• Accessing the Atlassian Crowd SOAP API with Suds (python SOAP library)

  Has anybody had any recent success with accessing the Crowd SOAP API via the Suds Python library? I've found a few people successfully doing it in the past but Atlassian seems to have changed their WSDL since then to make the existing advice not entirely helpful. When in asp.net I change the from mail address to username given in NetworkCredential, I recieve mails. But in C# windows application, I can get emails, even if sender's email address is not valid. • Identify valid server in XML-RPC request using PHP

  I'm working on a client-server system, where the client makes XMLRPC requests to the server. The client part of the system is handed to a third-party, meaning that he could eventually modify the code or re-route the xmlrpc requests. Now, hoping the third-party won't modify the code, I need a way to make sure that the server the client script is contacting is actually MY server (cause, the person could somehow reroute the requests to his own server where he could make up some xml responses, not what I want). Is there a way to identify a server using PHP? Some sort of SSL connection? Hope you guys understand me. Cheers.

  I'm using suds for the first time and trying to communicate with a server hosted by an external company. • SSL Slow in IE 8.0.7600.16385IC

  I'm having a performance problem on my company's web site using a specific version of IE 8 to load a page using https. Here's what I know. Server: Virtual machine running on VMWare ESX Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP 2 Tomcat 6.0.16 Client: Windows XP and Window 7 Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385IC Page loads/refreshes in under 1 second using HTTP. Page loads/refreshes in 15-16 seconds in HTTPS using this version of IE. Problem reproduced on multiple client machines with same IE version. Problem reproduced on multiple client machines with different Windows versions (XP and 7). No performance problem using Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari from same machine. No performance problem using other versions of IE 8 on other machines. Slow load causes virtually no CPU, memory, or I/O spike on server or client machine. No performance problem on other sites using HTTPS on same client machine. The pages in question use JavaScript and innerHTML to replace the contents of div elements to create a collapsible menu, and an iframe to display some content. A couple of the div elements contain images. If I remove the iframe and the JavaScript, the performance issues go away. However, rewriting the entire site to make these changes would be very time consuming. We're in the process of replacing the whole site, but it may be 2-3 months before we do so and we really cannot live with this slowdown that long. I've already looked at several IE tuning options, such as disabling add ons, running IE-rereg, and resetting IE, with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

• LLBLGen Pro v3.1 released!

  Yesterday we released LLBLGen Pro v3.1! Version 3.1 comes with new features and enhancements, which I'll describe briefly below. v3.1 is a free upgrade for v3.x licensees. What's new / changed? Designer Extensible Import system. An extensible import system has been added to the designer to import project data from external sources. Importers are plug-ins which import project meta-data (like entity definitions, mappings and relational model data) from an external source into the loaded project. In v3.1, an importer plug-in for importing project elements from existing LLBLGen Pro v3.x project files has been included. You can use this importer to create source projects from which you import parts of models to build your actual project with. Model-only relationships. In v3.1, relationships of the type 1:1, m:1 and 1:n can be marked as model-only. A model-only relationship isn't required to have a backing foreign key constraint in the relational model data. They're ideal for projects which have to work with relational databases where changes can't always be made or some relationships can't be added to (e.g. the ones which are important for the entity model, but are not allowed to be added to the relational model for some reason). Custom field ordering. Although fields in an entity definition don't really have an ordering, it can be important for some situations to have the entity fields in a given order, e.g. when you use compound primary keys. Field ordering can be defined using a pop-up dialog which can be opened through various ways, e.g. inside the project explorer, model view and entity editor. It can also be set automatically during refreshes based on new settings. Command line relational model data refresher tool, CliRefresher.exe. The command line refresh tool shipped with v2.6 is now available for v3.1 as well Navigation enhancements in various designer elements. It's now easier to find elements like entities, typed views etc. in the project explorer from editors, to navigate to related entities in the project explorer by right clicking a relationship, navigate to the super-type in the project explorer when right-clicking an entity and navigate to the sub-type in the project explorer when right-clicking a sub-type node in the project explorer. Minor visual enhancements / tweaks LLBLGen Pro Runtime Framework Entity creation is now up to 30% faster and takes 5% less memory. Creating an entity object has been optimized further by tweaks inside the framework to make instantiating an entity object up to 30% faster. It now also takes up to 5% less memory than in v3.0 Prefetch Path node merging is now up to 20-25% faster. Setting entity references required the creation of a new relationship object. As this relationship object is always used internally it could be cached (as it's used for syncing only). This increases performance by 20-25% in the merging functionality. Entity fetches are now up to 20% faster. A large number of tweaks have been applied to make entity fetches up to 20% faster than in v3.0. Full WCF RIA support. It's now possible to use your LLBLGen Pro runtime framework powered domain layer in a WCF RIA application using the VS.NET tools for WCF RIA services. WCF RIA services is a Microsoft technology for .NET 4 and typically used within silverlight applications. SQL Server DQE compatibility level is now per instance. (Usable in Adapter). It's now possible to set the compatibility level of the SQL Server Dynamic Query Engine (DQE) per instance of the DQE instead of the global setting it was before. The global setting is still available and is used as the default value for the compatibility level per-instance. You can use this to switch between CE Desktop and normal SQL Server compatibility per DataAccessAdapter instance. Support for COUNT_BIG aggregate function (SQL Server specific). The aggregate function COUNT_BIG has been added to the list of available aggregate functions to be used in the framework. Minor changes / tweaks I'm especially pleased with the import system, as that makes working with entity models a lot easier. The import system lets you import from another LLBLGen Pro v3 project any entity definition, mapping and / or meta-data like table definitions. This way you can build repository projects where you store model fragments, e.g. the building blocks for a customer-order system, a user credential model etc., any model you can think of. In most projects, you'll recognize that some parts of your new model look familiar. In these cases it would have been easier if you would have been able to import these parts from projects you had pre-created. With LLBLGen Pro v3.1 you can. For example, say you have an Oracle schema called CRM which contains the bread 'n' butter customer-order-product kind of model. You create an entity model from that schema and save it in a project file. Now you start working on another project for another customer and you have to use SQL Server. You also start using model-first development, so develop the entity model from scratch as there's no existing database. As this customer also requires some CRM like entity model, you import the entities from your saved Oracle project into this new SQL Server targeting project. Because you don't work with Oracle this time, you don't import the relational meta-data, just the entities, their relationships and possibly their inheritance hierarchies, if any. As they're now entities in your project you can change them a bit to match the new customer's requirements. This can save you a lot of time, because you can re-use pre-fab model fragments for new projects. In the example above there are no tables yet (as you work model first) so using the forward mapping capabilities of LLBLGen Pro v3 creates the tables, PK constraints, Unique Constraints and FK constraints for you. This way you can build a nice repository of model fragments which you can re-use in new projects.

