  • Include error in writing html file from php

    I seem to have some problem with my code here.     I'm calling in a RSS feed to my website using PHP. Currently my code below is calling in the entire contents for pubDate: <pubDate>Thu, 12 Sep 2013 07:23:59 +0000</pubDate> How do I just display the day and month from the above example i.e. 12 Sep? EDIT I should clarify, the above line of code is an example output I currently get but as I'm calling the latest 3 posts from an RSS feed, this date and time will vary. I therefore need the code to be more dynamic (if that's the right term!)   • jqtransform and collapsed DIV

    Hello, I am using a jQuery plugin called: jqtransform This plugin uses JavaScript to apply CSS styles to form elements. The problem that I have consists in the following scenario: I’m building a search page, with a advanced search option. When the page loads, the div called “advancedSearch” is hidden, and it will only show if the user clicks a element. Inside the div#advancedSearch I have several form elements. However, if I hide the div#advancedSearch with the CSS style: “diplay:none;”, the jqtransform plugin doesn’t work correctly with the elements that are hidden. So my solution was to hide the div#advancedsearch with JavaScript. This actually works, and it does not matter if it’s done after the document is ready or not. But… with the JavaScript solution, the div#advancedSearch stays visible for a couple of milliseconds… which is visually annoying. So I was wondering if the solution to this problem would be in the CSS, or in correcting the jqtransform plugin, or even in finding a way to immediately hide the div#advancedSearch with JS making it immediately hidden. UPDATE 1 After jeerose comment I decided to place here my function (please note that the <%= % are ASP.Net tags, that I use to get the images path) $('.toggleAdvancedSearch').click(function() { $('#advancedSearchWrap').slideToggle(250); $('form.jqtransform').jqTransform({ imgPath: '<%= ResolveClientUrl("~/masterpages/img/jqtransform/") %>' }); return false; }); UPDATE 2 To test the problem, I did the following: Added another element to the page, with the ID “applyStyle”, and onClick I call the $('form').jqTransform(); Disabled the the $('form').jqTransform(); from the load of the page. If I press the a#applyStyle, before expanding the div#advancedSearch I get the same problem that I had. But if I expand the the div#advancedSearch and press the the a#applyStyle after, the problem is solved. However, if I run the page with the $('form').jqTransform(); function on the load, I cannot reapply it after with the pressing of the a#applyStyle. I think that the solution could be: disabling the all the elements that are inside the div#advancedSearch, and on the same function that expands the div, make It also apply the styles to the elements that are inside the div#advancedSearch. However, I don’t know how to do this (nether if this will work). PS: This seems to be a known issue with the plugin, but I cannot wait indefinitely for a solution.

For example, I can set a style to e.srcElement But, how can I later access this element to (for example) reset its style ? And how can I know at which place in the dom tree it is ?     Hi, I did a Mod rewrite for my website so the URLs looks like this : http://www.mydomain.com/health/54856 http://www.mydomain.com/economy/strategy/911025/ http://www.mydomain.com/tags/obama/new So, the problem is that i make AJAX calls to a file here : http://www.mydomain.com/login.php And i don't want to write the FULL url or even use ../ trick because there isn't a fixed number of folders.   • Weird bug in header in IE7

    Hi all, I have a weird bug in IE7. http://www.luukratief-design.nl/dump/simplefolio/ the navigation has to be centered. same goes for the background. Now every browser does it perfectly. even IE6! (didnt do pngfix yet). The only one who is having problems is IE7 who shifts the whole navbar element to the right. Anyone knows how this is possible?

  • How do I populate these fields from existing data?

    I'm not sure how to make a few parts of my form to populate from data from an array I'm passing from the database. First is this <select> object.   • Super simple CSS tooltip in a table, why is it not displaying and can I make it work?

    Hi, I have been trying to implement many different tooltips on this page for my client, he's adamant that we have a picture of the product show up when you hover over the product name in the order page. I decided to use the super simple CSS tooltip, it's very easy to implement and does exactly what we want. It works on a dynamic page, the others I tried didn't. I have made an example here: CSS tooltip in table example. This page used to be displayed using divs, I have since changed it to a table, as it's tabular data and easier to work with. It worked fine when it used divs, now it's in a table, it won't display the span on hover. My questions are: Why is it not working? How can I make it work? If not, does anyone know another super easy to implement tooltip that can work properly on a dynamic page? Here's the DIV tooltip for reference: DIV display tooltip. Edit: Just noticed it kinda half works in IE8. Thanks.

  • Where to Start with build a personal site and WordPress, CSS and CMS

    Hey guys im in a very confused state of mind at the moment and need some help with Word Press and generally starting a website. My parents have had a business for 20 years and have finally decided to get a website! As im studying IT and Business i said id get it done for them. Rather than design it from scratch i used a template which i bought from themeforest.net (awesome template!) and yesterday a friend mentioned in passing using word press as a CMS which i had never heard of before, and he left before i could ask any questions. SO basically i have a site working on my computer and i have no idea how to get it live as a .com or .com.au, so far as i can see wordpress is a blog with .wordpress.com which isnt what im looking for. However this is a bit different. I am using the sessions plugin (which works fine). On one page I have a set of normal drop downs, on submit you get taken to a separate page which runs the function above, however the rows/columns all show and they don't seem to filter at all.

  • Error When Loading Images on Local Host Test Server

    I have a peculiar problem that I just can't seem to find an explanation. I'm working on an AngularJS site for our family and am integrating data from various web services. Currently I am working on the photos section which will integrate in photos from our Flickr account. I have a main page which lists the various photo sets and displays the set's primary photo along with the title. (Note: I'm using the Flickr 'extras' parameter to return the primary photo's URL in the API calls.) <div data-ng-repeat="p in vm.photoSets"> <a ng-href="#/photos/{{p.id}}"> <img ng-src="{{p.primary_photo_extras.url_s}}"></img> </a> <h4>{{p.title._content}}</h4> </div> When clicking on the photo, the routing will display a page with a list of all the photos from that set, showing the image and the title. <div data-ng-repeat="p in vm.photoSetData.photo"> <a ng-href="#/photos/{{vm.photoSetId}}/{{p.id}}" <img ng-src="{{p.url_s}}"></img> </a> <h4>{{p.title}}</h4> </div> Now, here's where the problem is occuring. When I upload the code to my public website on my hosting provider, everything works just fine. Both pages display their respective photos. However, when I attempt to run the site on my local system, either in MAMP or NodeJS (using http-server), the second page gives me an error for each image: Error: [$interpolate:interr] Can't interpolate: {{p.url_s}} Error: [$sce:insecurl] Blocked loading resource from url not allowed by $sceDelegate policy. In fact, the image title does display! I've tested it with Firefox, Safari and Chrome...all three browsers fail. I cannot find any explanation as to why it would work remotely but fail locally. Also, the images show up on the first page, but not on the second, even though one of the images on the second page is the same image URL as on the first page. Even going directly to the second page, bypassing the first page, still fails. Any ideas on how to fix this? It would be nice to test locally without having to upload to the server each time I make a change. Update: I have shut off the $sce security to see if that was causing the issue. Although it resulted in turning the error off, the files still don't load on the local test server. I have used the developer tools' network monitor and it doesn't even show an attempt to retrieve the files. AngularJS appears to shut down the retrieval, although the correct path shows up in the DOM.
