  • Something remapped <C-w> in Vim, how do I reclaim it?

    I've been adding a lot of things to my Vim configuration, and apparently one of the plugins I've installed is reclaiming . Whenever I use that key combination, it shows this error: "E784: Cannot close last tab page". Is there a way to reclaim 's functionality without disabling the plugins? I mainly use it for switching between view panes in a split window.

  • Samba deny host not blocking that host

    I want to block access to some Samba shares from a certain machine, but somehow I can't get it to work: the machine can still access the shares, and I did restart and reload the samba daemon. Here is a part of my configuration: security = share hosts allow = 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.0/24 interfaces = 127.0.0.1 eth1 192.168.1.2 bind interfaces only = yes hosts deny = 192.168.1.251 encrypt passwords = yes guest ok = yes The shares themselves look like this: [examples] comment = Example path = /foo/bar read only = No guest ok = yes What am I doing wrong here?

  • Exchange ActiveSync is not working with Android's 'verify certificate' setting, what do I need to do to make them work together?

    All other methods of Activesync and web access to my Exchange server are working fine with no errors or issues, but when we attempt to configure Android phones for the server, it will only work with 'verify certificate' checked off. Ideally, I'd like my users to be able to use the default configuration, which includes the 'Verify Certificate' option. My primary question is: 'What does Verify Certificate do?', as I imagine if I knew that, I might have some idea why it isn't working.

I don't understand what network and broadcast are for, it seems extra versus a windows static ip configuration.     I've installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 in a new server and set up the 4 hard drives with 3 RAID 1 devices, the configuration is such that the first two drives have md0 (swap space) and md1 (/) with the third and fourth drives having md2 (/var). I've been testing the operation under a drive failure and found that the system boots fine if I remove disk two but if I remove disk one then the system gets to grub and then just restarts. I'm confused as to why grub appears to be loading properly from disk two but then the boot fails.

    I have a FreeBSD 8.0 amd64 box w/ 1 ATA drive for system root and 4 SATA drives as a RAIDZ pool. The ATA drive isn't mirrored nor part of any pool, but also doesn't hold any valuable data (other then the system). How can I recover my zpool if this ATA drive fails for any reason, but assume my RAIDZ vdev SATA drives remain intact? Should I also use at least a mirror configuration for that?

I don't want a headless configuration, I don't want to run VirtualBox in the background, I don't want any remote protocols.
