What I want to do is to have a property in the usercontol to control the orientation So I basicaly have UserControl -- Listbox -- MyPanel And I want a property for the usercontrol that can be set in xaml (of type System.Windows.Controls.Orientation ) that I can bind to from my custom panel (or a different approach if binding isnt the right way to do it) It would be a bonus if that property could show up in the properties window and you could select vertical or horizontal.   I am learning OpenGL API bit by bit and also develop my own C++ framework library for effectively using them. Recently came across Blender software which is used for graphics creation and is in turn written in OpenGL itself. For my part time hobby of graphics learning, I want to just create small-small movie or video segments; e.g. related to construction engineering, epic stories and so on. There may be very minimal to nil mouse-keyboard interaction for those videos, unlike video games which are highly interactive. I was wondering if learning OpenGL from scratch is worth for it or should I invest my time in learning Blender software? There are quite a few good movie examples are created using Blender and are shown in its website. Other such opensource cross platform alternatives are also welcome, which can serve my aforementioned purpose.

  I have removed an app that contained a couple of custom fields from my project. Now when I try to run my migrations I get ImportError, naturally. These fields were very basic customizations like below: from django.db.models.fields import IntegerField class SomeField(IntegerField): def get_internal_type(self): return "SomeField" def db_type(self, connectio=None): return 'integer' def clean(self, value): # some custom cleanup pass So, none of them contain any database level customizations. When I removed this code, I've created migrations so the subsequent migration all ran fine. But when I try to run them on a pre-deletion database I realized my mistake. I can re-create a bare-bones app and make these imports work, but Ideally I would like to know if South has a mechanism to resolve these issues? Or is there any best practises? It would be cool if I could solve these issues just by modifying my migrations and not touching the codebase. (Django 1.3, South 0.7.3)

  When you enable "export" from Displaytag, the tag code gives you links with special magic parameters that the tag recognizes as indicators that the table contents should be exported (as CSV, Excel, whatever). Well I'm interested in detecting the media type so that (for example) I can exclude columns that make no sense in an export (embedded action buttons, for one thing, or checkboxes for row selection). I suppose I could write a table decorator and use that to stick the media type on the request, but it'd be nice to avoid that if the tag already does it. The documentation is not clear on the subject; I guess I can start digging through the source code too.

  I posted a question a few months ago about sharing resource dictionaries across assemblies. It turns out you can do that using the Component Resource Key markup extension. At the time, I could only get it working with a WPF Custom Control project, not with a plain Class Library project. Now I need to use an existing plain Class Library project to host a shared resource dictionary. That means I need to retrofit the Class Library project to support the Component Resource Key markup extension. I have added a Themes folder and a Generic.xaml resource dictionary document to the Class Library project, as well as references to PresentationCore, PresentationFramework, and WindowsBase. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to do the trick. So, here is my question: Other than the above, what does a WPF Custom Control Library project have that a plain Class Library project doesn't? Or, to put it another way, what else could I add to my class library project to get this feature working? Thanks.

I have an HTML page that loads two different SWF files. is there a way to dispatch a custom event from one flex application to another ? to create a custom event I extend the Event class and I add another variable to the constructor called params which is an Object. I use EventDispatcher to dispatch the events. I have no idea how to do that between one flex application to the other. is it even possible ? If it's not, is there any other way that these two flex applications can communicate without opening a LocalConnection ? Using flex 4.5 thanks!

  I have a WebBrowser control. I have added some JavaScript into the head tag and I can see it is working as expected by adding an alert. Inside of this js I am creating a function and adding some members to it's prototype like so: function test() { } test.prototype.run = function() { alert('success!') } function createTest() { return new test() } Then back inside of C# I am doing: dynamic test = this.browser.InvokeScript("createTest"); test.run(); I can see that the test object is some ComObject but when I call run() nothing happens. I get no error but nothing happens. Does anyone know how to call this type of custom object? Also suppose I wanted to get rid of the createTest() method, how can I create a new instance of test from C#? Also, for bonus points, is there anything special I need to know about attaching events to this custom object (on say a 'complete' member) such that it will callback into my C# code?

When I log into that account, most of the panel indicators I've added in my own administrator user account show up here as well -- but not all of them (e.g., the cpufreq indicator shows up in both accounts, but the multiload indicator does not show up in the second account).   I have a listview with custom rows and that extends SimpleAdapter. Each row consist of two linear layouts : 1st having two textviews of which one is hidden in horizontal orientation, second having two textviews in horizontal orientation. Now depending on the value in hidden textview , I want to setcolor for the remaining items for the row. To put it as simple: each listview item has some custom colors the value of which comes from the hidden field. I have done this by overriding getview() for the simpleadapter and returning view for each, but this makes list very slow to render (and that I think is obvious as so much of work for each view before showing it). Can I do this in some more efficient way ? like making views and then add up to list instead of using xml layout maybe one solution OR any other ? Any help ? Thanks.

For every subtype in a type there is a corresponding subtype in the next type: (1,1) => (2,2) (1,5) => (2,3) (1,6) => (2,2) (1,8) => (2,3) (2,2) => (3,1) (2,3) => (3,2) In case you haven't seen the pattern, here it is: you sort both current and next types by subtype, then in the next type you get subtype in the same position as your current subtype in current type is. If there are more subtypes in the current type that in the next one, you warp around and start from the first subtype in the next type. Is it possible to construct a query that takes current type and subtype and returns corresponding subtype in the next type?
