• How to exclude tags folder from triggering build in Teamcity?

  Hello, I recently installed Teamcity 5.0.3. I am trying to setup automated build for a .NET 2.0 VS2005 project. I use NAnt and MSBuild task to perform the build. The project structure is a typical SVN structure svn://localhost/ITools is my repository and the project structure is VisualTrack trunk branches tags I created a new project in Teamcity and then created a build configuration for that project. I asked it to kick off a build everytime there is a change detected in SVN VisualTrack VCS. I also configured it to create a label in VisualTrack/tags for every successful build. The problem I am running into is that the build is getting trigerred everytime teamcity is creating a new label under tags. I only want the build to be triggered if some developer commits his or her changes into trunk. Next step I took was to create a build trigger rule to exclude the tags path by specifying a trigger pattern as -:VisualTrack/tags/**, but looks like its not working. I believe the pattern I specified is not correct. Can someone please help me resolve this issue? Thanks, Jaya.

Then using VS 2010, connected to the very same file (a mdf file) I run the query above and I get a success message. WTF!

• setting java classpath for Libre Office Base in Fedora 16

  using Fedora 16 OS. i want to use Libre Office Base to connect to MySQL. when i set up the JDBC connection, it asks me for the driver, however, it cannot be loaded (because it doesn't see it in the classpath). does anybody know how to set the classpath for Libre Office? is there like a config util tool for that? e.g. my driver is [B]com.mysql.jdbc.Driver [/B]situated in[B] /usr/share/java/mysql-connector-java-5.1.17.jar[/B]. it works fine when i connect from other JDBC clients, like straight Java or Eclipse Quantum plugin. the problem is that Libre Office does not ask me for the (class)path of where it can find the driver and i do not know where and how to set it so that it becomes visible. thanks

• Is it possible to set a parameterized build or pass an environment variable via a hudson build trigger?

  I'd like to use hudson to trigger a "promotion" of a build. The build would be a simple script that just copies a release candidate installer file from one location to another. (development dir to release/stable dir) Our build server is not on the public internet, but I want to be able to send an email or a text message or an IM with the build number to hudson, which will parse the build number and then do the copy/move. In looking at the jabber/IM plugin it does not look like this is possible (the parameter part) Has anyone solved this in some way? Should I use some other mechanism? I would prefer not to have to do the manual steps each time (SCP/FTP, etc) - I just want any QA team member to be able to trigger the build server to do the promotion.

Is there any way I can stop that from happening?

• Muti-Schema Privileges for a Table Trigger in an Oracle Database

  I'm trying to write a table trigger which queries another table that is outside the schema where the trigger will reside. Is this possible? It seems like I have no problem querying tables in my schema but I get: Error: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist when trying trying to query tables outside my schema. EDIT My apologies for not providing as much information as possible the first time around. I was under the impression this question was more simple. I'm trying create a trigger on a table that changes some fields on a newly inserted row based on the existence of some data that may or may not be in a table that is in another schema. The user account that I'm using to create the trigger does have the permissions to run the queries independently. In fact, I've had my trigger print the query I'm trying to run and was able to run it on it's own successfully. I should also note that I'm building the query dynamically by using the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE statement. For example (USER_TAB_PRIVS): GRANTOR GRANTEE TABLE_SCHEMA TABLE_NAME PRIVILEGE GRANTABLE HIERARCHY MAIN_SCHEMA ME MAIN_SCHEMA EVENTS DELETE NO NO MAIN_SCHEMA ME MAIN_SCHEMA EVENTS INSERT NO NO MAIN_SCHEMA ME MAIN_SCHEMA EVENTS SELECT NO NO MAIN_SCHEMA ME MAIN_SCHEMA EVENTS UPDATE NO NO OTHER_SCHEMA_X ME OTHER_SCHEMA_X TARGET_TBL SELECT NO NO And I have the following system privileges (USER_SYS_PRIVS): USERNAME PRIVILEGE ADMIN_OPTION ME ALTER ANY TRIGGER NO ME CREATE ANY TRIGGER NO ME UNLIMITED TABLESPACE NO And this is what I found in the Oracle documentation: To create a trigger in another user's schema, or to reference a table in another schema from a trigger in your schema, you must have the CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege. With this privilege, the trigger can be created in any schema and can be associated with any user's table. In addition, the user creating the trigger must also have EXECUTE privilege on the referenced procedures, functions, or packages. Here: Oracle Doc So it looks to me like this should work, but I'm not sure about the "EXECUTE privilege" it's referring to in the doc.

