  • ScriptResource.axd Access is denied. Cross-Domain iFrame

    - by EtienneT
We have a web page containing an iframe containing a page sharing an authentification cookie with it's parent page. For example the iframe page is on the domain foo.domain.com and the page containing the iframe is on foo2.domain.com. Both share a cookie from domain.com. Authentification works great, but the problem is with ASP.NET in IE7, we always get a javascript error: Access is denied. ScriptResource.axd We are using ASP.NET 3.5, we use Ajax Control Toolkit also (latest version 3.0.30930.0). The problem doesn't occur for IE8. No problem in Firefox and Chrome also. Anyone encountered this problem before?

  • Open an Excel htm URL via iFrame in a separate browser

    - by Mark Robinson
I have some URLs in an Excel file which I have saved as a .htm (webpage) file. I then view these in a browser via our wiki (MediaWiki). This is done using an iFrame embedded in the wiki page. So, just for clarity, the link is in a htm file viewed via an iFrame in a wiki page. When I click on that link, it opens inside the iFrame. What I want is for it to open in a new browser window. (This should be the user's default browser since some use Internet Explorer and some Firefox.) The final twist is that some users have Windows XP and some Solaris. Help greatly appreciated.

  • Jquery (or CSS) autoresize iframe to the bottom?

    - by mathiregister
    Hi guys, i've no idea how i can set properties for an iframe that's positioned 300px from the top, but should reach ALWAYS the bottom! So at the moment i've set the height of the iframe to 500px. The height should dynamically change when i resize the browserwindow. The iframe should start 300px from the top and should always reach the bottom. I'm not much of an css expert. Any idea what i have to do? #frame { overflow:hidden; border:none; width:100%; height:500px; margin-top:300px; }

  • Replacing IFrame with div

    - by Roland
I have a IFrame where I load in a custom search, and display the results within the iframe. The search results I obtain by calling an external url, that returns a value. I need to implement the same thing for a mobi site that works on mobile devices, and thus I need to replace the IFrame with something else. Will this be possible using a div tag, since most mobile devices do not support frames. And no javascript may be used. Any advice will be appreciated.

  • Not able to override CSS within IFrame

    - by Madhur Ahuja
I am using disqus comments for my jekyll blog with some CSS styles overriden in my stylesheet and used to work perfectly. Recently, disqus has introduced a new UI for their comments system which has completely broken the font colors. Since my site has dark background, I am trying to apply styles based on new disqus HTML structure generated. However, it seems that none of my styles get applied. It seems that is because disqus is loaded within iframe. Any ideas how can I fix the font colors. Example of the post: http://www.madhur.co.in/blog/2012/03/27/codeplexmovegit.html UPDATE Based on this question How to apply CSS to iFrame? it seems that you cannot style a child IFrame cross domain. I am wondering how it used to work earlier. Disqus even has documentation on it http://docs.disqus.com/help/69/

  • iframe/lightbox refresh issues

    - by user96828
Hi Please check out: http://gherkin.co.nz/refresh/ and click on the purple box that says 'Membership chest' You should then see some form fields in an iframe in the lightbox. If you click on the "GO" button, the page will change (currently Not found, which is fine for now). If you click the dark area to close the box, then click the purple card again - it will take you back to the not found page. When called, I want the content to always go back to the page specified in the iframe src, not the last page. Can it go back to the first specified page on this second click? Does that make sense? basically I want the iframe/lightbox to refresh its content each time it is called.

  • "Access is denied" error on accessing iframe document object

    - by Ovesh
For posting AJAX forms in a form with many parameters, I am using a solution of creating an iframe, posting the form to it by POST, and then accessing the iframe's content. specifically, I am accessing the content like this: $("some_iframe_id").get(0).contentWindow.document I tested it and it worked. On some of the pages, I started getting an "Access is denied" error. As far as I know, this shouldn't happen if the iframe is served from the same domain. I'm pretty sure it was working before. Anybody have a clue? If I'm not being clear enough: I'm posting to the same domain. So this is not a cross-domain request. I am testing on IE only. P.S. I can't use simple ajax POST queries (don't ask...)

  • iframe for ad loading good or bad?

