  • Blackberry device GPS hardware specs [closed]

    - by colemanm
I'm looking to find out detailed specifications for the built-in GPS hardware in the Blackberry Bold and Curve devices (9000 and 8350). RIM's documentation includes just a rudimentary description of the specs, but I'm looking for things like the actual detailed hardware/chipset info so we can research the accuracy needs for some upcoming projects we have. Knowing simply "A-GPS support" isn't really good enough... Does anyone know of any resources for finding advanced specs for built-in Blackberry hardware?

  • How do I get squid peers to talk SSL to each other?

    - by Marcelo Cantos
How would I set up a pair of squid proxies so that one uses the other as a parent and all traffic between them is encrypted using SSL? I've read the cache_peer documentation, but it's all very fuzzy to me which certs I need to create (and how), which server uses which cert, and so on. Is there a straightforward HOW-TO for this somewhere? Just to be clear, I don't want to know how to setup squid to proxy https requests, or as a reverse proxy for a web server that uses https.

  • nginx url rewriting: difference between break and last

    - by Peter
I don't understand the difference between break and last (flags of rewrite). The documentation is rather abstruse. I've tried to switch between the two in some of my configs, but I couldn't spot any difference in behavior. Can someone please explain these flags in more detail? Preferably with an example that shows different behavior when flipping one flag to another.

  • HP Proliant Servers - WMI query for system health

    - by Mike McClelland
Hi, I want to query lots of HP servers to determine their overall health. I don't want to use any packages, or even SNMP - I want to query the server health from WMI and understand if a box is Green/Amber/Red - just like the HP Management Home Page. This MUST be possible - but I can't find any documentation... Oh yes, and the servers are running Windows Server 2003/8. Help!! Mike

  • Cisco ASA 5505 VPN setup

    - by Guillaume
Hello, I'm trying to setup a site to site VPN, with a Cisco ASA 5505 at one end. The documentation tells me to use the Ipsec VPN wizard but under the wizards drop down menu there's nothing VPN related there. I have a 'base' license, is that the issue? or am I being stupid? The versions I have are: Cisco Asa 5505 with ASA 8.2(1) and ASDM 6.2(1), the firewall was already setup when I got it (I'm leasing a dedicated server). Thanks for your help

  • How do you keep track of what's connected to your switches?

    - by Kamil Kisiel
Currently we manually document the connections to the ports of our switches. Of course, maintenance is a chore, and the documentation is out of date as soon as you save it. Are there any tools for querying switches, preferably via SNMP, that can tell you what is connected on the other end? For the record, we use primarily HP ProCurve switches.

  • Sync my files across multiple computers

    - by EnderMB
I do a lot of work on my home computer, ranging from programming, writing stored procedures and writing documentation and reporting. A lot of this work is university related and constantly swapping files across several computers is annoying at best. I have a large final-year project coming up and I'm going to be sharing this work amongst home and university and require some kind of online storage that provides version control for my programs, as well as my Word documents, PDF's and saved academic papers. Are there any good solutions for my problem?

  • Apache2 graceful restart stops proxying requests to passenger

    - by Rob
Issue with apache mod proxy, it stops proxying requests after a graceful restart but not all the time. It seems to happen only on a Sunday when a graceful restart is triggered by logrotate. It's worth noting that the destination is just another vhost on the same apache instance, but the vhost (http://api.myservice.org) is serving passenger (mod_rails) I was thinking that maybe there's some startup issues with the passenger workers not being ready during a graceful restart? After a full restart resolves it and everything returns to normal. //Edit Here's the vhost config, thanks :) <VirtualHost *:80> UseCanonicalName Off LogFormat "%V %h %l %u %t \"%r\" %s %b" vcommon <Directory /var/www/vhosts> RewriteEngine on AllowOverride All </Directory> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond /var/www/vhosts/%{SERVER_NAME} !-d RewriteCond /var/www/vhosts/%{SERVER_NAME} !-l RewriteRule ^ http://sitenotfound.myservice.org/ [R=302,L] VirtualDocumentRoot /var/www/vhosts/%0/current # Rewrite requests to /assets to map to the /var/file-store/<SERVER_NAME>/ RewriteMap lowercase int:tolower RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/assets/ RewriteRule ^/assets/(.*)$ /var/file-store/${lowercase:%{SERVER_NAME}}/$1 # Map /login to /editor.html as it's far friendlier.
