  • C# creating a custom user interface

    - by CSharpInquisitor
Hi, I have a SQL database holding a number of numeric and text values that get updated regularly. The exact number/type/names of these data points can change depending on the source of the database writes. I would like to create a user interface editor, where the user can add database points to the UI and arrange them and format them as they want. If a new point is added to the database they can right click on the UI and say "add this point" and choose from a list of database points. I'm looking for some pointers on where to start on creating this editor application, could something clever be done using XAML to dynamically create std WPF controls at runtime? Thanks in advance for any help, Si

  • ¿Oficina sin papeles?

    - by [email protected]

- How I can install Age of Mythology on Ubuntu?

    - by edgarsalguero93
English: I have a problem trying to install Age of Mythology Gold Edition (v 1.03). At the beginning of the Wine (1.3.28) on my Ubuntu 11.10, and after entering the serial and click Next, I get an error "Unable to load pidgen.dll" and return to the previous window. In Configure Wine and in the Libraries tab I added the DLL that calls me but nothing has changed. I tried everything to be installed but not working. I have also tried to install in a virtual machine with VMware Workstation 8.0.1 Microsoft Windows XP SP3 and I get a compatibility error with video card: "Video Card 0: VMware SVGA II vmx_fb.dll Vendor (0x15AD) Device (0x405) "and closes the Age of Mythology. I think the solution in this case would increase the amount of video available to the VMware virtual machine or a driver for this card, but not how to do that. Or maybe someone knows the way that my video card that has my computer is also used for VMware or earmark part of the video memory to the virtual machine. I searched several sites, but none solved my problem. Please, if someone already found the answer, to answer this question. I also apologize if the translation is not well understood. I used the Google translator. Thanks and greetings from Latin America

  • High CPU usage with Team Speak 3.0.0-rc2

    - by AlexTheBird
The CPU usage is always around 40 percent. I use push-to-talk and I had uninstalled pulseaudio. Now I use Alsa. I don't even have to connect to a Server. By simply starting TS the cpu usage goes up 40 percent and stays there. The CPU usage of 3.0.0-rc1 [Build: 14468] is constantly 14 percent. UPDATE: Thanks to nickguletskii's link I googled for "alsa cpu usage" (without quotes) and it brought me to a forum. A user wrote that by directly selecting the hardware with "plughw:x.x" won't impact the performance of the system. I have selected it in the TS 3 configuration and it worked. But this solution is not optimal because now no other program can access the sound output. If you need any further information or my question is unclear than please tell me.

  • Slide Men&uacute; con Jquery &amp; Asp.net

    - by Jason Ulloa

    - by Paulo Folgado

  • StreamInsight and Reactive Framework Challenge

In his blogpost Roman from the StreamInsight team asked if we could create a Reactive Framework version of what he had done in the post using StreamInsight.  For those who don’t know, the Reactive Framework or Rx to its friends is a library for composing asynchronous and event-based programs using observable collections in the .Net framework.  Yes, there is some overlap between StreamInsight and the Reactive Extensions but StreamInsight has more flexibility and power in its temporal algebra (Windowing, Alteration of event headers) Well here are two alternate ways of doing what Roman did. The first example is a mix of StreamInsight and Rx var rnd = new Random(); var RandomValue = 0; var interval = Observable.Interval(TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds((Int32)rnd.Next(500,3000))) .Select(i => { RandomValue = rnd.Next(300); return RandomValue; }); Server s = Server.Create("Default"); Microsoft.ComplexEventProcessing.Application a = s.CreateApplication("Rx SI Mischung"); var inputStream = interval.ToPointStream(a, evt => PointEvent.CreateInsert( System.DateTime.Now.ToLocalTime(), new { RandomValue = evt}), AdvanceTimeSettings.IncreasingStartTime, "Rx Sample"); var r = from evt in inputStream select new { runningVal = evt.RandomValue }; foreach (var x in r.ToPointEnumerable().Where(e => e.EventKind != EventKind.Cti)) { Console.WriteLine(x.Payload.ToString()); } This next version though uses the Reactive Extensions Only   var rnd = new Random(); var RandomValue = 0; Observable.Interval(TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds((Int32)rnd.Next(500, 3000))) .Select(i => { RandomValue = rnd.Next(300); return RandomValue; }).Subscribe(Console.WriteLine, () => Console.WriteLine("Completed")); Console.ReadKey();   These are very simple examples but both technologies allow us to do a lot more.  The ICEPObservable() design pattern was reintroduced in StreamInsight 1.1 and the more I use it the more I like it.  It is a very useful pattern when wanting to show StreamInsight samples as is the IEnumerable() pattern.

