  Hello, I sometimes do this in my shell : sam@sam-laptop:~/shell$ ps aux | grep firefox | awk '{print $2}' 2681 2685 2689 4645 $ kill -9 2681 2685 2689 4645 Is there a way I can transform the multiple lines containing the PIDs into one line separated by spaces ? (It's a little bit annoying to type the PIDs every time and I really would like to learn :) ) Thanks a lot.

• Configure Console2 to open bash in current folder

  I've seen this but it doesn't work for me. I'm not using Git's version of bash but the one that comes with cygwin, so that could be part of the problem. Here is how I have my tab in Console2 set up: Title: bash.exe Shell: C:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe --login -i Startup dir: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% This is my registry entry: Directory shell Console2 Open Console2 Here command "C:\Console2\Console.exe" -d "%1" bash always starts in my home directory instead of the directory I'm clicking on, then I have to cd /cygdrive/d/code ... etc. I tried removing the value in the "Startup dir" field, changing it to %1, %1% with no luck.   I have configured the ppolicy overlay for OpenLDAP to enable password policies. These things work: Password lockouts on too many failed attempts Password Change required once pwdReset=TRUE added to user entry Password Expirations If the account is locked out due to intrusion attempts (too many bad passwords) or time (expiration time hit), the account must be reset by an administrator. However, when the administrator sets pwdReset=TRUE in the profile, this seems to also override the expiration policy. So, the password that the administrator sent out (which should be a temporary password) ends up being valid permanently. Is there a way in OpenLDAP to have a password that must be changed, but also MUST expire?

• How do I delete or modify Default User's default printer?

  I have some computers that I set up a couple years ago by creating a user account, setting it up the way I wanted, and copying that user's directory over Default User's directory. Pretty simple stuff. One of the things that I did was to add a printer and set it as the default. Straightforward, or so I thought. Things have changed, and that printer has been removed and replaced with a different printer. I deleted the old printer's object and added the new one. Now every time a new user logs in, their profile gets copied from Default User, and they get the old printer as their default. This re-adds the old printer object to the system. Now every user can see the old printer's object again. I want to permanently delete Default User's default printer. How?

  Hi It's my configuration: Atlassian Crowd Version: 2.0.2 (Build:#409 - 06-10-2009) Atlassian Confluence 3.0.2 I can't change users' emails in Confluence because I use Crowd as external user management. So I have to change users' emails in Crowd but changes doesn't apply in Confluence. Even users has access to crowd user console and can login to Crowd and view their profile and edit their email password but changed emails doesn't apply in Confluence. What should I do? Is it a bug? Also I should mention that emails contains dot character(.). I posted my question to Atlassian forum 3 days ago but there's no answer yet!

• maven scm plugin deleting output folder in every execution

  Hi all, I need to download from 2 different svn locations to the same output directory. So i configured 2 different executions. But every time it executes a checkout deletes the output directory so it also deletes the already downloaded projects.   are there any alternatives to Xpath ? need to locate and extract specific element's texts for web scraping project. xpath seem pretty limited against layout changes on web pages. slight shuffle, and xpath no longer works. also different browsers have different Xpaths as i discovered. Firefox automatically adds tbody after table, while IE doesn't and so on.

  We have a windows 2003 domain. All users have roaming profiles. We have a couple of users who, when they log into outlook, are asked for their password every time, despite selecting the 'remember my password' option. Our email is externally hosted exchange email. I've tried several fixes found on google such as deleting 'protect' folder in the user's profile, and deleting protect key in the registry but none work. I tried storing the password in windows' password/credentials manager, didn't work. It happens on any PC the users log into so it's not a machine specific problem. Any ideas? OS is Windows XP pro. Outlook is 2007.

• Non-Registry Fix for Secondary Mailboxes Sent Items

  There is a known issue with Outlook and Exchange where "secondary" mailboxes which are mounted in the same profile, e.g. "John Doe" + CorpMailbox1, CorpMailbox2, CorpMailbox3 will place "sent items" from the secondary mailboxes (e.g. CorpMailbox1) in the user's (e.g. "John Doe") Sent Items folder. There is a registry value (something like DelegateSentItems) to semi-fix this, but I'm looking for an Exchange-side solution. It seems like, at some point, an admin made CC rules to fix this, and for the mailboxes where I see a BCC rule: any item sent to [address] BCC to [address]. The behavior "fixes" the issue, but when I duplicate this work-around for new shared mailboxes, the email ends up in the Inbox and not the Sent Items for the shared mailbox. I don't believe there is any outlook/client-side shenanigans going on, as the intended behavior for the older mailboxes works for new PCs/Users (new imagse) without any Outlook Mailbox Rules.

  This topic has been touched on before but not really answered. I have a dual monitor system and the colors differ wildly. I currently live Buenos Aires where color correction hardware costs premium prices. I do some graphic design, but don't require a pro-level calibration. That said, I'd like my monitors to be set as close to "true color" as possible. I've located the useful and free Monitor Calibration Wizard, but it seems to adjust the entire system internally at startup. I could use the Microsoft Color Control Panel Applet to set a different ICC or ICM profile for each monitor, but the Monitor Calibration Wizard outputs its own format for profiles.

The instance is in a securitygroup which allows all connections and i'm runing jstatd with a grant codebase "file:${java.home}/../lib/tools.jar" { permission java.security.AllPermission; }; policy on it. When i try to connect from my local machine with visulVM nothing happens. When i use jps i get the following response $ jps -l -m -v rmi://ec2-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.compute-1.amazonaws.com Error communicating with remote host: Connection refused to host: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out But i can ssh into the instance and use jps locally.
