    I'm a novice in Css and it's difficult to search for this specific case on the internet, so I post a question here. I'm working on an existing code base and I see something like this. li { background-color: #000 \9; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); } I don't understand the meaning of \9. But it looks to me they are duplicates and I should remove one of them. Could you please explain the \9 and should I remove one of them? Thanks.

  • oracle select query - index on multiple columns

    Hello. I'm working on a sql query, and trying to optimise it, because it takes too long to execute. I have a few select and UNION between. Every select is on the same table but with different condition in WHERE clause. Basically I have allways something like : select * from A where field1 <"toto" and field2 IN (...) UNION select * from A where field1 >"toto2" and field2 =(...) UNION .... I have a index on field1 (it a date field, and field2 is a number). Now, when I do the select and if I put only WHERE field1 <'12/12/2010' it does not use the index. I'm using Toad to see the explain plain and it said: SELECT STAITEMENT Optimiser Mode = CHOOSE TABLE ACCESS FULL It is a huge table, and the index on this column is there. Any idea about this optimiser ? And why it does not uses the index ? Another question is , if I have where clause on field1 and field2 , I have to create only one index, or one index for each field ?   • Testing on blackberry device - adding and removing app multiple times

    It would be useful for many people to know how to completely remove an application from your device when testing. I have downloaded my app many times now, and likewise have deleted it many times. The problem is when deleting the app, it does not remove things like the persistent object related to my app, or the images downloaded through the app. So, when I download the next build, I have no idea if something broke that is related to building the persistent object or fetching the images since those elements already exist from the last build. I don't know if this is a cache thing. I don't know if this is expected and I have to use some utility to wipe this data after deleting the app. I can't really find much info through basic web searches. Any information would be appreciated. Blackberry Bold 9000. 4.6 OS. tested with both SD card and no SD card.

  • [Apache] Creating rewrite rules for multiple urls in the same folder

    I have been asked by our client to convert a site we created into SEO friendly url format. I've managed to crack a small way into this, but have hit a problem with having the same urls in the same folder. I am trying to rewrite the following urls, /review/index.php?cid=intercasino /review/submit.php?cid=intercasino /review/index.php?cid=intercasino&page=2#reviews I would like to get them to, /review/intercasino /submit-review/intercasino /review/intercasino/2#reviews I've almost got it working using the following rule, RewriteRule (submit-review)/(.*)$ review/submit.php?cid=$2 [L] RewriteRule (^review)/(.*) review/index.php?cid=$2 The problem, you may already see, is that /submit-review rewrites to /review, which in turn gets rewritten to index.php, thus my review submission page is lost in place of my index page. I figured that putting [L] would prevent the second rule being called, but it seems that it rewrites both urls in two seperate passes. I've also tried [QSE], and [S=1] I would rather not have to move my files into different folders to get the rewriting to work, as that just seems too much like bad practise.   • Multiple Solution Layout for ASP.NET Web Portal?

    At work, we've developed a custom ASP.NET Web Portal (That's very similar to iGoogle). We have "Apps" (self-contained, large web forms) and "Modules" (similar to Google Gadgets). Currently, we use a single-solution model. Right now, we have: 3 core projects 60 application projects 80 module projects To reduce copy and pasting between projects, we're going to factor out common functionality (Data Access, Business Logic) into separate projects. I'd also like to introduce Unit Tests, which is going to increase the number of projects even more. We've already reached the point where Visual Studio is choking on the number of projects. We generally only load the 3 core projects and then whatever app's/module's project we're working on. Would a different solution structure help us out? Our number of projects is only going to increase. In general, an app or module only references the 3 core projects. Soon, apps/modules may start referencing the Data Access/Business Logic projects. But in general, apps and modules do not make references between themselves. So to recap, what is the best practice for solution structure when there are MANY projects that use a small number of core projects?

    I have a simple SEO task. There's a City model and a Brand model, and I have to create 1st-level URLs for both (e.g. site.com/honda and site.com/boston). What's the preferred routing/controller combination to do this in Rails? I can only think of map.connect '/:id', :controller => 'catchall', :action => 'index' class CatchallController < ApplicationController def index if City.exists?(:slug => params[:id]) @city = City.find_by_slug!(params[:id]) render 'cities/show' else @brand = Brand.find_by_slug!(params[:id]) render 'brands/show' end end end but it seems to be very un-Rails to put such logic into the controller. (Obviously I need to make sure that the slugs don't overlap in the models, that's done).