    - by Cedar Jensen
According to Yahoo's "Best Practices for Speeding Up your Site", the pros for using iframes: Helps with slow third-party content like badges and ads Download scripts in parallel but the cons are: Costly even if blank Blocks page onload I want to use an iframe to load ads using the technique mentioned on this site: http://meanderingpassage.com/2007/08/15/keeping-javascript-widgets-from-controlling-your-blog/ Does using this technique mean that as soon as the html contents requested by the iframe are returned to the client, it will load the ad script, potentially blocking the rest of the page's rendering and downloading? Or will the iframe request get processed concurrently while rest of the document is downloaded and rendered?

  • Back button causes iFrame to delay window.onLoad event

    - by JoJo
I serve ads through an iFrame. The ad network's servers are much slower than mine, so I asyncronously load the iFrame after the window.onLoad event. Event.observe( window, 'load', function() { $('ad').writeAttribute('ad.html'); } ); A problem occurs when you enter the site via the browser's back button. Unexpectedly, the ad iFrame attempts to load immediately, delaying window.onLoad for a few seconds. During these few seconds, the site is unusable because I do a bunch of initialization after window.onLoad. As far as I know, this only happens in Firefox. How do I prevent this blocking load?

  • Image not loading from cache after it's loaded in an iframe

    - by Amir
I'm loading an image in an iframe and then (once the iframe is loaded) loading the image on the page. But most browsers seem to be loading the image twice. Why isn't the img tag being loading from the cache? Something like this: var loader = $('<iframe />').appendTo('body')[0]; loader.onload = function() { $('body').append('<img src="' + imgsrc + '" />'); }; loader.src = imgsrc; http://jsfiddle.net/amirshim/na3UA/ I'm using fiddler2 to see the network traffic. In case you want to know why I want to do this, check out this question

  • Pass information back from an iframe?

    - by ThinkBohemian
Right now i'm building a firefox plugin that duplicates some functionality on my website. It takes in an email address and then returns information to the user. The easiest way to do this in the plugin is to use an Iframe and render that super simple form on my website. All of this works great, but to make the plugin really useful, i would like the plugin to have access to the information that the iframe renders, so it can use it in the current window that the user is in. Is it possible to pass information back through an Iframe in this manner? I know there are quite a few domain access restrictions with Iframes, so any help or insight is appreciated!!

  • Appending target="_blank" to links in an iframe without using <body onload>

    - by CincauHangus
I'm trying to change the links in an iframe to load in a new window instead of the iframe itself. Currently I use this code in head: $(document).ready(function() { var oIFrame = document.getElementById("iframeID"); var oDoc = (oIFrame.contentWindow || oIFrame.contentDocument); if(oDoc.document) oDoc = oDoc.document; var links = oDoc.getElementsByTagName("a"); for(var i=0; i<links.length; i++) { links[i].target="_blank"; } }); However, the code above is triggered before the iframe is fully loaded with its contents. I know this code would work if it's triggered in the body onload attribute, but I'd like to avoid that method and implement it in a function or a file instead.

  • iframe problem using javascript

    - by Arjun Singh
Does anyone know how to get the HTML out of an IFRAME? I have tried several different ways: document.getElementById('iframe01').contentDocument.body.innerHTML, document.frames['iframe01'].document.body.innerHTML, document.getElementById('iframe01').contentWindow.document.body.innerHTML, etc but none of them worked. I believe the reason they're not working is that the content of my iframe doesn't have a body tag (I'm loading XML). Any other way to get all the contents of the iframe? I am open to jQuery too. This: document.getElementById('iframe01').contentWindow.document.body.innerHTML works fine in the IE, but this: document.getElementById('iframe01').contentDocument.body.innerHTML does not work for FF.

  • Why call iframe from javascript

    - by sammville
I want to know why some ad codes or embed codes don't directly give you iframe code to embed on your site instead they give a javascript code which links to another javascript file on their server. The file on their server calls the iframe which serves the content. Why is this done and what are the benefits of this method. Example: this is the code issued by amazon: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/s/ads.js"></script> Which opens another javascript file that calls the iframe.

  • calling javascript function inside orkut iframe

    - by tsetsik
Hi guys, I'm having a web game loaded in orkut application via iframe so there are the orkut iframe and mine iframe inside the xml. Everything is ok, but now I need to have a button for inviting some friends and wall posts from some features. I didn't find a way for including the orkut javascript in the game's code so the first thing that pops into my mind was to call a custom function in the xml by using: window.parent.myFunction(); but it gives me error: permission denied. I've tried some other ways of reaching that function but the error is the same. Does anybody know a way of doing that or this can't be done ?

