  • Cannot redeclare class error when generating PHPUnit code coverage report

    - by Cobby
Starting a project with Zend Framework 1.10 and Doctrine 2 (Beta1). I am using namespaces in my own library code. When generating code coverage reports I get a Fatal Error about Redeclaring a class. To provide more info, I've commented out the xdebug_disable() call in my phpunit executable so you can see the function trace (disabled local variables output because there was too much output). Here's my Terminal output: $ phpunit PHPUnit 3.4.12 by Sebastian Bergmann. ........ I do have another application resource but it doesn't seam to have a problem (the other one is a Doctrine 2 resource). I'm not sure why it is specific to this class, my entire library is autoloaded so their isn't any include/require calls anywhere. I guess it should be noted that HelperBroker is the first file in the filesystem stemming out from library/Cob I am on Snow Leopard with the latest/recent versions of all software (Zend Server, Zend Framework, Doctrine 2 Beta1, Phing, PHPUnit, PEAR).

  • How to load view-Templates from default when not available in module? Zend Framework

    - by Oliver
Hi my problem with Zend Framework... unfortunately not solved after 3 hours of searching: I have a modular Zend Application, which is working fine if i have my module and error templates in the called module. If i delete error/error.phtml out of views/scripts/ a Fatal Error is showing up that there is no directory. To cut a long story short: How can i define that Zend falls back to default module in this situation? Many thanks in advance.

  • Is there a way to alter Zend Studio PhpDoc preferences?

    - by Tower
Hi, I'm trying out Zend Studio trial and I have a few things on my mind related to PhpDoc. If I have the following code: public function sum($a, $b) { echo $a + $b; } and then I start typing /** in the front of the function and press Enter, Zend Studio automatically makes the following text: /** * [cursor] * @param unknown_type $a * @param unknown_type $b */ However, I want to customize this so that it also includes @return void automatically since there's no return inside the function. Is there a way to do this? And what about things like @access? It's obviously "public". Another thing I want is that when I create a new file and I use the code templates with ${user}, it will use my Windows account, but I want it to use something else - is there a way to specify this "user"?

  • Add Zend_Navigation to the View with old legacy bootstrap

    - by Grant Collins
Hi, I've been struggling with Zend_Navigation all weekend, and now I have another problem, which I believe has been the cause of a lot of my issues. I am trying to add Zend_Navigation to a legacy 1.7.6 Zend Framework application, i've updated the Zend Library to 1.9.0 and updated the bootstrap to allow this library update. The problem is that I don't know how, and the examples show the new bootstrap method of how to add the Navigation object to the view, I've tried this: //initialise the application layouts with the MVC helpers $layout = Zend_Layout::startMvc(array('layoutPath' => '../application/layouts')); $view = $layout->getView(); $configNav = new Zend_Config_Xml('../application/config/navigation.xml', 'navigation'); $navigation = new Zend_Navigation($configNav); $view->navigation($navigation); $viewRenderer = new Zend_Controller_Action_Helper_ViewRenderer(); $viewRenderer->setView($view); This seems to run through fine, but when I go to use the breadcrumb view helper in my layout, it errors with: Strict Standards: Creating default object from empty value in C:\www\moobia\development\website\application\modules\employers\controllers\IndexController.php on line 27 This is caused by the following code in the init() function of my controller. $uri = $this->_request->getPathInfo(); $activeNav = $this->view->navigation()->findByUri($uri); <- this is null when called $activeNav->active = true; I believe it's because the Zend_Navigation object is not in the view. I would look at migrating the bootstrap to the current method, but at present I am running out of time for a release. Thanks, Grant

  • ZF2 - ServiceManager injecting into 84 tables... tedious

    - by Dominic Watson
I originally made another thread about this a couple of months ago in regards to ZF2 injecting into tables with DI during Beta 1 and figured back then that it wasn't really possible. Now ZF2 has been released as version 2.0.0 and ServiceManager is defaulted to instead of DI I guess I have the same question now I'm refactoring. I've got 84 tables that need the DbAdapter injecting into them and I'm sure there has to be a better way as I'm replicating myself SO much. public function getServiceConfig() { return array( 'factories' => array( 'accountTable' => function ($sm) { $dbAdapter = $sm->get('Zend\Db\Adapter\Adapter'); $table = new Model\DbTable\AccountTable($dbAdapter); return $table; }, 'userTable' => function ($sm) { $dbAdapter = $sm->get('Zend\Db\Adapter\Adapter'); $table = new Model\DbTable\UserTable($dbAdapter); return $table; }, // another 82 tables of the above ) ) } With the EventsManager and ServiceManager I have no idea where I stand in getting my application's instances/resources. Thanks, Dom

