  Using ObjectARX (C++) for AutoCAD 2010, can AutoCAD entities be serialized? We need to save the serialized entity in a field in a database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc., not AcDbDatabase). • How do I change all shared libraries used in my programe to static libraries in windows?

  The shared library is causing much trouble for me, and disk space is far less expensive than the trouble itself. How can I convert all shared libs(.dll) to static libs(.lib) and make my programe use them instead of using shared libs? Note some .dlls are not directly refered to by my programe,e.g. my programe requires libpng,and libpng requires zlib.dll. Is there a solution that wraps up all these cases?

  I have a scheduled task that is very IO intensive (deleting hundreds of thousands of files). For disk space reasons, this job has to be performed reasonably quickly. On win2k8, scheduled tasks always have a low IO priority. Raising the priority of the process did not change the IO priority. Is there any way to get a scheduled task to have a normal IO priority?

  Suppose I have a STL map where the values are pointers, and I want to delete them all. How would I represent the following code, but making use of std::for_each? I'm happy for solutions to use Boost. for( stdext::hash_map<int, Foo *>::iterator ir = myMap.begin(); ir != myMap.end(); ++ir ) { delete ir->second; // delete all the (Foo *) values. } (I've found Boost's checked_delete, but I'm not sure how to apply that to the pair<int, Foo *> that the iterator represents). (Also, for the purposes of this question, ignore the fact that storing raw pointers that need deleting in an STL container isn't very sensible).

• gitk without X11 [closed]

  It has been noted here that Tcl/Tk, and in turn gitk now require X11 under Cygwin. Having run it before and after this change it seems like extreme overkill. I use gitk very lightly, mostly sticking to simply command line git. How could I go about using gitk without X11, perhaps manually installing old version of Tcl/Tk? • preg_match_all confusing failing

When parsing a Google Contact file I exported it weirdly fails. But when I simply copy the string that is echo'd and paste that instead of the file_get_contents result, it parses and works. Any idea why it is refusing to take the file_get_contents string, but if I paste in the raw data myself, it works?

  Hi I am new to programming and have tried to make a facebook app with open graph beta tutorial. I have done exactly as described in the tutorial but when i try to use the debug tool it gives me an error: Extraneous Property: Objects of this type do not allow properties named og:app_id. I have noticed and searched that its doing this because the tag needs to be <fb:app_id>. I checked my file it says fb:app_id only, but the raw data that pulls up on the debug tool shows meta property="og:app_id" content="267029796703617" even though i have changed and uploaded with fb:app_id. I have checked my page several times and tried some possible solutions but have had no success. Can someone help me fix this.

• Possible to exclude or reorder a column from `*` ?

  Is it possible to exclude a column from a select * from table statement with SQL Server? I have a need for this and this is my only option other than parsing a raw SQL string to get out the required field names (I really don't want to do that). Just to be bold. When the query is made I do not have access to the list of fields needed from the table but I do know which field I do not need. This is part of a complex multi-part query. Surely there must be some way even if it's "hackish" such as using table variables or views My other option is to reorder the columns. My problem is with ExecuteScalar SQL functions which get the first row and first column.

  I have several array to deal with. I need to extract the most duplicate value from each array. From [3, 7, 7, 7], I need to find the value 7. Each array size is 4. For now, I don't have to think about when the most duplicate values are more than one such as [3, 7, 7, 7]. All the values are a number. I looked around the web. I found several ways to make an array to become uniq(). But I haven't found a way to get the duplicate value. I am using jQuery, but raw JavaScript is fine for this task.

I would like to access the properties of that div using javascript, which is impossible since that new text is not added to the DOM. We are interested in using the new Secondary Index feature available in the 0.7 but couldn't find any documentation on how the new index is stored.   I think the main difference between websocket and http streaming (I am not refering to polling and long polling) is websocket allows bi-directional communication which is similar to usual raw socket programming. (above is my understanding, could be wrong, feel free to correct me.) My question is how the web client (browser) continue to send another request in the already-opened websocket? Usual http request will treat another request as new socket connection, but websocket does not, that is why I am confused, how it achieve that? It should be handled in Server side or Client (browser) side?

Basically I am making a editor for certain elements in a web.config and I extract them as XElements and my View binds to a Collection of DataItems which has a property that contains my XElement. When I do Text="{Binding Path=Data, Mode=OneWay, NotifyOnSourceUpdated=True}"/> I get all the text of the Element, but If I try Text="{Binding Path=Data.Elements[], Mode=OneWay, NotifyOnSourceUpdated=True}"/> It doesn't work the TextBox is empty. I am trying to find a way to Template different sections dynamically to make them easier to edit instead of editing raw XMl.

  I have a string that is read from a usb apogee camera that is a 12-bit grayscale image with the 12-bits each occupying the lowest 12 bits of 16-bits words. I want to create a 8-bit png from this string by ignoring the lowest 4 bits. I can convert it to a 16-bit image where the highest 4 bits are always zero using PIL with import Image imageStr is the image string imageSize is the image size img=Image.fromstring("I", imageSize, imageStr, "raw", "I;16", 0,1) img.save("MyImage.png", "PNG") Anyway I can do something similar to create a 8-bit image without completely unpacking the string doing arithmetic and making a new string?

• list all functions on CRAN

  Suppose I'm trying to run a script of unknown origin, and one of the functions is from a package that is not loaded by the script (an oversight, maybe it was loaded in the .Rprofile of the person who wrote it). How can I find in which package this function resides? There's some information compiled on CRAN, that doesn't require the user to download/install all R packages locally; however as far as I could tell it only gives access to the DESCRIPTION files. RSiteSearch, and its web equivalent, seem to access an online database of all CRAN packages, where presumably a list of all functions would be available. Is there some way of accessing this information? Thanks. Edit: I know sos::findFn, utils::RSiteSearch and search.r-project; what I would like is to get the raw data that these tools use.

• Android Loading & Playing Sound Based on String

  I'm currently working on a simple Android app, and right now I am trying to get it to load in and play sounds. The problem I am faced with is that I want the sound it uses to be based on a string (With the same name as the sound file). The reason for this is simplicity in both the code and adding on to it. Now unfortunately I can't just slap a string in place of referencing the actual sound, but is there some way for me to compare a string to the entire raw folder to find the matching sound, or some other alternative short of defining every sound manually?