  I have an incredibly simple query (table type InnoDb) and EXPLAIN says that MySQL must do an extra pass to find out how to retrieve the rows in sorted order. SELECT * FROM `comments` WHERE (commentable_id = 1976) ORDER BY created_at desc LIMIT 0, 5 exact explain output: table select_type type extra possible_keys key key length ref rows comments simple ref using where; using filesort common_lookups common_lookups 5 const 89 commentable_id is indexed. Comments has nothing trick in it, just a content field. The manual suggests that if the order by is different to the where, there is no way filesort can be avoided. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/order-by-optimization.html I also tried order by id as well as it's equivalent but makes no difference, even if I add id as an index (which I understand is not required as id is indexed implicitly in MySQL). thanks in advance for any ideas!

  This is a methodology question from a freelancer, with a corollary on MySQL.. Is there a way to migrate from an old dedicated server to a new one without losing any data in-between - and with no downtime? In the past, I've had to lose MySQL data between the time when the new server goes up (i.e., all files transferred, system up and ready), and when I take the old server down (data still transferred to old until new one takes over). There is also a short period where both are down for DNS, etc., to refresh. Is there a way for MySQL/root to easily transfer all data that was updated/inserted between a certain time frame?

  I am adding a new GUID/Uniqueidentifier column to my table. ALTER TABLE table_name ADD VersionNumber UNIQUEIDENTIFIER UNIQUE NOT NULL DEFAULT NEWSEQUENTIALID() GO And when ever a record is updated in the table, I would want to update this column "VersionNumber". So I create a new trigger CREATE TRIGGER [DBO].[TR_TABLE_NAMWE] ON [DBO].[TABLE_NAME] AFTER UPDATE AS BEGIN UPDATE TABLE_NAME SET VERSIONNUMBER=NEWSEQUENTIALID() FROM TABLE_NAME D JOIN INSERTED I ON D.ID=I.ID/* some ID which is used to join*/ END GO But just realized that NEWSEQUENTIALID() can only be used with CREATE TABLE or ALTER TABLE. I got this error The newsequentialid() built-in function can only be used in a DEFAULT expression for a column of type 'uniqueidentifier' in a CREATE TABLE or ALTER TABLE statement. It cannot be combined with other operators to form a complex scalar expression. Is there a workaround for this ? Edit1: Changing NEWSEQUENTIALID() to NEWID() in the trigger solves this, but I am indexing this column and using NEWID() would be sub-optimal

  I have a Table called Address. I have a Trigger for insert on that table that does some spacial calculations on the address that determines what neighborhood boundaries it is in. address = new Address { Street = this.Street, City = this.City, State = this.State, ZipCode = this.ZipCode, latitude = this.Latitude, longitude = this.Longitude, YearBuilt = this.YearBuilt, LotSize = this.LotSize, FinishedSize = this.FinishedSize, Bedrooms = this.Bedrooms, Bathrooms = this.Bathrooms, UseCode = this.UseCode, HOA = this.HOA, UpdateDate = DateTime.Now }; db.AddToAddresses(address); db.SaveChanges(); In the database i can clearly see that the Trigger ran and updated the neighborhoodID in the address table for the row. I tried to just reload that record to get the assigned id like this: address = (from a in db.Addresses where a.AddressID == address.AddressID select a).First(); In the debugger i can clearly see that the address.AddressID is correct, entity doesn't update in memory. Is there any work around for this?