  • Zend_Session: unserialize session data

    - by takeshin
I'm using session SaveHandler to persist session data in the database. Sample session_data column from the database: Messenger|a:1:{s:13:"page_messages";a:0:{}}userSession|a:1:{s:7:"referer";s:32:"http://cms.dev/user/profile/view";}Zend_Auth|a:1:{s:7:"storage";O:19:"User_Model_Identity":3:{s:2:"id";s:1:"1";s:8:"username";s:13:"administrator";s:4:"slug";s:13:"administrator";}} I want to delete Zend_Auth object from this session data. How can I unserialize those objects and remove object I need? I suspect, that I don't have to write my custom parser, that Zend_Session already has a method to do this. I have tried different combinations of unserialize but it still returns false. I'm using autoloader from ZF 1.10.2 and Doctrine 1.2

  • Installing and configuring Zend Framework 2 server-wide [Ubuntu] and test driving ZendSkeletonApplication

    - by kinologik
I'm trying to have ZF2 installed for all my subdomains at once (Ubuntu 12.04). ZF2 just launched its first stable version, so I wanted to install it on my development server and finally get my hands dirty with it. I downloaded ZF2 and unzipped the files in /var/ZF2/ (which now contains Zend/[all components]). I then edited /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini and added the path to the ZF2 files: include_path = ".:/var/ZF2" I then downloaded the ZendSkeletonApplication and unzipped it in /var/www/skeleton. I know it is suggested to composer.phar to install ZF2 application, but: I don't want to make a local installation of ZF2... I want to make a server-wide installation be able to use my Zend components on all my domains/subdomains on my development server. Before using any automatic installation process, I'd really like to understand that process by doing it manually at first. Obviously, something goes wrong when I fire ZendSkeletonApplication, and I get the following when hit the following URL: http://www.myDevServer.com/skeleton/public/ Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'RuntimeException' with message 'Unable to load ZF2. Run `php composer.phar install` or define a ZF2_PATH environment variable.' in /var/www/skeleton/init_autoloader.php:48 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/skeleton/public/index.php(9): include() #1 {main} thrown in /var/www/skeleton/init_autoloader.php on line 48 I have skimmed through the docs, tutorials and the like, but there are no straight forward answer to this kind of configuration. In the official doc, in the (very short) installation chapter, I see a reference to adding an include path in PHP. But no example... http://zf2.readthedocs.org/en/latest/ref/installation.html Once you have a copy of Zend Framework available, your application needs to be able to access the framework classes found in the library folder. Though there are several ways to achieve this, your PHP include_path needs to contain the path to Zend Framework’s library. But then, when I get to the "Getting Started" chapter, it's all composer.phar and nothing else... http://zf2.readthedocs.org/en/latest/user-guide/skeleton-application.html I'm no sysAdmin, just a Zend enthusiast. I'm pretty sure this PEBKAC problem might be obvious for those who already got in ZF2 previous betas. Thanks for helping my out. EDIT: Problem was resolved, thanks to Daniel M. Just setting up ZF2_PATH in httpd.conf was all that was needed. SetEnv ZF2_PATH /var/ZF2 I also removed the include_path reference in php.ini and everything works just fine. So I have no idea why Zend suggested to include it there in their official docs.

  • Zend_Form Creation for Propel Objects

I'm currently working on a project where I use Zend Framework with Propel. I'm looking for something that'll create Zend_Forms for Propel objects, preferably in a similar way to django's modelforms Is there anything out there that does this already, and if not, what would be the best way to go about creating something like this?

  • How can I pass extra parameters to the routeMatch object?

