    I have a problem, a bit related to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/855826/c-winforms-transparent-control-allowing-clickthrough Contrary to him i would like to capture mouseevents on my program, while still retaining a "window" to whats behind my program. color.transparent doesnt work, and transparencykey just delivers mouse events to whatever is underneath. Using a panel with transparent backcolor or with a backcolor equal to transparencykey does not give the desired effect. Plz help me :)

  • WPF - Only want one expander open at a time in grouped Listbox

    I have a UserControl with a templated grouped listbox with expanders and only want one expander open at any time. I have browsed through the site but haven't found anything except binding the IsExpanded to IsSelected which isn't quite what I want. I am trying to put some code in the Expanded event that would loop through Expanders and close all the ones that aren't the expander passed in the Expanded event. I can't seem to figure out how to get at them. I've tried ListBox.Items.Groups but didn't see how to get at them and tried ListBox.ItemContainerGenerator.ContainerFromItem (or Index) but nothing came back.     When I change a value programatically in a DataTable that my DataGridView is bound to, the appropriate CellValueChanged event is not firing for the DataGridView. I'm trying to change a cell's background color based on cell value when the DataTable is filled with data without iterating through every row and checking each value.

    Hey all, i am in need of some help with figuring out how to override the "* {margin: 0;padding: 0;}" in my css.     Hi all, Using progress_horizontal.xml as a base drawable for my seekbar i was able to customize it pretty well. But unfortunately i stuck with the following problem. I need my progress to be made from two horizontal lines with different color something like this http://picasaweb.google.com/manigoad/Other#5442553107070487330 . In this case a blue line and transparent line below it. So how can i make my progress to be made from two different colors. Tnaks

I am new to Linux and love to use it. Is there any methodologies or softwares which can be very user friendly for application installation with GUI support ? or only the terminal should be used ?

    i am trying to get date from my implementation of jquery date picker, add it to a string and display the resulting image in my div. Something however is just not working. Can anyone check out the code and have a look at it?     I'm using the W3C CSS Validator with the Profile CSS3 but the validator says that my CSS rgba()'s are wrong. I looked up the Color Module Level 3, and the syntax is the same as mine. I also tried the Dev-Validator, same result. Example input: div.class { border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } Am I wrong or why does the validator say that I have that many mistakes with rgba?

  • JLabel animation in JPanel

    After scratching around I found that it's best to implement a custom image component by extending a JLabel. So far that has worked great as I can add multiple "images" (jlabels without the layout breaking. I just have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. I noticed that in order to animate JLabels across the screen I need to setlayout(null); and setbounds of the component and then to animate eventually setlocation(x,y);. Is this a best practice or a terrible way to animate a component? I plan on eventually making an animation class but I don't want to do so and end up having to chuck it.     In a hosted environment, I will be utilizing subdomains (and virtual directories) for various coding projects. I have a rewrite rule that changes 'subdomain.domain.com/url' to 'domain.com/subdomain/url'. This worked fine, except that the browser couldn't find resources with paths generated by ResolveURL("~/something"). The server was using the Application Path of "/subdomain/" so based on the rewrite rule, the browser's request for "/subdomain/something" was being looked for in "/subdomain/subdomain/something" were it wasn't to be found. either of these urls were valid: http://www.domain.com/subdomain/something http://subdomain.domain.com/something I resolved this by adding a another url rewrite rule to the subdomain: <rule name="RemoveSuperDir"> <match url="subdomain/(.*)" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="{R:1}" /> </rule> So for each subdomain that I might add, I will need to add such a rule. Is there a way to write a single rule at the domain level to resolve this issue?

Previously, I used AutoPostback and SelectedIndexChanged of the DDL to filter the grid, but to my disappointment it was not always fired. I don't know if this is ok on this late stage.. don't have a lot of asp.net experience after all. If anyone can suggest a better solution, please give me a hint. This all works great so far, except when i have two or more filters and set them to a combination that returns zero records. Bam ... gridview gone, completely - without a possiblity of changing the filters back. So i googled and found out that i have to subclass gridview in order to always show the headerrow. I found this solution and implemented it with some modifications. The headerrow get's displayed and i can change the filters even if the returned result contains no rows. But finally to my current problem: When i have two or more filters set which return zero rows, and i change back one filter to something that should return rows, the gridview remains empty (although the pager is rendered). I have to completly refresh the page to reset the filters. When debugging, i can see in the overridden CreateChildControls of the grid, that the base method indeed returns 0, but anyway... the gridView.RowCount remains 0 after databinding. Anyone have an idea what's going wrong here?

    I am using Tablerow+TextView to make a simple view for blog posts and their replies. In each TableRow I put a TextView in. Now I have two issues: The text which is longer than the screen won't automatically wrap up to be multi-line. Is it by design of TableRow? I've already set tr_content.setSingleLine(false); [update] This has been addressed, I think I should change Fill_parent to be Wrap_content in textView.tr_author_time.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams( LayoutParams.**WRAP_CONTENT**, LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT)); The Table won't scroll like ListView. My rows are more than the screen size. I expect the table could be scrolled down for viewing just like ListView. Is that possible?   • FTP ASCII file from Windows to Mainframe (iSeries) — special characters

    I have a text file created on a Windows machine, the page coding used on the file is 1252 This file is then ftp'd to an iSeries machine for processing As far as I can see, it appears on the iSeries. It has a CCSID of 037. Sometimes this file contains French characters (e.g. é). When this happens, the FTP will fail with a truncation error as the french character gets converted to some extra junk: �. The file is fixed block so the line does get truncated due to the one character turning into 3. I can convert the French characters to characters without the accents before sending but would prefer to keep everything intact. So is there a way to retain them and send the file over properly? I'm very green on iSeries, mainly a Windows guy.
