  • Java 1.5.0_16 corrupted colours when saving jpg image

    - by Coder
Hi, i have a loaded image from disk (stored as a BufferedImage), which i display correctly on a JPanel but when i try to re-save this image using the command below, the image is saved in a reddish hue. ImageIO.write(image, "jpg", fileName); Note! image is a BufferedImage and fileName is a File object pointing to the filename that will be saved which end in ".jpg". I have read that there were problems with ImageIO methods in earlier JDKs but i'm not on one of those versions as far as i could find. What i am looking for is a way to fix this issue without updating the JDK, however having said that i would still like to know in what JDK this issue was fixed in (if it indeed is still a bug with the JDK i'm using). Thanks.

  • Add image gallery to node in Drupal

    - by vian
I'm using Image module for Drupal 6 and the submodule of Image Gallery. Image gallery is identified by taxonomy term of certain vocabulary. What I need is to attach Image Gallery View supplied with Image Gallery to certain node. I am now trying to use Views Attach to do this. But how can I pass an argument of taxonomy term for gallery to the view? Also I added the taxonomy term for gallery to be defined for both images and my node type. Is it ok?

  • jQuery image grid effect

    - by anon
I have an image sitting on a page that I want to create a grid type overlay (that covers the image with a black fill) which will be partitioned into 50x50 pixels (what ever size, tbh) squares. The squares on the grid will then flip over, one at a time, in random positions revealing the image below it. The only way I can think of accomplishing this would be to create a whole bunch of grid squares and overlay them on the image with jQuery, then flip each image square individually. This, though, would be a pain in the ass. Doing this all dynamically in jQuery is what I'm hoping to accomplish. Any ideas?

  • jQuery, drop image on overlaping target

    - by Cinaird
I am using jQuery to detect drop on target, the target in question is a image. If i drag one image upon another, and then drop it, it shall replace the target source with the dropped source. This works fine until two images lies upon each other. Some of the images lies next to each other and some times the target images overlap. if i drop, both the visible image and the image beneath is replaced with the dragged image. I hope the problem is clear and their is any good solution

  • WPF Custom Control with Image problem

    - by user311883
Hi all, I am quite new to WPF/XAML and I am currently facing a problem. I have a solution with two projects in it, the first project is a Custom Control Library with a custom Window form control inside. The second project is a WPF application using my custom window form. All work fine except for the form Icon. In the WPF application project I set my window icon property to "/ProjectTwoNameSpace;component/Resources/Images/Film.ico", and in the WPF custom control I try to show that image that way : <Image Grid.Column="0" Margin="3" Width="27" Height="27"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="{Binding Path=Icon}" /> </Image.Source> </Image> But it doesn't work, I get a error at runtime saying that the property UriSource or StreamSource must be set for my tag. Anyone can help me ? I think it's jsut a WPF newbie problem ^^

  • Cocoa : Scale Image dragged into an ImageWell

    - by Holli
I am working on application to keep a comic book collection in order. The user should be able to drag an image of the cover artwork into the program via an ImageWell. Since it is not possible to drag the image out of the application again I don't need to save the picture in it's original size. An image at the size of the ImageWell would be just fine. The question is how do I rescale the image with my application? To make things even more complicated the ImageWell is bound with Core Data. So I need to rescale the image before Core Data will save the picture in its original size.

  • Java: Line appears when using AffineTransform to scale image

    - by Malakim
Hi, I'm having a problem with image scaling. When I use the following code to scale an image it ends up with a line either at the bottom or on the right side of the image. double scale = 1; if (scaleHeight >= scaleWidth) { scale = scaleWidth; } else { scale = scaleHeight; } AffineTransform af = new AffineTransform(); af.scale(scale, scale); AffineTransformOp operation = new AffineTransformOp(af, AffineTransformOp.TYPE_NEAREST_NEIGHBOR); BufferedImage bufferedThumb = operation.filter(img, null); The original image is here: http://tinyurl.com/yzv6r7h The scaled image: http://tinyurl.com/yk6e8ga Does anyone know why the line appears? Thanks!