  • Motores tecnológicos para el crecimiento económico

    - by Fabian Gradolph

  • Oracle Releases New Mainframe Re-Hosting in Oracle Tuxedo 11g

    - by Jason Williamson
I'm excited to say that we've released our next generation of Re-hosting in 11g. In fact I'm doing some hands-on labs now for our Systems Integrators in Italy in a couple of weeks and targeting Latin America next month. If you are an SI, or Rehosting firm and are looking to become an Oracle Partner or get a better understanding of Tuxedo and how to use the workbench for rehosting...drop me a line. Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch 11g provides a CICS API emulation and Batch environment that exploits the full range of Oracle Tuxedo's capabilities. Re-hosted applications run in a multi-node, grid environment with centralized production control. Also, enterprise integration of CICS application services benefits from an open and SOA-enabled framework. Key features include: CICS Application Runtime: Can run IBM CICS applications unchanged in an application grid, which enables the distribution of large workloads across multiple processors and nodes. This simplifies CICS administration and can scale to over 100,000 users and over 50,000 transactions per second. 3270 Terminal Server: Protects business users from change through support for tn3270 terminal emulation. Distributed CICS Resource Management: Simplifies deployment and administration by allowing customers to run CICS regions in a distributed configuration. Batch Application Runtime: Provides robust IBM JES-like job management that enables local or remote job submissions. In addition, distributed batch initiators can enable parallelization of jobs and support fail-over, shortening the batch window and helping to meet stringent SLAs. Batch Execution Environment: Helps to run IBM batch unchanged and also supports JCL functionality and all common batch utilities. Oracle Tuxedo Application Rehosting Workbench 11g provides a set of automated migration tools integrated around a central repository. The tools provide high precision which results in very low error rates and the ability to handle large applications. This enables less expensive, low-risk migration projects. Key capabilities include: Workbench Repository and Cataloguer: Ensures integrity of the migrated application assets through full dependency checking. The Cataloguer generates and maintains all relevant meta-data on source and target components. File Migrator: Supports reliable migration of datasets and flat files to an ISAM or Oracle Database 11g. This is done through the automated migration utilities for data unloading, reloading and validation. It also generates logical access functions to shield developers from data repository changes. DB2 Migrator: Similarly, this tool automates the migration of DB2 schema and data to Oracle Database 11g. COBOL Migrator: Supports migration of IBM mainframe COBOL assets (OLTP and Batch) to open systems. Adapts programs for compiler dialects and data access variations. JCL Migrator: Supports migration of IBM JCL jobs to a Tuxedo ART environment, maintaining the flow and characteristics of batch jobs.

  • Cloud Computing : publication du volet 3 du Syntec Numérique

    - by Eric Bezille
• Why is my CPU being used while doing nothing?

