  • How to put a div above flash file ?

The problem is when i hover icons , tooltips hide under flash banner , I gave high z-index to the tooltip div or other parent div in order position that above flash banner, but no difference .     I have a fairly simple ASP.Net site that uses google checkout (I have an imagebutton with the PostBackUrl set to the Google address passing values of hidden fields) which works fine. I've been moving this app to MVC and I'm not sure how to handle this. I thought about using jQuery form but I don't believe this would work in this situation because there are times when they're redirected to the google pages. Has anyone used google checkout in an asp.net MVC app?

    i have a dropdownlist in aspx (vb.net) that i have 2 dropdownlists. i want to show the second dropdownlist based on the value of first one. they are data wise interconnected, so if after selecting a certain record in first, if the second one has more than one record, the dropdownlist should be visible, else it should remain hidden. am sure this can be done with javascript, but i just dont know how. thanks

Because this has to go out to HTML, and the user has to be able to select the text on the screen, I can't do anything like hidden divs or hidden input fields. The only data I will have is the character range selected on screen. To be specific, this is what it looks like: 1 0:00 --> 0:05 He was bored. So bored.   • IE6 "frame" layout with 100% height and scrollbars

    I want to achieve a simple "frame" layout with fixed header, fixed left navigation area, and a main content area that fills 100% of the remainder of the viewport with scrollbars if necessary. My best attempt is below - but when I add enough content to the main div to force scrolling, I see that the scrollbar extends below the bottom of the viewport. What am I doing wrong? Or what is IE6 doing wrong and how can I fix it?   • HTML::Mason file upload

    Recently I've been trying to get some files uploaded on to my server in my HTML::Mason application. All good no problems there apparently Mason a filehandle directly in the argument. The problem is that I cannot retrieve the filename from that filehandle in a elegant way. One method of resolving this issue is parsing the filename on the client before sending it to the server and placing the extracted value in a hidden field so that it gets sent upon submit. BUT that is very unsafe!

    Hi, I have an animation on a partially hidden div container that will execute when the result returned from an ajax query is true.     Given a DIV with a fixed width, is there a way to have it use as much vertical space as it needs by wrapping the content (which is plain text)? The CSS "overflow" property provides for scrollbars (overflow:scroll) and chopping content (overflow:hidden) but that's not what I want. Help? Thanks

I don't want to rely on obfuscated file id's (giving a photo a UUID of a long number) and count on that being hidden in my media folder. How would I store a photo securely on disk in my database and only stream it out to an authenticated session?

    Hi, I'm trying to use the markitup editor on my site and I'm having a problem trying to figure out what I need to do to submit the text area to my server side script. I'm guessing there is something simple that needs to be done but my lack of JS/JQuery knowledge is making it really hard to find a answer The editor works fine, I just want to use my own form and submit button with it, however when I try to submit the form I don't get any of the textarea data in my script. Any idea what I need to do?
