• How to add a Tooltip to a "td" with jquery?

  I need to add a tooltip/alt to a "td" element inside of my tables with jquery. Can someone help me out? I tried: var tTip ="Hello world"; $(this).attr("onmouseover", tip(tTip)); where I have verified that I am using the "td" as "this". Edit:I am able to capture the "td" element through using the "alert" command and it worked. So for some reason the "tip" function doesn't work. Anyone know why this would be?

• Is there a Silverlight week picker control?

  We have a report that compares data between weeks, and it seems like this is the exception and not the rule in the reporting world. I'm looking for an elegant way of selecting "a week" in a Silverlight control. I'd prefer not to spend the time building it ourselves, so it would be nice if I could buy a well polished control that does this. Sure, I could use a drop down list, but I would like a way to easily navigate through potentially years worth of weeks. Any existing controls out there? Any clever ways of using basic controls to achieve our goal? Thank you!

  Created One Trigger in Oracle.. SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER student_after_insert 2 AFTER INSERT 3 ON student 4 FOR EACH ROW 5 BEGIN 6 @hello.pl 9 END student_after_insert; 10 / Contents of hello.pl are:- BEGIN DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('hello world'); END; And.. the result is pretty good, as the content of hello.pl is displayed on screen while inserting a record.. Now, the query is -- When i change the content of the hello.pl file, after exiting from oracle, and then logging again, It doesn't shows the updated contents, instead it shows the previous content.. I noticed that, if i drop the trigger and create it again, then it is working fine.. Why is it happening so.. And what is the solution to this problem..

  Hey group, first time posting here I am somewhat new to the JSON/PHP/mySQL world, but been around iPhone designing for the past few years, though this topic of conversation is a while new area I am entering. I have done JSON iPhone examples that allow me to create a UITableView and display the JSON data into the TableViewCells (CustomCells) and displays the data (NSDictionary)into UILabels The problem I am having now, is that I want an APP that displays this information from the JSON into just a couple of UILabel's on a regular UIViewController and not a UITableView any help would greatly be appreciated, the example I used and learned for JSON and UITABLE was from http://tempered.mobi/%20 I used that example from my app, but incorporated a few other things like CUSTOM cells however now when the USER selects the specific CELL I want it to load specific data from another JSON file, and cannot get it to load in a UILabel or UITextView in a UIViewController HELP :-)

• Magento: Deduct Tax at Checkout for (most) countries

  I am working on a UK fashion store. The customer has a specific requirement - never add tax (VAT) at checkout; rather, have VAT built into the price, and deduct when applicable. The use case is that EU purchases will have no tax added at checkout - as the price includes it. And, rest of the world purchases will have the VAT deducted at the checkout. I can't see how to do this in Magento. I though to set up some negative values for tax rates, but that doesn't work. Any ideas?

  Hi all, I'm not sure if this question has been answered elsewhere and I can't seem to find anything through google that isn't a "Hello World" example... I'm coding in C# .NET 4.0. I'm trying to develop a console application that will open, display text, and then wait for the user to input commands, where the commands will run particular business logic. For example: If the user opens the application and types "help", I want to display a number of statements etc etc. I'm not sure how to code the 'event handler' for user input though. Hopefully this makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers.

  Why is Make utility for installing stuff on Linux so complicated? I mean it is really hard to know exactly where stuff goes on the machine. /etc/local? usr local? non-local? It just seems like really chaotic directory structure. Is there some "guide" on how this works? I mean as a new programmer, coming into the world of compiling things - where does on start? Thanks.

  In C# 2.0, I can do the following: public class MyClass { delegate void MyDelegate(int myParam); public MyClass(OtherObject obj) { //THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART obj.SomeCollection.Add((MyDelegate)MyFunction); } private void MyFunction(int myParam); { //... } } Trying to implement the same thing in C++/CLI, it appears I have to do: MyDelegate del = gcnew MyDelegate(this, MyFunction); obj-SomeCollection-Add(del); Obviously I can create a new instance of the delegate in C# as well instead of what's going on up there. Is there some kind of magic going on in the C# world that doesn't exist in C++/CLI that allows that cast to work? Some kind of magic anonymous delegate? Thanks.