  • Free (as in beer) Reverse Image Search API/Library/Service

    - by Bauer
TinEye provides a great way to "reverse" search by image (i.e. upload/transload an image and have multiple possible sources of that image returned as results.) Since screen-scraping is messy and unreliable, I'm looking for a free API/library/web-service that could offer the same (or similar) reverse-image search function. At present, TinEye offers a commercial API, but since I'll only be using the service for small personal projects, it's hard to justify the cost of the service (the lowest being 1,000 searches for $70 USD). Is anyone aware of such a free service? Or is there a simpler way to approach this (programmatic solution; any language)? I understand that this is a tall order, and submitting the question is really only a last resort in the hope that there is some solution. Example image search is 99designs' StackOverflow logo competition entry by wolv

  • Scaling up an image

    - by codefail
    How do I fulfill the condition "returns the entire scaled up image" If I am coding this correctly, scaleColor handles individual colors, getRed handles the red, etc. I am multiplying this by the input, numTimes, which will create a new image that is scaled up it. This scaled up (increase size) is to be returned. This is what I have. Image Image::scaleUp(int numTimes) const { for (int x = 0; x < width; x++) { for (int y = 0; y < height; y++) { pixelData[x][y].scaleColor(pixelData[x][y].scaleRed(pixelData[x][y].getRed()*numTimes)); pixelData[x][y].scaleColor(pixelData[x][y].scaleGreen(pixelData[x][y].getGreen()*numTimes)); pixelData[x][y].scaleColor(pixelData[x][y].scaleBlue(pixelData[x][y].getBlue()*numTimes)); } } //return Image(); }

  • How to place text on top of image in ReportViewer

    - by Christoffer
I feel very silly asking this, since it seems like it just should work, but I cannot make it work and cannot find anything in the documentation about this. The problem: I'm developing an application in Visual Studio 2010 that is utilizing ReportViewer, rendering the report locally. In the report designer, I place a textbox on top of an image. This looks fine in the designer, but when rendering the report, the textbox is rendered below the image. Now, before you suggest it, I have tried placing a textbox on top of a rectangle (or other control) with the BackgroundImage property set. This works. But: I cannot find a way to rescale the background image to fit the control. Setting a different dpi for the background image does nothing. Simply rescaling the image to a different resolution is not an option, since I eventually want to print the report. Does anybody have a solution to this?

  • Headless HTML rendering to image on CentOS 5.4

    - by Jim Tough
Hello, I have a project requirement to render HTML and capture the rendered image as a file on a headless CentOS 5.4 server. My specific requirements are: 1) Input will be a URL to the page to render, output will be an image file containing the rendered image of the page 2) CSS must be supported by the renderer up to CSS level-1 3) Static images in the page must be displayed properly in the rendered image, including any transparent color in .GIF files 4) Must be able to run on a headless CentOS 5.4 server. 5) Solution must not depend on any product or component that is not free for commercial use I do not need to do anything with the page other than get the screen capture and save it to an image. The hard part seems to be doing this in a headless environment. Some of the solutions that I've seen discussed need a display in order to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Jim

If I right click the icon and choose to open the image in another window then the image opens, so it seems to me that it isn't a problem with the page? • Why I cannot see an image if I do not use the full name of an image?

    - by Roman
I try to add an image to JPanel. It works if I specify the full name of the image (including name of all folders). But I want my software to be machine independent (another machine does not have the same folder structure as my machine has). So, I put my image to the same place where the source is and in my code I use just name of the image (no folders' names). It does not work. I put my image into the folder where my executables are. It does not work again. So, why it does not work and what can I do with that?

