    Just wondering if there is good alternative to Amazon's S3 service? I like S3 but the bandwidth cost is high. I looked at CouldFiles from Rackspace but the cost is even higher.   • Face morph and recognition

    I have two requirements: members of a social network choose other member's faces and morph an average face of them. The website finds other members' faces that resemble the morphed face and list up in order of resemblance. Is there a script that can do this? I see that http://www.faceresearch.org/demos/average does the item 1 but they don't license their technology. Please help. Thank you in advance.

  • How can I make a WPF TreeView data binding lazy and asynchronous?

    I am learning how to use data binding in WPF for a TreeView. I am procedurally creating the Binding object, setting Source, Path, and Converter properties to point to my own classes. I can even go as far as setting IsAsync and I can see the GUI update asynchronously when I explore the tree. So far so good! My problem is that WPF eagerly evaluates parts of the tree prior to them being expanded in the GUI. If left long enough this would result in the entire tree being evaluated (well actually in this example my tree is infinite, but you get the idea). I would like the tree only be evaluated on demand as the user expands the nodes. Is this possible using the existing asynchronous data binding stuff in the WPF? As an aside I have not figured out how ObjectDataProvider relates to this task. I tried things like this to get the music preferences : facebook_session.user.music but I get a blank string instead of the relevant connections. Is it mandatory to use the new Graph API in order to make this work?

I'm using VB.NET for a web-application that starts some process using CreateObject, like this: Dim AVObject = CreateObject("avwin.application") After all is done everything get closed down en stopped using the proper release functions, however, for some reason the process remains. Is there some way in which I can get the process id of the started process, in order to explicitly kill it just before termination? Thanks

  • Panels-style UI for arbitrary CCK fields?

    I have a Drupal content type that has unlimited photo, textbox, and external link CCK fields, but while fields themselves can be reordered via drag-drop (i.e. photo B before photo A), I can't arbitrarily order amongst fields (i.e. photo B, link A, photo A, text A, link B). Panels is awesome, with its drag and drop, and just what I'm looking for interface-wise. Has anyone seen a Panels-style UI for ordering arbitrary collections of disparate CCK fields?

I tried installing Flex_Skins_12_05.mxp that suppose to enable these features in flash cs4 but under the commands tab i can't see any commands related to flex conversion. can someone please forward me to the appropriate plugin to install in flash cs4 in order to convert it's symbols to be usable with flex ? thanks

    Suppose my input is (a,b and c to distinguish between equal keys) 1 6a 8 3 6b 0 6c 4 My counting sort will save as (discarding the a,b and c info!!) 0(1) 1(1) 3(1) 4(1) 6(3) 8(1) which will give me the result 0 1 3 4 6 6 6 8 So, how is this stable sort? I am not sure how it is "maintaining the relative order of records with equal keys." Please explain.
