  Hi, I am using a jquery contextmenu plugin for right click menus which I am trying to add to each li element of an unordered list with the ID mailbox. The code I have is: $("#mailbox > li").contextMenu('myMenu1', { bindings: { 'open': function(t) { alert('Trigger was '+t.id+'\nAction was Open'); } //CODE SNIPPED }); My assumption is that this should alert the id of the list element that the contextMenu was called from, however it is returning an empty string. Am I accessing/assigning these correctly? t is an object HTMLLIElement in the context above by the way. Cheers, Gazler.

• File upload with tdo-miniforms not working

  I am using the TDO-miniforms plugin for wordpress. I have a form set up that lets the user submit files. The files are successfully uploaded to the tmp-folder, but once the post is created they are not copied into the allocated post folder. The only thing that is created in the folder with a post id is a file called array. It seems like the file holds the binary data of the uploaded files. The “correct” urls are appended to the post content I am running wordpress 2.9.2 on snow leopard using Mamp.

• C#: Resource file refactoring

  Does anyone know of a good tool for refactoring resources in a visual studio 2008 solution? We have a number of resource files with translated text in an assembly used for localizing our application. But they have gotten a bit messy... I would like to rename some of the keys, and move some of them into other resource files. And I would like those changes be done in my code, and the translated versions of the resource files as well. Maybe a some analysis on what strings are missing in the translated versions, and what strings have been removed from the original as well... Does anyone know of a good visual studio extension or ReSharper plugin that can help me with this? Right now it is kind of a pain, because I have to first rename the key in the base resource file, then in the localized versions. And then compile to get all the compile errors resulting from the key which now have a different name, and then go through and fix them all... very annoying =/

  I need to be able to change the size of my Silverlight object at run time because I have content that changes in size dramatically between pages, and I'd rather not show a Silverlight scroll bar inside the browser scroll bar. I was able to do the following to get it to work: In the aspx page hosting the silverlight control: - Set your Div to the starting size you need it to be - Set the Silverlight Obejct to width=”100%” height=”100%” In your Main page add this: public static void ChangeSize(string height) { var myDiv = HtmlPage.Plugin.Parent; while (myDiv.TagName != "div") myDiv = myDiv.Parent; myDiv.SetStyleAttribute("height", height); } Anywhere you want to now change the size of the page do this: string newHeight = (App.Current.Host.Content.ActualHeight + 75).ToString(); MainPage.ChangeSize(newHeight + "px"); //App.Current.Host.Content.ActualHeight will get the current actual height of the object Is there a way that I can set this to re-size automatically so that I do not have to specify the amount to change?   I have a maven-managed project with some modules. One module contains some native codes inside "src/main/resources/native" directory. Second module packages all related modules to a WAR file. Here comes the question : How to copy the "native/" directory (and its sub-directories) in first module to WEB-INF/native directory in the second module ? I found a copy resources plugin , but it seems not what I want. (It copies directory inside the same module , but I want cross-module copy) Thanks in advanced.

• Building a jar to be used in an eclipse PDE?

  I have written an application that use a third party library. I have then packaged this as an executable jar using the maven-assembly-plugin (producing a jar with all dependencies including some of the third-party jars). Next I need to add this jar to a PDE project so it can be launched from eclipse. But to make this work I need to add some of the thirs-party dependencies to my PDE project which is already located in the packaged jar. So I get duplicated dependencies. Any ideas on how to avoid this? Or suggestion to documentation that describes how this is done properly?

• Create a (edit) hyperlink in front of dropdownbox with jQuery

  I have a table with some data. All data is contained in dropdownboxes and textbox. But it isn't easy to see, what is newly written input and what is data from the database. So I want to create a (edit) after these boxes, and replace the boxes with a literal where the contained value in the dropdownbox stands. When the edit-button is pushed the literal goes away and the dropdownbox appears instead, so it is possible to edit the data. This is all, the jQuery don't have to save the data to database, I have functionality to that in a save-button. I don't want to use any extra plugin to jQuery, because it seems to be a fairly simpel task. Any good ideas?

• Alert Box Running First?

  I have some jQuery/JS below. If I run this the alert will show, and then the first animate will happen in the background but not be shown. It will just appear at the final size. Shouldn't the alert run at the end of all the animation? Can anyone explain why this is happening?

• Autoplaynig video/image gallery - with a catch

  Looking for a (jQuery) video/image gallery to implement on my website, I've found many freely available option. However, I need one that, when in "autoplay" mode and gets to a video file, automatically plays an entire file, and only then moves on to the next image/video. Similar to what Picasaweb are doing when you ask to autoplay an online gallery of your images/videos. I have found, for example, this plugin: http://www.yoxigen.com/yoxview/. Notice that images 6 & 8 are actually video feeds, but when in autoplay mode, are treated just like any other image, i.e. - displayed for a few seconds then moves on to the next file... not what I need. • Is it possible to turn a normal date into an ISO 8601 time format?