  • jquery background image fade

    - by Nick
I am using jQuery to load ina background image that fills the page width / height. I have the following in the Head: $(document).ready(function() { $('body').css({ 'background-image' : 'url({HTML_BASE}images/backgrounds/randoms/{BACK_IMG})', 'background-repeat' : 'no-repeat', 'background-position' : 'center top', 'background-attachment': 'fixed', 'background-size': '100% 100%', }); $('#home-promo').innerfade({ speed: 'slow', timeout: 5000, type: 'sequence', containerheight: 'auto' }); $('.model-search').innerfade({ speed: 'slow', timeout: 5000, type: 'sequence', containerheight: '393' }); }); This works fine and can be seen at http://projects.snowshtechnologies.com/golden_dragon/home/ I want the BG image to fade in from the black background colour. I have looked at a few other threads on Stack that suggest its not possible as a body element defined in css, but in this scenario the BG image is being loaded in by jQuery. How would I go about adding a fade in to this code to bring the image in with a nice fadein?

  • DMG image containing Mac OS X 10.6.5 update not recognized

    - by Lawliet
Hello, I want to update my Mac OS X 10.6.3 and want to use the manual package update (not Software Update) and I am having this problem for two days now. First I downloaded Mac OS X 10.6.5 Combo update and on the first opening it popped up a message saying "Unable to mount: disk image not recognized". I thought that somehow the image became corrupt during the download, so I downloaded it again. Same result. And I downloaded again. And again... No use, it still states that the .dmg is not recognized. Then I tried to update my system from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4 using the same method (package installer). It worked. And of course I downloaded the 10.6.5 update (not the combo package, but the 10.6.4 10.6.5 update package)... guess what. Not recognized. I don't understand how is this possible. Did anyone has the same problem? Please don't advice me to use software update, as I need to do that on multiple Macs Thanks in advance.

  • Tail the filename, not the file

    - by Craig Walker
In UNIX (OS X BSD to be precise), I have a "tail -f" command on a log file. From time to time I want to delete this log file so I can more easily review it in my text editor. I delete the file, and then my program recreates it after new activity. However, my tail command (and anything else that was watching the old log file) doesn't update; it's still watching the old, deleted log file. I think I understand why this is (file names simply being pointers to blocks of file data). I'd like to know how I can work around this. Ideally, my tail command (and anything else I point to the file) would be able to read the data from the new file when the file name has been deleted and recreated. How would I do this?

  • What is the difference between the BIN file generated by ImgBurn and UltraISO

    - by user275517
I have a CD that I would like to generate a BIN file from (with a CUE file to accompany it). I used ImgBurn and UltraISO to to generate two BIN files. However, I have found out that BIN files generated by these programs are not identical (different file size). So, what is the difference between the BIN file formats and which one should I use to backup CD? The same applies to ISO file generation by these two programs - file size does not match.

  • Viewing file: protocol requests made from a swf

    - by Erik Vold
I've got a swf file in a index.html file, the swf is basically loading images, but it requests a xml file which details where the image/asset files are located. Now the index file (which is just html, js, and css) works (ie: the swf file is working) when used on this url: http://localhost:8500/core/index.html which I'm able to do with Coldfusion 8 single server development environment. But when I access the file directly with this url: file:///C:/ColdFusion8/wwwroot/core/index.html the swf file does not work. So I'm guessing that the swf is having trouble locating the files that it needs. The problem is I have no idea what file urls it is try to access atm, and both Firebug and Fiddler are not able to inform me what requests are made on the file: protocol. So is there another tool that I can use?

  • Gifsicle: How to set it to not overwrite the original GIF file if the resulting modified GIF file is larger than the original?

    - by galacticninja
About Gifsicle: Gifsicle is a command-line tool for creating, editing, and getting information about GIF images and animations. One of its features is (from its website): Optimize your animations! This stores only the changed portion of each frame, and can radically shrink your GIFs. You can also use transparency to make them even smaller. Gifsicle’s optimizer is pretty powerful, and usually reduces animations to within a couple bytes of the best commercial optimizers. I call Gifsicle through this .BAT file in the Right Click - 'Send to' Menu: @echo off :compressFile "C:\Programs\Compression Scripts\gifsicle\bin\gifsicle.exe" --batch -V -O3 %1% echo. echo. SHIFT if exist %1% goto compressFile PAUSE This animated GIF file, however: http://i.minus.com/i7WdodY5Zwot3.gif, when its compression is optimized with Gifsicle with the above commands, results in a larger-filesized GIF file. Gifsicle overwrites the original GIF file with the resulting larger-filesized GIF file. Initial filesize: 7.57 MiB (7,942,886 bytes). After running through the above commands with Gifsicle: 7.64 MiB (8,017,622 bytes). Is there a way to prevent Gifsicle from overwriting the original file if its output file is larger than the original file, while still overwriting the original file if the output file is smaller? Details: OS: Windows 7 Gifsicle version: 1.63, from the binary provided here: http://www.lcdf.org/gifsicle/ Gifsicle manual

  • Image File In Text Editor - What Are The Characters? What's the Process?

