    I've edited a pps file which was made with the 2003 version and saved also as compatible with Power Point 97-2003 but a friend a mine can't see the last version of the file. The original file can be seen by my computer friend. What can I do to make the new version of the pps file to be viewable on the computer of my friend? Any tips? Where/what else do I have to check/do ?

  • Can I make Thunderbird load different email accounts one after the other instead of all at the same

    I use Thunderbird 3 on Vista. I use it for 3 POP accounts. When I start work in the morning, all three accounts are checked at the same time, and all emails are being loaded simultaneously. I think Thunderbird is quite slow in general, and this behaviour makes it even worse. At least it makes me feel so. Can I tell Thunderbird to check the accounts and load the emails one after the other?

  • ldap not properly resolving host

    Hi, I just changed the IP address of my (openldap) ldap server and despite DNS propagating, ldap still isn't resolving the new address correctly. When I run "host myserver.com" the proper ip address is returned. There is no entry in /etc/hosts for myserver.com. But when I run: ldapsearch -d 1 -x "uid" -H ldap://myserver.com I see the old address. How can I force ldap to check DNS for the proper IP address? thanks, Mike

    When I try to print any page from Chrome on my Windows 7 machine, I get the following message. click to enlarge By the way, the gray text in the middle reads Google Chrome cannot show the print preview when the built-in PDF viewer is disabled. In order to see the preview please visit chrome//plugins/, enable the Chrome PDF Viewer, and try again. When I check my plugins, I find that Chrome PDF Viewer is already enabled. Why can't I print?

  • Finding mail with Lotus Notes 7

    I did some reorganisation of my mail in Lotus Notes 7 this mornign, and seem to have lost some in the process. Not knowing Notes very well, I have two questions: if I selected some mail in the Inbox using the check-column, and dragged that mail into a folder, then selected some more mail in the Inbox, and hit the Del key, will the group of emails that were dragged into the other folder be deleted too, because I didn't unselect them? is there a way to search in all folders, rather than just the current folder?

I can click Continue to this website (not recommended). but I use IE for automation testing so I have to avoid these extra clicks. Any idea?     If an office workstation is turned on, either in wake/sleep/logged off/logged in mode, is it possible to remote desktop into that workstation given that I have full admin priviledge to the Windows Server and Active Directory governing the authentication?   • Python to see if a file falls into a date range

    I have a script that I want to have an if statement check if a file falls between several specified date periods as it searches directories. I have been able to get the time in %Y-%m-%d format for the file, but I can't seem to be able to specify a date range for python to go through. Any ideas/help? Is openssl not installed? $ yum install openssl Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit Package 1:openssl-1.0.1e-4.fc18.x86_64 already installed and latest version Nothing to do Its there.... ??? wth Fedora?

  • Can "tar" backup incrementally?

    I have my home folder with a few GB. Is it possible to run tar on it, create a home.tar.gz, and then for changed files, it creates home1.tar.gz only with modified files from previous tar (thus being an incremental backup)? I would like to check the resulting checksum files and export them as well like home.md5, home1.md5, etc. (I know this could be another process, but interesting as well).

  • Cant access websites internally but can externally, happened all of a sudden on Windows Server 2008

    Without any type of change I can access sites from within my server, not even Google. I can access them externally. I have no idea where to start. My internet Lan Settings are set to automatic and not to proxy. Nothing was changed on my end, how can I diagnose this issue?   • W3WP Process at 100% Utilization

    We're seeing an issue on our production servers where the processor is constantly at 100% utilization (between 2 or 3 w3wp processes). The weird thing is that there are almost no requests to the server, and the application associated with the offending processes is still performing well. By looking at IISPeek, almost nothing is happening on the server, so I'm not sure what else to check. Has anyone run into something like this? Thanks!