    - by Marcos Garcia
    I'm trying to unit test a controller, but can't figure out how to pass some extra parameters to the routeMatch object. I followed the posts from tomoram at http://devblog.x2k.co.uk/unit-testing-a-zend-framework-2-controller/ and http://devblog.x2k.co.uk/getting-the-servicemanager-into-the-test-environment-and-dependency-injection/, but when I try to dispatch a request to /album/edit/1, for instance, it throws the following exception: Zend\Mvc\Exception\DomainException: Url plugin requires that controller event compose a router; none found Here is my PHPUnit Bootstrap: class Bootstrap { static $serviceManager; static $di; static public function go() { include 'init_autoloader.php'; $config = include 'config/application.config.php'; // append some testing configuration $config['module_listener_options']['config_static_paths'] = array(getcwd() . '/config/test.config.php'); // append some module-specific testing configuration if (file_exists(__DIR__ . '/config/test.config.php')) { $moduleConfig = include __DIR__ . '/config/test.config.php'; array_unshift($config['module_listener_options']['config_static_paths'], $moduleConfig); } $serviceManager = Application::init($config)->getServiceManager(); self::$serviceManager = $serviceManager; // Setup Di $di = new Di(); $di->instanceManager()->addTypePreference('Zend\ServiceManager\ServiceLocatorInterface', 'Zend\ServiceManager\ServiceManager'); $di->instanceManager()->addTypePreference('Zend\EventManager\EventManagerInterface', 'Zend\EventManager\EventManager'); $di->instanceManager()->addTypePreference('Zend\EventManager\SharedEventManagerInterface', 'Zend\EventManager\SharedEventManager'); self::$di = $di; } static public function getServiceManager() { return self::$serviceManager; } static public function getDi() { return self::$di; } } Bootstrap::go(); Basically, we are creating a Zend\Mvc\Application environment. My PHPUnit_Framework_TestCase is enclosed in a custom class, which goes like this: abstract class ControllerTestCase extends TestCase { /** * The ActionController we are testing * * @var Zend\Mvc\Controller\AbstractActionController */ protected $controller; /** * A request object * * @var Zend\Http\Request */ protected $request; /** * A response object * * @var Zend\Http\Response */ protected $response; /** * The matched route for the controller * * @var Zend\Mvc\Router\RouteMatch */ protected $routeMatch; /** * An MVC event to be assigned to the controller * * @var Zend\Mvc\MvcEvent */ protected $event; /** * The Controller fully qualified domain name, so each ControllerTestCase can create an instance * of the tested controller * * @var string */ protected $controllerFQDN; /** * The route to the controller, as defined in the configuration files * * @var string */ protected $controllerRoute; public function setup() { parent::setup(); $di = \Bootstrap::getDi(); // Create a Controller and set some properties $this->controller = $di->newInstance($this->controllerFQDN); $this->request = new Request(); $this->routeMatch = new RouteMatch(array('controller' => $this->controllerRoute)); $this->event = new MvcEvent(); $this->event->setRouteMatch($this->routeMatch); $this->controller->setEvent($this->event); $this->controller->setServiceLocator(\Bootstrap::getServiceManager()); } public function tearDown() { parent::tearDown(); unset($this->controller); unset($this->request); unset($this->routeMatch); unset($this->event); } } And we create a Controller instance and a Request with a RouteMatch. The code for the test: public function testEditActionWithGetRequest() { // Dispatch the edit action $this->routeMatch->setParam('action', 'edit'); $this->routeMatch->setParam('id', $album->id); $result = $this->controller->dispatch($this->request, $this->response); // rest of the code isn't executed } I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Can it be any configuration for the testing bootstrap? Or should I pass the parameters in some other way? Or am I forgetting to instantiate something?

  • How to read large number of rows efficiently using Zend_Db?

Is there a simple :) and efficient way or reading very large number of rows sequentially using Zend_Db? Basically I need to process entire table, row by row. Table is large, primary key sequence is not guaranteed(i.e. not an autoincrement, but is UNSIGNED INT). What's the best way to approach this? Environment: PHP 5.2, Zend Framework 1.10, MySQL 5.1

  • Zend_Navigation failing to load

    - by Grant Collins
    Hi, Following on from my earlier question, I am still having issues with loading the xml file into Zend_Navigation. I am now getting the following error message: <b>Fatal error</b>: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Navigation_Exception' with message 'Invalid argument: Unable to determine class to instantiate' in C:\www\mysite\development\website\library\Zend\Navigation\Page.php:223 I've tried to make my navigation.xml file look similar to the example on the Zend Documentation, However I just can't seem to get it to work. My XML file looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configdata> <navigation> <default> <label>Home</label> <controller>index</controller> <action>index</action> <module>default</module> <pages> <tour> <label>Tour</label> <controller>tour</controller> <action>index</action> <module>default</module> </tour> <blog> <label></label> <uri>http://blog.mysite.com</uri> </blog> <support> <label>Support</label> <controller>support</controller> <action>index</action> <module>default</module> </support> </pages> </default> <users> <label>Home</label> <controller>index</controller> <action>index</action> <module>users</module> <role>guser</role> <resource>owner</resource> <pages> <jobmanger> <label>Job Manager</label> <controller>jobmanager</controller> <action>index</action> <module>users</module> <role>guser</role> <resource>owner</resource> </jobmanger> <myaccount> <label>My Account</label> <controller>profile</controller> <action>index</action> <role>guser</role> <resource>owner</resource> <module>users</module> <pages> <detail> <label>Account Details</label> <controller>profile</controller> <action>detail</action> <module>users</module> <role>guser</role> <resource>owner</resource> <pages> <history> <label>Account History</label> <controller>profile</controller> <action>history</action> <module>users</module> <role>guser</role> <resource>owner</resource> </history> <password> <label>Change Password</label> <controller>profile</controller> <action>changepwd</action> <module>users</module> <role>employer</role> <resource>employers</resource> </password> </pages> </detail> ... </navigation> </configdata> Now I confess that I've totally got the wrong end of the stick with this, but rapidly running out of ideas, and it's been a long week. • Strategy for storing and displaying form dropdown data for provinces, states, prefixes?