    - by NebNeb
I cant seem to show the scrollbar in my iframe. I am making a script that will rotate a page 180 degrees and it uses iframes. With this code it showed no scrollbar. <iframe frameborder="0" id="browser" src="http://google.com/"></iframe> It loads dynamically(although this is after a button is pressed) but this doesnt change anything. <script language="javascript"> function refresh() { document.getElementById("browser").src = document.getElementById("url").value; document.getElementById("browser").style.visibility="visible"; } function hide() { window.location = "?hide&url="+document.getElementById("url").value; } </script>

  • iframe reaches bottom of page

    - by John
Is there a way to make the height of the <iframe> reach exactly the bottom of the page? It is hard to judge by using height:xx%, and it might be dependent on browser. The code is below: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <body style="margin:0"> <p style="margin:10px"> hello </p> <iframe src="http://www.weather.com" style="width:100%; height:95%"></iframe> </body> </html>

  • Facebook doesn't work on computer, but work on mobile device, both use the same router

    - by sasa
I have a very strange problem and I'm thinking that can be problem with dns or something similar, but not sure and don't know how to solve. My computer is connected to router and every site works fine except facebook (Chrome and Firefox). Chrome shows "Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset." But, on mobile device witch is connected to the same router facebook works fine (Fb application and Delphin browser). Pinging facebook works fine. Clearing cookies and cache didn't help. Also, I performed antivirus and antimalware scan and there is nothing. What can be a problem? Update: I'm also connect notebook on that wifi router, and on it works fine. nslookup facebook.com Server: UnKnown Address: 192.168.1.1 Non-authoritative answer: Name: facebook.com Addresses: 2a03:2880:2110:3f01:face:b00c:: 2a03:2880:10:1f02:face:b00c:0:25 2a03:2880:10:8f01:face:b00c:0:25 69.171.224.37 69.171.229.11 69.171.242.11 66.220.149.11 66.220.158.11

  • Send Gmail emails from Facebook address

    - by Mikulas Dite
Is it somehow possible to link Facebook address each username is given to Gmail? Obviously, there is the "Accounts, Send mail as" feature, but that used to return an error ... Final-Recipient: rfc822; [email protected] Action: failed Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.1.1 RCP-P2 http://postmaster.facebook.com/response_codes?ip=209.85.210.181#rcp Refused due to recipient preferences You have requested to add [email protected] to your Gmail account. Confirmation code: XXXXXXXX ... The XXX part is actually how the email actually reads, the daemon does in fact obfuscate the code prior to sending it back. I tried again recently, but Facebook mailer does not even return the error message nowadays (alas, it doesn't show in the message center either). So, is there a way to link those to services nowadays?

  • How to change my website's appearance in a Facebook wall post?

    - by Lode
When posting a website link in a Facebook wall post, Facebook fetches some content (title, text and image) from the website to show it to readers. Is there a way I can adjust / propose which content is used / preferred by Facebook? I found someone saying to use <meta property="og:image" content="image.jpg">, but this doesn't seem to have any effect. But maybe Facebook caches these results for a while?

  • Do we still need to avoid using frame/iframe for good SEO?

    - by Marco Demaio
I thought frame and iframe are something bad for SEO. Today I was doing some search and searching for "numismatica" in Google.it and the 3rd site is www.lemonete.com (ranks high also in Google.com). It's all made with frames. A competitor site (www.nummus.com) that is all done with no frames ranks much lower when searching for the same word: "numismatica" So can we use frame, don't they hit SEO ranking anymore? Any explanation (possibly simple) would be appreciated also about the fact the 2nd site ranks much lower. :) UPDATE: thanks for all the replies , I noticed now I wrote down the wrong url, it was not lemonete.it (which is just a spam site) but lemonete.com.

  • Is there a way to get photo tags and new friendship type events by querying the FQL stream table?

    - by Fletcher Moore
When you look at your stream on the Facebook website, events such as "FriendX was tagged in an album", "FriendY is attending EventZ", and "FriendK and FriendL are now friends". I've tried various "vague" queries on the stream table, and so far I have been unable to get these types of events. Is this possible, or do I need to query the all of the other tables and write a ton of logic to try to figure out which new events to show and how to show them?
