by following the great article "Understanding the parallelism of a Storm topology" However I'm a bit confused by the concept of "task". Is a task an running instance of the component(spout or bolt) ? A executor having multiple tasks actually is saying the same component is executed for multiple times by the executor, am I correct ? Moreover in a general parallelism sense, Storm will spawn a dedicated thread(executor) for a spout or bolt, but what is contributed to the parallelism by an executor(thread) having multiple tasks ? I think having multiple tasks in a thread, since a thread executes sequentially, only make the thread a kind of "cached" resource, which avoids spawning new thread for next task run. Am I correct? I may clear those confusion by myself after taking more time to investigate, but you know, we both love stackoverflow ;-) Thanks in advance.

This involves writing queries to select data from the old schema and then inserting the results of the queries into tables in the new schema. The below is an example of what I am trying to do. The SELECT component of the below works fine, but the INSERT component does not work. Can someone show me how to fix the below so that it effectively inserts the results of the SELECT statement into the destination table?   • Trouble dragging and dropping gui components onto other .net forms using NHibernate

    Hi, using VS2008, here. I have a GUI component that loads some stuff from a database mapped by nhibernate in its constructor. When I drag and drop this component onto another form from the toolbox, NHibernate complains that it can't find the config file in program files\visual studio 9\common7\ide. Why is it looking here for the cfg file? I'm actually calling database stuff through another project in the same solution, and the cfg file is located at the root of that project. copy/pasting the cfg file over to there does work, but I'm working with svn here and I don't want to have configuration files outside the repository. Something else that would help would be turning off how it tries to load the data in the form design screen. How would I do that?

    I'm getting this message multiple times when I try to run my game: The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing For some reason, all my prefabs are missing a script that dictates something called their 'Mono Behaviour': What is the Mono Behaviour component, and what does it do? How can I fix this error? I can click the little target circle to bring up all my scripts, but that just gives me all of the scripts that I've written: So I don't really know how to replace my missing Mono Behaviour script... Maybe if I knew what it was I could have a clue how to fix it. I probably moved something. But how can I select the Mono Behaviour script (whatever it is) if the target just shows me my scripts? Update I've moved some assets in the project window, but not via the OS (Finder/Explorer) so why is this happening? Also I am told that Mono Behaviour is a script I've applied... Don't really get this...isn't the script component a reference to a script?

  • IOC/Autofac problem

    I am currently using Autofac, but am open to commentary regarding other IOC containers as well. I would prefer a solution using Autofac if possible. I am also somewhat new to IOC so I may be grossly misunderstanding what I should be using an IOC container for. Basically, the situation is as follows: I have a topmost IOC container for my app. I have a tree of child containers/scopes where I would like the same "service" (IWhatever) to resolve differently depending on which level in the tree it is resolved. Furthermore if a service is not registered at some level in the tree I would like the tree to be transversed upward until a suitable implementation is found. Furthermore, when constructing a given component, it is quite possible that I will need access to the parent container/scope. In many cases the component that I'm registering will have a dependency on the same or a different service in a parent scope. Is there any way to express this dependency with Autofac? Something like: builder.Register(c=> { var parentComponent = ?.Resolve<ISomeService>(); var childComponent = new ConcreteService(parentComponent, args...); return childComponent; }).As<ISomeService>(); I can't get anything similar to the above pseudocode to work for serveral reasons: A) It seems that all levels in the scope tree share a common set of registrations. I can't seem to find a way to make a given registration confined a certain "scope". B) I can't seem to find a way to get a hold of the parent scope of a given scope. I CAN resolve ILifetimeScope in the container and then case it to a concrete LifetimeScope instance which provides its parent scope, but I'm guessing it is probably note meant to be used this way. Is this safe? C) I'm not sure how to tell Autofac which container owns the resolved object. For many components I would like component to be "owned" by the scope in which it is constructed. Could tagged contexts help me here? Would I have to tag every level of the tree with a unique tag? This would be difficult because the tree depth is determined at runtime. Sorry for the extremely lengthy question. In summary: 1) Is there any way to do what I want to do using Autofac? 2) Is there another container more suited to this kind of dependency structure? 3) Is IOC the wrong tool for this altogether?