    - by meder
I'm currently migrating from a class that stores lists of countries, states & provinces in the form of arrays to using Zend's Locale data in the form of ldml xml files. These ldml files provide localised lists of countries, currencies, languages - so I'm not exactly sure where I should store US States, ( Canadian Provinces ), Prefixes - I was thinking possibly just create a generic xml file and store it in the same directory as the ldml files, but having doubts because it wouldn't really be localised as I'd store it in English. Should I go with storing it in a generic xml file, or possibly update each of the locale files ( eg en.xml ) and append them? The latter is probably not worth the work, which is why I'm swaying towards just a general.xml or dropdown-data.xml. As for generating dropdown options, I suppose I could just say, grab all US states, append the array with Canadian provinces, and append that with an 'Other' option - does this seem like the right way to go about?

  • Mysql adapter for Zend_Translate

    - by Peter
Hi everybody, I'm currently in the planning phase of a rather large project that I'll develop in the Zend Framework. One of the problems I'm facing is that the customers will want to translate not only the content but also the interface. I'm currently using gettext and poedit to manage my language files but this is not an option for the customer as they, for one, want have FTP access to the site. Hence, I'm thinking of a mysql back end with an interface in the front end for the customer to manage his own translations of the interface. There is however still no mysql adapater for Zend_Translate. So, does anybody now of an adapter script for Zend_Translate so it can work with a mysql table? Or any arguments against using mysql and possible other solutions for this problem?

  • Optimising (My)SQL Query

    - by Simon
I usually use ORM instead of SQL and I am slightly out of touch on the different JOINs... SELECT `order_invoice`.*, `client`.*, `order_product`.*, SUM(product.cost) as net FROM `order_invoice` LEFT JOIN `client` ON order_invoice.client_id = client.client_id LEFT JOIN `order_product` ON order_invoice.invoice_id = order_product.invoice_id LEFT JOIN `product` ON order_product.product_id = product.product_id WHERE (order_invoice.date_created >= '2009-01-01') AND (order_invoice.date_created <= '2009-02-01') GROUP BY `order_invoice`.`invoice_id` The tables/ columns are logically names... it's an shop type application... the query works... it's just very very slow... I use the Zend Framework and would usually use Zend_Db_Table_Row::find(Parent|Dependent)Row(set)('TableClass') but I have to make lots of joins and I thought it'll improve performance by doing it all in one query instead of hundreds... Can I improve the above query by using more appropriate JOINs or a different implementation? Many thanks.

  • How to change Zend_Db_Table name within a Model to insert in multiple tables

    - by jwhat
Using Zend Framework, I've created a Model to insert a record into a database. My question is, after $this->insert($data) how can I switch the active table so that I can insert a record into another table? • Modules and custom routes

    - by Dennis Haarbrink
I'm building a website using Zend Framework and having trouble implementing modules and custom routes. There are basically two rules: Select a module based on the domain (multiple domains can select a single module) Regardless of domain, select one specific module based on path Examples: domain1.com selects module domain1 domain1.net selects module domain1 domain2.com selects module domain2 both domain1.com/admin and domain2.com/admin select module admin This is the first project where I use ZF, so my experience with the framework is basically non-existent. I have done some dirty hacking in my bootstrapper where I check the domain and than execute Zend_Layout::startMVC() to get the correct layout, but that is messed up when I'm implementing custom routes. So I was wondering what is the best way to go about implementing this?

  • How can I generate XML application configuration using Zend_Tool?