    - by TheDarkIn1978
i'm currently in the process of conceptualizing an art piece for a gallery show next year, so this bizarre question of mine is more than just simple curiosity. if i open up an image file (a .PNG) with Text Edit or Note Pad, the file is presented in textual characters. something like this except: æº"í=™?0Ù:Ã,ÏI8^?K¯pmDHƒÃ?;wÔlD DDF›ä™èÜE[E˜ƒê?¯ƒºäeèçã?'ów+æ1ï‡ê0òHõñ?ò$úîù¥{WÎn}2*Ÿ!y(Ö!%2e9U2µ i4Õ(?=ù(›7}:É?##„G¶VfcVñ[÷D6gvrˆvéZN›=Ù=ó{púp…p?Ók‹oÃvŒÛ»{ùœóüôøW†W–VH\P?P$VTPt^lQ‹_B_S=Q™\Z[Ü)s/{]Œ_û]~¯¿¯Awu˜ùä’JÖ Í*tï[’ÎáÔ=<Æ6?~ZCWSÛpVµ?±ØŒ?nÆ^¨æ??™¡?a¥ë£1µÒÁ#?Gè)G<^mRl™m?jˆj~€"“R–Úª’?u?çO-•m˜â?ìéväˆàˆOä5ùXùûù”]¬]?]›V›œ{X{Óˆ|Ô’Èm{J?4‰Èáæõ}??~Á?óºYáœåüuRFÆ>W|^3Ñ5‰94=,<ú?|1b=2< >ö:?sÃ`¨{úf<f|ÛÖ?ãÊ íâ–âè/_÷O¬}Â?Í›§Ãd’kÃkØ?sSíS? ??øy;-6]ˆ?÷ÌÌÙåËLÈ,l÷uvzNtÆt6Ô6?O ?P?_t_|°N¸]Ÿ{ƒ{è˜3KK> ?x~ò[ñ\ÆXA?x?Ãî?X? ?…°”¸™‘jÂzÕkm~]jObµ·p1°Y‚s?&b”}s?ãËóí-»ñ”÷‰?‡v?ˆ˜WõØ£??æe~;¸n?Ooáa'aÁÎÌ-ª$ª!ª~ ?¨‹CÏpÏO/Á›œ/?80<Ë<§8 can anyone explain what is happening here? are the characters some form translation of pixel data by the text editor? maybe it is completely meaningless / an error? if not, is there a name for this type of data conversion or process?

  • mapping rect in small image to larger image (in order to do a copyPixels operation)

    - by skinnyTOD
Hi all - this is (I think) a relatively simple math question but I've spent a day banging my head against it and have only the dents and no solution... I'm coding in actionscript 3 - the functionality is: large image loaded at runtime. The bitmapData is stored and a smaller version is created to display on the available screen area (I may end up just scaling the large image since it is in memory anyway). The user can create a rectangle hotspot on the smaller image (the functionality will be more complex: multiple rects with transparency: example a donut shape with hole, etc) 3 When the user clicks on the hotspot, the rect of the hotspot is mapped to the larger image and a new bitmap "callout" is created, using the larger bitmap data. The reason for this is so the "callout" will be better quality than just scaling up the area of the hotspot. The image below shows where I am at so far- the blue rect is the clicked hotspot. In the upper left is the "callout" - copied from the larger image. I have the aspect ratio right but I am not mapping to the larger image correctly. Ugly code below... Sorry this post is so long - I just figured I ought to provide as much info as possible.
