  • Why do custom styled Google Maps (v3) not support marker animation (pin drop)?

    For example, I cannot combine the concepts of this simple example: link text with the concepts of this example: link text, which uses the styled V3 api. In Chrome I get an error saying that: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'DROP' of undefined And it refers to this line of code: animation: google.maps.Animation.DROP, When I replace the javascript link reference to use the version of the API from the first example, the error goes away, but I lose the custom styling. I can't get it to view to display my data correctly, the toplevel items are shown but the childnodes are nowhere to be seen.     I'm sure you know the problem, as soon as a BindingSource is connected to a DataGridView the DataGridView generates columns for each Property found in the Type of the BindingSource's DataSource and adds that crap to the Form.Designer.cs file. We only use run time generated columns, the clutter in the designer file is just waste of code, so how can we stop this "feature" of the DataGridView in WinForms?

Is there a way that when I search for getFoo() in the Eclipse Java Search, for Eclipse to also return uses of the foo property in the JSP files? I suspect the answer is "no", because there isn't a way at compile time to tell the types of the JSP beans, but its worth asking, right?

    Hi I'm creating a systabcontrol32 control with the TCS_SINGLELINE style when I resize my window so the tab won't fit an up-down control appears that should allow me to scroll so I can see all the tabs. The thing is that the up-down buttons don't seem to work unless I add a the WS_HSCROLL property to the tab control witch makes it ugly as hell. It could be cool if the up-down could scroll the tabs without need to add the scrollbar (even more since the scroll bar doesn't seem to work, it just sits there and I can't click it).

  • Core Data object into an NSDictionary with possible nil objects

    I have a core data object that has a bunch of optional values. I'm pushing a table view controller and passing it a reference to the object so I can display its contents in a table view. Because I want the table view displayed a specific way, I am storing the values from the core data object into an array of dictionaries then using the array to populate the table view. This works great, and I got editing and saving working properly. (i'm not using a fetched results controller because I don't have anything to sort on) The issue with my current code is that if one of the items in the object is missing, then I end up trying to put nil into the dictionary, which won't work. I'm looking for a clean way to handle this, I could do the following, but I can't help but feeling like there's a better way. *passedEntry is the core data object handed to the view controller when it is pushed, lets say it contains firstName, lastName, and age, all optional. if ([passedEntry firstName] != nil) { [dictionary setObject:[passedEntry firstName] forKey:@"firstName"] } else { [dictionary setObject:@"" forKey:@"firstName"] } And so on. This works, but it feels kludgy, especially if I end up adding more items to the core data object down the road.