    - by Jop
    I have installed Ubuntu GNOME in BIOS mode on my MacBook (BIOS mode so that the proprietary NVIDIA drivers work. I need them for gaming.). For some reason, a lot of CPU is being used while not really doing anything. It swings between 20-30% on both cores, usually. But when I look at the list of processes and sort by CPU usage, I do not see anything special. No processes intensively doing anything. How can I fix this? EDIT: Output of top command. jop@jop-MacBook:~$ top top - 17:08:02 up 41 min, 2 users, load average: 0,51, 0,69, 0,95 Tasks: 202 total, 2 running, 200 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie %Cpu(s): 11,9 us, 5,8 sy, 0,0 ni, 80,3 id, 0,5 wa, 0,0 hi, 1,5 si, 0,0 st KiB Mem: 7908316 total, 2919940 used, 4988376 free, 153248 buffers KiB Swap: 3906244 total, 0 used, 3906244 free, 1326544 cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 3785 root 20 0 195m 82m 26m S 22,9 1,1 2:43.77 Xorg 4429 jop 20 0 1543m 150m 60m S 7,3 1,9 1:26.26 compiz 4198 jop 20 0 633m 21m 11m S 1,7 0,3 0:04.96 unity-panel-ser 7425 jop 20 0 564m 18m 12m S 1,7 0,2 0:00.84 gnome-terminal 7019 jop 20 0 806m 89m 46m S 1,0 1,2 0:10.01 chrome 7323 jop 20 0 966m 93m 23m S 1,0 1,2 0:06.85 chrome 6742 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0,7 0,0 0:00.43 kworker/0:3 3 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0,3 0,0 0:06.01 ksoftirqd/0 7008 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0,3 0,0 0:00.27 kworker/1:3 7302 jop 20 0 972m 96m 28m S 0,3 1,2 0:06.32 chrome 7310 jop 20 0 382m 63m 39m S 0,3 0,8 0:00.34 chrome 7498 jop 20 0 24840 1600 1120 R 0,3 0,0 0:00.22 top 1 root 20 0 27176 2944 1412 S 0,0 0,0 0:01.58 init 2 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0,0 0,0 0:00.00 kthreadd 5 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0,0 0,0 0:00.00 kworker/0:0H 6 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0,0 0,0 0:00.00 kworker/u4:0 7 root rt 0 0 0 0 S 0,0 0,0 0:02.04 migration/0 Even when xorg isn't so busy like when I copied, CPU usage is higher then what the processes use.