  • C# Windows Service Multiple Config Files

    Quick Question Is it possible to have more than 1 config file in a windows service? Or is there some way I can merge them at run time? Scenario Currently I have two config files containing the below contents. After I build and install my Windows Service, I can't get my custom XML Parser class to read the content because it keeps pointing to the wrong config file, even though I am using a few lines of code to ensure it gets the right name of the config file I need to access. ALSO When I navigate to the folder in which the service is installed, there is only sign of the normal APP.Config file, and no sign of the custom config file. (I have even set the normal ones properties to "Do Not Copy" and the custom ones properties to "Copy Always").     I am using Sunspot and Will_paginate for search in my application and don't how to have my search results start out with certain ordering conditions. The model I am searching is the UserPrice model and want my :price and :purchase_date in descending order or lowest price to highest and present date to past: class UserPrice < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessible :price, :product_name, :purchase_date belongs_to :product # Sunspot configuration searchable do text :product_name do product.name end end end class SearchController < ApplicationController def index @search = UserPrice.search do fulltext params[:search] paginate(:per_page => 5, :page => params[:page]) end @user_prices = @search.results end end Even though I don't know how, I'm not sure if I would use Sunspot or Will_paginate to sort by order of price and purchase date. I have made the replace function and everything works great, but I am stumped getting it to work with command line arguments. Here is the main code: (replace function not included) main = do text <- getContents (command1:command2:_) <- getArgs putStrLn (replace (read command1) (read command2) text) So for intstance in the terminal I want to be able to type something like: "--- cat textfile.txt | ./replace oldword newword" I know this code is close since I have seen others do it this way.     Ok, i saw some other posts about this sort of thing, but not exactly related. This is not what I want to do, but need to do unfortunately. We have in this order right now Prototype 1.6 jQuery 1.2.6 with noConflict on jQuery with j I need to add jQuery 1.4.2 in that mix as well. It will always be the last one loaded. No option.     I have a program that takes as input an array of lat/long points. I need to perform a check on that array to ensure that all of the points are within a certain radius. So, for example, the maximum radius I will allow is 100 miles. Given an array of lat/long (coming from a MySQL database, could be 10 points could be 10000) I need to figure out if they will all fit in a circle with radius of 100 miles. Kinda stumped on how to approach this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In short: I need to find a way to implement swipe action (touchEvent) for my Calendar just like the default Android Calendar one. I am using GridView to make a calendar for my application. When I touch any date, I launch an activity to display details on that date. My problem is that now I tried to implement swipe to change month/year to display but I dont know a way to do it. I tried to use setOnTouchListener on GridView but it seems like detecting for each grid separately instead of the whole grid as one. Further problem would be that it overridden my onItemClick implementation as well.

    I'm playing around with sockets in C/Python and I wonder what is the most efficient way to send headers from a Python dictionary to the client socket. My ideas: use a send call for every header. Pros: No memory allocation needed. Cons: many send calls -- probably error prone; error management should be rather complicated use a buffer. Pros: one send call, error checking a lot easier. Cons: Need a buffer :-) malloc/realloc should be rather slow and using a (too) big buffer to avoid realloc calls wastes memory. Any tips for me? Thanks :-)

    hello, my main question is as follows: how to show only the first subchild of a ul or li upon clicking the enclosing parent. eg: <ul> Grandparent <li> Child1 <li> Grandchild11</li></li> <li> Child2 <li>GrandChild21</li><li>grandchild22</li></li> </ul> so, for example I would like something to the effect of <script> $('ul').click(function(){ $('ul').children('first li').toggle() }); $('li').click(function(){ $('li').children('first li').toggle() }); </script> meaning: when i click ul, i only see the first child node (child1 and child2 will be shown, but not the grandchildren). when i click child1 or child2 i see the respective grandchild. grandchild is not shown upon clicking grandparent, only upon clicking child1 or child2. i know i am reinventing the wheel of some pre-coded solution, but any help would be largely appreciated!

    Given data like this C1<-c(3,-999.000,4,4,5) C2<-c(3,7,3,4,5) C3<-c(5,4,3,6,-999.000) DF<-data.frame(ID=c("A","B","C","D","E"),C1=C1,C2=C2,C3=C3) How do I go about removing the -999.000 data in all of the columns I know this works per column DF2<-DF[!(DF$C1==-999.000 | DF$C2==-999.000 | DF$C3==-999.000),] But I'd like to avoid referencing each column. I am thinking there is an easy way to reference all of the columns in a particular data frame aka: DF3<-DF[!(DF[,]==-999.000),] or DF3<-DF[!(DF[,(2:4)]==-999.000),] but obviously these do not work And out of curiosity, bonus points if you can me why I need that last comma before the ending square bracket as in: ==-999.000),]