    I am trying to implement a filter using the component TAdvStringGrid. My requirement is that I want the first row of this component to be editable when double clicked, so that the user can filter data. Borland C++ Builder is used to help achieve this task. I found this event OnCanEditCell. TCanEditCellEvent = procedure (Sender:TObject;Arow,Acol:longint;var canedit:boolean) of object; Within this function I've set canedit = true. This doesn't seem to work. Probably I need to do something more. I am new to Windows and GUI development. So any help would be great. Do I need to call this function from the OnDblClickCell event?   • Design issue with ATG CommercePipelineManager

    The definition of runProcess() method in PipelineManager is public PipelineResult runProcess(String pChainId, Object pParam) throws RunProcessException This gives me an impression that ANY object can be passed as the second param. However, ATG OOTB has PipelineManager component referring to CommercePipelineManager class which overrides the runProcess() method and downcast pParam to map and adds siteId to it. Basically, this enforces the client code to send only Map. Thus, if one needs to create a new pipeline chain, has to use map as data structure to pass on the data. Offcourse, one can always get around this by creating a new PipelineManager component, but I was just wondering the thought behind explicitly using map in CommercePipelineManager

  • JSF: attach rich:toggleControl to radio buttons or select items.

    Has anyone had any success attaching a rich:toggleControl component to a radio button component (h:selectOneRadio) or alternatively any of its children select items (in this case s:enumItem). Basic code example: <h:selectOneRadio value="#{backingValue}"> <s:enumItem enumValue="VAL_1" itemLabel="Value One" /> <s:enumItem enumValue="VAL_2" itemLabel="Value Two" /> <s:convertEnum /> </h:selectOneRadio> The ideal thing would be to attach the toggle control to the enumItems so I could have it switch to a particular state. However at this point I'd be happy if the toggle control can just be attached to the selectOneRadio. I've tried the toggle control as a child of the selectOneRadio and enumItems; neither works. I've also tried wrapping the toggleControl around the selectOneRadio, the toggle control works in this case but the radio buttons don't :(

  • JTable - Getting a cell into Edit mode on pressing Tab

    This is possibly has a trivial solution, but I am at the end of my tether so I hope somebody can help out. I use a JTable which has a custom renderer and a custom editor for a set of columns. The renderer uses a JLabel component and the editor uses a JSpinner component. Our users want to be able to enter values in a column, and then press TAB or ENTER to move to the next editable cell in the table. If I understand correctly, this is the default behaviour for a JTable. However, this doesn't seem to work correctly for me. Until the user clicks on the cell, only the JLabel is displayed. The JSpinner (i.e. CellEditor) is only displayed when a user double clicks on the cell. So, it looks like the cell is going into "edit" mode only on MouseEvents, but not when it has focus. How do I get the cell to go into edit mode as soon as it has focus?

  • How do I get a JComponent to resize after calling `setVisible(true)`?

    Our application displays a 2D view of our data (mainly maps) and then allows the user to change to a 3D view. The 2D and 3D views are generated by custom C++ code that is SWIG'ed into our Swing GUI and wrapped within a JComponent. These JComponents are then displayed within another parent JComponent. Our problem is that when we change from the 2D to the 3D view and then back to the 2D view, when we resize the window the 2D view does not get resized. The resize events don't get sent to the 2D view. Our application runs under Linux (Fedora 11). We're running Java version 1.6.0_12. Here is some sample code in which I've replaced the 2D view and 3D view with two 2 JButtons, that produces the same behaviour. Therefore parent.remove(view2D) and parent.add(view3D) is not really a solution and we have to call setVisible(false) and setVisible(true) on the JComponents that contain our 2D and 3D views in order to hide and show them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I'm looking for a tool to do some automated GUI testing on a HTML5 canvas component we're developing. Basically I'm looking for a tool that is able to record the clicks and events on the canvas component and is able to replay those events. So far most of the testing tools like Telerik WebUI Testing Suite, Selenium, TestSwarm, qUnit, Jasmine, Hudson seems that they don't fully support HTML5 canvas testing. Would you guys know a testing tool that already supports that ? If not, would you know how companies are doing automated testing of HTML5 canvas ? Thanks, Andy N.

  • WPF: How to efficiently update an Image 30 times per second

    Hello, I'm writing a WPF application that uses a component, and this component returns a pointer (IntPtr) to pixels of a bitmap (stride * height). I know in advance that the bitmap is a 24bits rgb, its width and height. Updating the Image control with these bitmaps makes up a video to the user, but I'm not sure what's the most efficient way to do that, most of the time the CPU usage goes to 75%+ and memory changing from 40mb to 500mb and the nI think GC starts to work and then it drops again to 40mm. The app starts to not be responsive. What shoud I do? thanks!