I have my nginx conf file so that when ever a mobile device visits my site the url gets rewritten to m.mysite.com I did it by adding the following set $mobile_rewrite do_not_perform; if ($http_user_agent ~* "android.+mobile|avantgo|bada\/|blackberry|blazer|compal|elaine|fennec|hiptop|iemobile|ip(hone|od)|iris|kindle|lge |maemo|midp|mmp|netfront|opera m(ob|in)i|palm( os)?|phone|p(ixi|re)\/|plucker|pocket|psp|symbian|treo|up\.(browser|link)|vodafone|wap|windows (ce|phone)|xda|xiino") { set $mobile_rewrite perform; } if ($http_user_agent ~* "^(1207|6310|6590|3gso|4thp|50[1-6]i|770s|802s|a wa|abac|ac(er|oo|s\-)|ai(ko|rn)|al(av|ca|co)|amoi|an(ex|ny|yw)|aptu|ar(ch|go)|as(te|us)|attw|au(di|\-m|r |s )|avan|be(ck|ll|nq)|bi(lb|rd)|bl(ac|az)|br(e|v)w|bumb|bw\-(n|u)|c55\/|capi|ccwa|cdm\-|cell|chtm|cldc|cmd\-|co(mp|nd)|craw|da(it|ll|ng)|dbte|dc\-s|devi|dica|dmob|do(c|p)o|ds(12|\-d)|el(49|ai)|em(l2|ul)|er(ic|k0)|esl8|ez([4-7]0|os|wa|ze)|fetc|fly(\-|_)|g1 u|g560|gene|gf\-5|g\-mo|go(\.w|od)|gr(ad|un)|haie|hcit|hd\-(m|p|t)|hei\-|hi(pt|ta)|hp( i|ip)|hs\-c|ht(c(\-| |_|a|g|p|s|t)|tp)|hu(aw|tc)|i\-(20|go|ma)|i230|iac( |\-|\/)|ibro|idea|ig01|ikom|im1k|inno|ipaq|iris|ja(t|v)a|jbro|jemu|jigs|kddi|keji|kgt( |\/)|klon|kpt |kwc\-|kyo(c|k)|le(no|xi)|lg( g|\/(k|l|u)|50|54|e\-|e\/|\-[a-w])|libw|lynx|m1\-w|m3ga|m50\/|ma(te|ui|xo)|mc(01|21|ca)|m\-cr|me(di|rc|ri)|mi(o8|oa|ts)|mmef|mo(01|02|bi|de|do|t(\-| |o|v)|zz)|mt(50|p1|v )|mwbp|mywa|n10[0-2]|n20[2-3]|n30(0|2)|n50(0|2|5)|n7(0(0|1)|10)|ne((c|m)\-|on|tf|wf|wg|wt)|nok(6|i)|nzph|o2im|op(ti|wv)|oran|owg1|p800|pan(a|d|t)|pdxg|pg(13|\-([1-8]|c))|phil|pire|pl(ay|uc)|pn\-2|po(ck|rt|se)|prox|psio|pt\-g|qa\-a|qc(07|12|21|32|60|\-[2-7]|i\-)|qtek|r380|r600|raks|rim9|ro(ve|zo)|s55\/|sa(ge|ma|mm|ms|ny|va)|sc(01|h\-|oo|p\-)|sdk\/|se(c(\-|0|1)|47|mc|nd|ri)|sgh\-|shar|sie(\-|m)|sk\-0|sl(45|id)|sm(al|ar|b3|it|t5)|so(ft|ny)|sp(01|h\-|v\-|v )|sy(01|mb)|t2(18|50)|t6(00|10|18)|ta(gt|lk)|tcl\-|tdg\-|tel(i|m)|tim\-|t\-mo|to(pl|sh)|ts(70|m\-|m3|m5)|tx\-9|up(\.b|g1|si)|utst|v400|v750|veri|vi(rg|te)|vk(40|5[0-3]|\-v)|vm40|voda|vulc|vx(52|53|60|61|70|80|81|83|85|98)|w3c(\-| )|webc|whit|wi(g |nc|nw)|wmlb|wonu|x700|xda(\-|2|g)|yas\-|your|zeto|zte\-)") { set $mobile_rewrite perform; } if ($mobile_rewrite = perform) { rewrite ^ http://m.mywebsite.com redirect; break; } I got it from http://detectmobilebrowsers.com/ IT WORKS.But none of my images/js/css files load only the HTML. Can someone tell me whats wrong with my laptop? NOTE: This only happens when I close the screen. My computer doesn't go to sleep with the screen open.

  • MySQL is killing the server IO.

    - by OneOfOne
I manage a fairly large/busy vBulletin forums (running on gigenet cloud), the database is ~ 10 GB (~9 milion posts, ~60 queries per second), lately MySQL have been grinding the disk like there's no tomorrow according to iotop and slowing the site. The last idea I can think of is using replication, but I'm not sure how much that would help and worried about database sync. I'm out of ideas, any tips on how to improve the situation would be highly appreciated. Specs : Debian Lenny 64bit ~12Ghz (6x2GHz) CPU, 7520gb RAM, 160gb disk. PHP running too slow, always showing "504 Gateway Time-out" My server spec: Dual core ATOM 330 CPU 2GB RAM Use nginx with PHP in fastcgi use eaccelerator CPU 74.3%id RAM used: 350MB of 2GB I have lots of sites in my server, with cron running every minutes all time, even on some minutes, double or triple cron running at same time. All my sites cron is heavy, usually the cron running more than one minutes. my nginx.conf has become too big until nginx refuse to start because too many sites in it. it has been solved by increasing server_names_hash_max_size. Im planning to add more sites in my server Now, opening my website always showing 504 Gateway Time-out. I have tested many eaccelerator and PHP setting, but this 504 Gateway Time-out still happen. the 504 Gateway Time-out will dissappeared when cron is disabled I have no idea: is this because not enough processor power? And what should I do? upgrade my processor? --------added this is top for my CPU just now: Cpu(s): 17.5%us, 3.8%sy, 0.1%ni, 71.6%id, 6.9%wa, 0.1%hi, 0.1%si, 0.0%st

  • Nice level not working on linux

    - by xioxox
I have some highly floating point intensive processes doing very little I/O. One is called "xspec", which calculates a numerical model and returns a floating point result back to a master process every second (via stdout). It is niced at the 19 level. I have another simple process "cpufloattest" which just does numerical computations in a tight loop. It is not niced. I have a 4-core i7 system with hyperthreading disabled. I have started 4 of each type of process. Why is the Linux scheduler (Linux 3.4.2) not properly limiting the CPU time taken up by the niced processes? • Why can't Logman start?