  Since I am a beginner in the world of internet/networking, I always mess up with these kinds of doubts in my head while programming ;) .. My doubts are, While working behind a proxy, how my requests and responses work? Means my request headers and data will first reach to Proxy server- then proxy server sends it(same headers and data) to corresponding server. And server responses to it with a response header and body to the proxy server-then proxy server sends it to my computer. Wright? While using websockets we are upgrading our http connection to tcp. At this time what is happening @ Proxy server? Does the proxyserver also upgrades its connection to plain TCP? After opening such TCP connections, does the proxy server able to track/log those socket messsages? And most importantly, Is the proxy server transparent or acting like an original server infront of a client? Thanks for any answers or helpful links in advance.

• Can't find .js file in my mainBundle?!

  This is driving me crazy as I cannot figure out what in the world is going on. I load up files form you main bundle all the time, xml files, html files, etc. But, now I am trying to get the contents of a javascript file but it can never find it. I am using: NSData *jsData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"]]; if (jsData) { NSLog(@"%@", jsData); } else { NSLog(@"Can't find file"); return; } Even checking the [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"global" ofType:@"js"] string returns null. My globaly.js file is in my Resources folder, the exact location where my other files are location that work totally fine using the above method. Why can't it find my js file?

• Running ARM assembly code in Android

  I've been following the guide posted here, trying to get this Hello, World program to run on my Samsung Galaxy S3. It's rooted already, and I successfully pushed the "hello" file onto the sdcard. Now when I enter the shell as the superuser (# instead of $), and try to run the file, I get "cannot execute - permission denied". I used chmod 755 hello to see if that would fix it, still nothing. Is there something I'm missing? This is my first time fiddling around with Android, just got the phone, and wanted to see if I could get this to work. Very new to it all. Thanks!

I need to be able to have the user input a number to shift the encryption by, such as 4: e.g. 'A' to 'E'. The user also needs to input the string to be translated. The book says to use a zip() to do the problem. I am confused on how I would do this though. • Free icons for mobile applications. Where?

  I know that in the sdk folders I can find some (not very well grouped, imho) icon. But, there is a site online specialized that let you download free icons useful for mobile app? Ie world flags, up, down... save, revert..., next..., play, stop..., etc. It would be more appriciated also if you can find these sets in many different colors, and in 2 or 3 sizes (32x32, 64x64, etc.). Have a nice day (ot. Especially my mom - her 62 birthday :-) Edit: those are all good sites, but to green-check the answer I need a small set with the common icons (I think moreabout 50-70 icons), in many different colors and in 2 or 3 different sizes (for lo-mid-hi definition devices). - If a so done site exists for free :-)

  Hi, I am working for a project on disaster management sponsered by World Bank, under this project i have assigned work on CMS. and my senior has asked me to make a ASP.NET webpage where those logged with administrator privilege will be able to edit the page. like:- <div id="mydiv"><pre>+++++++MY CONTENT+++++++++++++++++++</pre></div> now if if the admin clicks on mydiv he should be able to edit the pre contents. for this i got many options such as WYSIWYG editors (but they work on textboxs only and further more they cant save the data back to server replacing the previous content) then I came to know about Webparts , but its editing capabilities was so low that my plan for implementing a WYSIWYG editor went in vain. so I m seeking help from u all is their any way to achieve the motive, it would be better if u can suggest something like incorporating WYSIWYG into webpartmanager editor... If I comment that line in it will not compile. Am I missing something or should I not be using Visual Studio 2010 to compile C code. I know that this can be done in many ways (such as YUI), but for debug purposes I'd like to simply be able to view a JSON objects I receive from a server as a tree, nothing fancy (but collapsable tree's would be a bonus). However, its construct analogous to switch is called match: match (x) { | "Hello World" => ... | _ => ... } Is it possible to get the cinoptions for switch statements to apply to this construct, instead?   Hi, I have to complete a timer on powerpoint, it countsdown for a specificed amount of time when a shape on particular slide is clicked. I heard macros could be a way to do this, but I have very little knowledge about them. With my research I was able to add a macro and pop out a message box when a shape is clicked*. How can I implement a timer with this? VB syntax is pretty unfamiliar to me. • How to stop jQuery from returning tabs and spaces from formated code on .html() .val() .text() etc.

  I've got an html table: <table><tr> <td>M1</td> <td>M2</td> <td>M3</td> <td>M4</td> </tr></table> and a simple jQ script: $('td').click(function(){ alert( $(this).html() ); }); That works just fine.... but in the real world, I've got several hundred table cells and the code is formatted improperly in places because of several people editing the page. So if the html is: <td> M1 </td> then the alert() is giving me all the tabs and returns and spaces: What can I do to get ONLY the text without the tabs and spaces? I've tried .html(), .val(), .text() to no avail. Thanks!