Here is what we do when we push updates to the production. Problem is that there's no crossdomain or clientaccesspolicy that allows calls from my client at www.google.com/crossdomain.xml Question is: Will a call from a SL running out of browser, and in full trust still be classified as a crossdomain call?   Hi everybody. I'm working with gwtai to integrate a java applet into my gwt - project. Basic communication from my main application to the applet (such as invoking simple methods that return int or boolean values) works. But the main reason why I need to integrate this applet is, that I need it to connect to another server and receive a answer and pass it to my gwt-application. So there's one basic method in the applet: public String SendAndReceive(String host, int sendPort, int receivePort, String query) that connects to the server, receives an answer and returns this answer as a string. When I now try to invoke this method like this: applet.SendAndReceive("0.0.0.0", 9099, 2000, "show streams;"); I constantly run into following error (full error message at the end): com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (String): Error calling method on NPObject! [plugin exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission * read,write)] I couldn't find a solution (for gwtai is a quite uncommon topic), what I found out (and what the Exception let's one assume) is, that there's a security problem - maybe because I'm connecting to another server. I also read something about browser's Single Origin Policy, what would point in the same direction...up to now I have never worked with java applets. So if someone has a solution or a hint I would be very thankful. If more code is helpful I can give.   hi, i know this question have been mentioned alot here but mine is a little more updated, now with ASP.net 4 and new Ajax client templating plus JASON services. so if i got all these new capabilities will i really need server side controls as long as i can bind on client side, create data-views on client side heck i can even use data-context and apply CRUD operations on clients side. so i actually i wont need button_click server side event or what so ever... i am asking this because i own some commercial Controls like Telerik and Component art and they both offer client side operations ow but still i am confused as to my knowledge creating these controls will still have to go through Page Life cycle please advise me.

  I recently decided to switch from Eclipse to Android Studio. I imported a project I was working on and am now getting this error when I try to run the project. Gradle: Execution failed for task ':project:dexDebug'. > Could not call IncrementalTask.taskAction() on task ':project:dexDebug' I've been cruising this site for 2 days now and trying different suggestions to no avail. • Cannot install .NET Framework 4.0 on Windows XP SP3

  I'm using Windows XP SP3 logged in as the administrator. I had RAID Mirroring running. The motherboard broke earlier in the year. When I got a new battery I did not resync. I just use the disks as two separate disks. I searched Google for the errors but I didn't find anything detailed enough. • Dynamic DNS registration for VPN clients

  I've got a VPN server set up in my Active Directory on a remote network. (VPN Server is separate box from DNS/AD) When I dial into the network (client machine is not a member of the AD) the machine does not register its IP or Hostname in the DNS. I've played with all possible combinations of DHCP and RRAS-allocated IP pools, and none of them seem to cause my client to register. Is it because my client has to be a member of the domain? Are there some security settins I can tweak so that it can register its hostname/ip? I've looked in the event logs (System and Security) for the AD, DNS, DHCP, RRAS, and the client machine, and don't see anything relating to DNS Registration. I found this great article in Microsoft's KB. So the problem here is that the VPN Server "pre-reserves" the DHCP addresses, but then you have to add the DHCP Relay Agent to relay the secondary request for scope options. My problem is that the DHCP Relay Agent isn't relaying to the local DHCP server (same box as the VPN/RRAS). I've configured the DHCP Relay Agent according to this KB, but it dosn't work for a local DHCP server. (I see the request count increasing, but no responses) I was able to get everything working by specifying the DNS server and domain name in the VPN connection properties on the client. But am still unable to assign it (or the default gateway) dynamically via DHCP. The client also has to be a member of the remote domain.

  For some reason, we can't update the SVN in some build machines. Installed svn version is 1.3.x. But Hudson slave used 1.6 to create a checkout. • Did OpenPOP.net with GMail attachments break recently?

• TCP-Connection Establishment = How to measure time based on Ping RRT?

  Hello Experts, I would be greatful for help, understanding how long it takes to establish a TCP connection when I have the Ping RoundTripTip: According to Wikipedia a TCP Connection will be established in three steps: 1.SYN-SENT (=>CLIENT TO SERVER) 2.SYN/ACK-RECEIVED (=>SERVER TO CLIENT) 3.ACK-SENT (=>CLIENT TO SERVER) My Questions: Is it correct, that the third transmission (ACK-SENT) will not yet carry any payload (my data) but is only used for the connection establishement.(This leads to the conclusion, that the fourth packt will be the first packt to hold any payload....) Is it correct to assume, that when my Ping RoundTripTime is 20 milliseconds, that in the example given above, the TCP Connection establishment would at least require 30 millisecons, before any data can be transmitted between the Client and Server?