  I am trying to turn this type of format of the date: Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at 10:37 PM Into an ISO 8601 format (with PHP). How can I do this? I've tried: date("c", $row2['time']) Obviously, that's not correct, because the timeago jQuery plugin is saying "41 years ago", and that is definitely not 41 years ago. Is it not possible to turn that kind of date into the ISO 8601 format? I've tried searching for this and I haven't found any solutions on how to turn this format into ISO 8601.

• How to edit files on the users file system from my web server?

  Hello all, I am really looking for implementation advice as I have entered a new realm that I am not familiar with. At the simplest level, I would like to find a way that I can read/write to a users machine from my web server. For this to work, I think I will have to install some sort of "plugin" on the users machine which can receive (or poll?) the server for instructions. The above is the line of thought that I currently have, maybe using JAVA to do this. This needs to work on Linux, Mac and Windows OS. I am really looking for advice on the above, is it a good idea? Is there a better way of doing this? Is there something out there already that I can build on top of? I really appreciate all input and advice as this is something I have not done before. Thanks all

• Can you recommend an in-browser Ruby/Rails 3D renderer?

  I want to draw some 3D network diagrams in a web browser, and the data for these diagrams are in a Rails app (in the database). I already use flotomatic as a Rails interface for pretty Javascript plots (e.g., independent variable, dependent variable). Certainly there are packages for drawing simple things in Javascript. What I'm looking for is (a) a Javascript package for 3D drawings that are displayed in a web browser (without a plugin), and (b) a Ruby API for that package, if possible. Any recommendations? • How to dynamically set div size?

  I have a div container with a text that has been previously typed in by the user. I would like to adjust the size of the div to this text. I cannot have fixed size because I dont know the length of the text. If there is no size specified div takes the width of entire window. This cause some problems for me because I am using JQuery draggable plugin and the scrollbars appear immediately when the div is dragged. Any advice on that?

  I'm working on migrating a website from an external server (running Apache) to a local server (running IIS), and have come across an issue that I can't seem to resolve. The site is using a custom Joomla plugin that grabs some graphics stored in a mysql database (for e.g. http://www.norfolktourism.ca/index.php?option=com_bdirectory&task=image&cid=191). However, when I migrate the site to the local server, the images are broken. Upon further exploration, I've discovered that somehow, when ran on the local server, their seems to whitespace (as in a new line) gets processed before the header() function is processed, hence breaking the image (however, I don't get an error - just a broken image). I'm absolutely baffled as to what the issue may be, as the code works fine on the external Apache server. Would anyone have any suggestions on possible resolutions?

• Using Fancybox for country select in WordPress

  I am new to developing sites and just started using wordpress. I was told that I could use fancybox to help create a popup that would allow a person to select a country. Something similar to below, the only problem is I have no clue how to do this, I installed a fancybox plugin in (http://wordpress.org/plugins/fancybox-for-wordpress/). The way the person did it was you click on an image and then this text country pops up. How do I implement this to pop up a country select after you click on an image? Thanks!

• Rails - set POST request limit (file upload)

  I am building a file uploader for Rails, using CarrierWave. I am pretty happy about it's API, except that I don't seem to be able to cut file uploads that exceed a limit on the fly. I found this plugin for validation, but the problem is that it happens after the upload is completed. It is completely unacceptable in my case, as any user could take the site down by uploading a huge file. So, I figure that the way would be to use some Rack configuration or middleware that will limit POST body size as it receives. I am hosting on Heroku, as context. *I am aware of https://github.com/dwilkie/carrierwave_direct but it doesn't solve my issue as I have to resize first and discard the original large image.

• JQuery QuickSearch: Searching on load if the input isn't blank

  I have used the jquery quicksearch plugin and it works fine, except for one problem. I would like the quicksearch to run when the page is loaded. I have created a second quicksearch function (which is called when the page is loaded) and changed the bind to something else, but it won't work on "load" or "ready". If I change the bind to "focus" and put the focus onto the textfield it works, but only in IE. The reason I want to do this is because there is a "view" link where the user leaves the page. When they come back, I would like the search results to be as they left them.

• Can I use Jquery to automatically find and set the width and height of a variety of images?

  I am using the Masonry Plugin and for it to work correctly with images, you need to set the width and height within the image tag. All the image's heights will vary, but the width will be set at 200px. Is there a way for Jquery to detect the height of each image and set it's height? That way I don't have to go set the height of every single image. Does this make sense? Hope someone can help! I am new to Jquery.

  I've got an issue where I was tying to center images using the jQuery Cycle plugin. • quickflip + slideshow animation

  I have been trying to integrate quickflip and a slideshow animation. So everytime when the user hovers over the image, it would pause the animation and "flip to the other side". When the user hovers out, it would then replace its normal state. The problem is here is I do not know how to handle the quickflip code (http://jonraasch.com/blog/quickflip-2-jquery-plugin). I have looked at the sample code and tried to replace it, but at the end the animations would get messed up...