    - by Bill Paetzke
I'm setting up my first logman counter. But it's not working! There is some file or folder permissions problem. Or maybe I wrote the create-counter statement wrong. Here's my counter commands: logman create counter BillTest -si 30 -v nnnnnn -max 200 -o "C:\Temp" -c "\Processor(*)\*" "\Memory(*)\*" "\LogicalDisk(*)\*" logman start BillTest The first command works. It says counter creation successful. The second command fails: Collection "BillTest" did not start, check the application event log for any errors Here's the error in the Event Viewer: The service was unable to open the log file C:\Temp_000001.blg for log BillTest and will be stopped. Check the log folder for existence, spelling, permissions, and ensure that no other logs or applications are writing to this log file. You can reenter the log file name using the configuration program. This log will not be started. The error returned is: Access is denied. I verified that C:\Temp exists. I'm not a permissions guru, but I did set all the accounts in the security tab of that folder to "full control." Still, the logman start command failed with the same error. I noticed that it was trying to write to C:\Temp_000001.blg instead of C:\Temp\000001.blg. That might be part of the problem. So, I tried to update my counter to "C:\Temp\" instead of "C:\Temp", but that failed with a path-invalid error. Also, all the examples I saw online used did not put a trailing slash. So, no dice there. I tried this on my machine (Windows XP) and my dev server (Windows Server 2003). Both failed with the same error. How can I fix this?

I tried to analyze pidstat output: # pidstat -w 10 1 12:39:13 PID cswch/s nvcswch/s Command 12:39:23 1 0.20 0.00 init 12:39:23 4 0.20 0.00 ksoftirqd/0 12:39:23 7 1.60 0.00 events/0 12:39:23 8 1.50 0.00 events/1 12:39:23 89 0.50 0.00 kblockd/0 12:39:23 90 0.30 0.00 kblockd/1 12:39:23 995 0.40 0.00 kirqd 12:39:23 997 0.60 0.00 kjournald 12:39:23 1146 0.20 0.00 svscan 12:39:23 2162 5.00 0.00 kjournald 12:39:23 2526 0.20 2.00 postgres 12:39:23 2530 1.00 0.30 postgres 12:39:23 2534 5.00 3.20 postgres 12:39:23 2536 1.40 1.70 postgres 12:39:23 12061 10.59 0.90 postgres 12:39:23 14442 1.50 2.20 postgres 12:39:23 15416 0.20 0.00 monitor 12:39:23 17289 0.10 0.00 syslogd 12:39:23 21776 0.40 0.30 postgres 12:39:23 23638 0.10 0.00 screen 12:39:23 25153 1.00 0.00 sshd 12:39:23 25185 86.61 0.00 daemon1 12:39:23 25190 12.19 35.86 postgres 12:39:23 25295 2.00 0.00 screen 12:39:23 25743 9.99 0.00 daemon2 12:39:23 25747 1.10 3.00 postgres 12:39:23 26968 5.09 0.80 postgres 12:39:23 26969 5.00 0.00 postgres 12:39:23 26970 1.10 0.20 postgres 12:39:23 26971 17.98 1.80 postgres 12:39:23 27607 0.90 0.40 postgres 12:39:23 29338 4.30 0.00 screen 12:39:23 31247 4.10 23.58 postgres 12:39:23 31249 82.92 34.77 postgres 12:39:23 31484 0.20 0.00 pdflush 12:39:23 32097 0.10 0.00 pidstat Looks like some postgresql tasks are doing 10 context swiches per second, but it doesn't all sum up to 20k anyway. Any idea how to dig a little deeper for an answer?