    - by wimvds
    When creating a new project using zf create project myproject it will create a default project layout with an application.ini in the configs folder. Where can I change these default settings so that it generates (and uses) an XML file (application.xml)? I've looked at the documentation for Zend_Tool (http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.tool.html), but there seems to be no information on how to do this. And suppose you'd like to use a different default folder layout (ie. use htdocs instead of public as your document root), is there a way to specify this as well? Any pointers to relevant information (btw I've looked at the Quickstart, nothing relevant is mentioned there unless I'm overlooking it)? edit I already tried creating a profile (stored in .zf/project/profiles), and used that to create a project (using zf create project myproject myprofile) but that doesn't change anything, even though the .zfproject.xml file in the root of the new project does contain the <applicationConfigFile type="xml"/> setting... The new project contains this (as you can see, it's just the default settings, only the type of applicationConfigFile has been changed) : <?xml version="1.0"?> <projectProfile type="default" version="1.10"> <projectDirectory> <projectProfileFile filesystemName=".zfproject.xml"/> <applicationDirectory classNamePrefix="Application_"> <apisDirectory enabled="false"/> <configsDirectory> <applicationConfigFile type="xml"/> </configsDirectory> <controllersDirectory> <controllerFile controllerName="Index"> <actionMethod actionName="index"/> </controllerFile> <controllerFile controllerName="Error"/> </controllersDirectory> <formsDirectory enabled="false"/> <layoutsDirectory enabled="false"/> <modelsDirectory/> <modulesDirectory enabled="false"/> <viewsDirectory> <viewScriptsDirectory> <viewControllerScriptsDirectory forControllerName="Index"> <viewScriptFile forActionName="index"/> </viewControllerScriptsDirectory> <viewControllerScriptsDirectory forControllerName="Error"> <viewScriptFile forActionName="error"/> </viewControllerScriptsDirectory> </viewScriptsDirectory> <viewHelpersDirectory/> <viewFiltersDirectory enabled="false"/> </viewsDirectory> <bootstrapFile filesystemName="Bootstrap.php"/> </applicationDirectory> <dataDirectory enabled="false"> <cacheDirectory enabled="false"/> <searchIndexesDirectory enabled="false"/> <localesDirectory enabled="false"/> <logsDirectory enabled="false"/> <sessionsDirectory enabled="false"/> <uploadsDirectory enabled="false"/> </dataDirectory> <docsDirectory> <file filesystemName="README.txt"/> </docsDirectory> <libraryDirectory> <zfStandardLibraryDirectory enabled="false"/> </libraryDirectory> <publicDirectory> <publicStylesheetsDirectory enabled="false"/> <publicScriptsDirectory enabled="false"/> <publicImagesDirectory enabled="false"/> <publicIndexFile filesystemName="index.php"/> <htaccessFile filesystemName=".htaccess"/> </publicDirectory> <projectProvidersDirectory enabled="false"/> <temporaryDirectory enabled="false"/> <testsDirectory> <testPHPUnitConfigFile filesystemName="phpunit.xml"/> <testApplicationDirectory> <testApplicationBootstrapFile filesystemName="bootstrap.php"/> </testApplicationDirectory> <testLibraryDirectory> <testLibraryBootstrapFile filesystemName="bootstrap.php"/> </testLibraryDirectory> </testsDirectory> </projectDirectory> </projectProfile>

  • How to optimize indexing of large number of DB records using Zend_Lucene and Zend_Paginator

    - by jdichev
So I have this cron script that is deployed and ran using Cron on a host and indexes all the records in a database table - the index is later used both for the front end of the site and the backed operations as well. After the operation, the index is about 3-4 MB. The problem is it takes a lot of resources (CPU: 30+ and a good chunk of memory) and slows the machine down. My question is about how to optimize the operation described below: First there is a select query built using the Zend Framework API, this query is then passed to a Paginator factory that returns a paginator which I am using to balance the current number of items being indexed and not iterate over too much items. The script is iterating over the current items in the paginator object using a foreach loop until reaching the end and then it starts from the beginning after getting items for the next page. I am suspecting this overhead is caused by the Zend_Lucene but no idea how this could be improved.

I have been using zend studio 5.5.1 for the last year and and a half (on windows xp), with some occasional issues, such as a blank error dialog box when I started the program, but always went away when i restarted my computer, and usually got messages about javaw.exe errors. But now, the program does not open at all. What happens is, I get a little dialog that says Loading project - this is normal... but then, nothing. The zend program item is sitting in the taskbar, but when i click on it - nothing! there is nothing to show. i can right click and press close, but that is all. restarting computer did not help. i just uninstalled it, downloaded again from zend website, and reinstalled. tried opening - get loading box, seems to have loaded, even got tip of the day box. but there is nothing showing behind them. once i closed the tip box, i dont have any indication that zend is open besides the program item in the taskbar. windows task manager says it is running... anyone have a clue? help!!! thanks
