  I have a route defined as below. $route['manage-vehicles'] = new Zend_Controller_Router_Route( 'vehicles/manage/page/:page', array( 'controller' => 'vehicles', 'action' => 'manage', 'page' => '1' ) ); When the 'page' parameter is not specifically defined (e.g. in a menu constructed using the navigation component), the resultant URL is /vehicles/manage/page I would much prefer or the URL not to to display the default paramater key in this scenario i.e. /vehicles/manage Any ideas how to accomplish this would be appreciated?   I am using dataTables plugin for a table on a page I am working on. Its basically fetching rows through an ajax call and in this ajax call, I send the search params that the user selects and the page number required. I need the Next, Previous, First and Last buttons to also fire the same ajax call, but with different page numbers, as the back-end interceptor depends on the page number. This api call would return total no. of rows(say 1000) belonging for these search params and the rows with the page size( say 50). Is there any way, I can use data table to do this?

• Should i use TabContainer for multiple pages?

  I'm considering if it is a good idea to use an ASP.Net TabContainer-Control in the way that every TabPanel contains content of a different page. For example: Next i want to implement in my application is the masterdata management. Normally i would create one aspx page for every masterdata-table (f.e. Customer - MD_Customer.aspx). Then i would add a link into my Menu to this page. Now i'm thinking of creating one aspx page for all(Masterdata.aspx) with a Tabcontainer and an UpdatePanel for every type of Masterdata. The link it the menu could have an additional MDType as URL-Parameter. My main concerns are related to performance(one "page" for every TabPanel currently means 7 "pages" in one) and maintainability because of increasing complexity. Is it a good approach or a bad idea? When a user scrolls past it, I would like the div to "follow" the user in that it attaches to the top of the screen. When the user returns to the top of the page, I want it back in its original position. • Need url's to be non secure when moving away from a secured link (without hardcoded url's in html)?

  I have an asp.net site. It has an order form which is accessible at https://secure.example.com/order.aspx. The links on the site do not include the domain name. So for example the home page is 'default.aspx'. The issue is that if I click on a link like the home page from the secure page, the url becomes https://secure.example.com/default.aspx instead of http://www.example.com/default.aspx. What's a good way to handle this? The scheme should automatically work using any domain name based on where it's launched from. So if the site is launched from 'localhost', moving away from the secured page, the url's should be http://localhost/... The navigation links are in a master page.

  I have a wicket Application that has long lived Pages. I would like each instance of this Page to be created with a unique PageMap for reasons I won't get into here, but when I try to specify a PageMap on the constructor of my Page I end up getting OOM and StackOverflow errors. Here is the code: public <CTOR>() { super(Session.get().newPageMap("" + System.currentTimeMillis())); ... I'm using a custom BookmarkablePageLink (custom in that it does not pass on the current PageMap name to the new Page) to effectively abandon the old Page/PageMap and create a new one with a new PageMap. The errors seem to be coming from page serialization after only two or three pages have been created. Can anyone find issue with this approach?

  I'm looking to implement a property class for appengine, very similar to the existing db.ReferenceProperty. I am implementing my own version because I want some other default return values. My question is, how do I make the property remember its returned value, so that the datastore query is only performed the first time the property is fetched? What I had is below, and it does not work. I read that the Property classes do not belong to the instances, but to the model definition, so I guess that the return value is not cached for each instance, but overwritten on the model every time.   I cannot figure out what is wrong with the XPATH when trying to extract a value from a webpage table.   We have an ASP.NET MVC application + IIS 7.5 + SQL Server 2008 R2. We have to load a lot of aggregate counters on the each page. We decided to use ajax and call with javascript for each counter or groups of counters and return them as JSON result. We solve the problem that user doesn't wait for page loading, page loads fast. User waits for counters loading while seeing other page content. But we thought that if we make calls from javascript - our queries will be make async, but we notice, that it is not. All our javascipt calls runs immediately, but action that they invoke are in queue. If we use Async Controller ability - all counters calculating simultaneously, but user has to wait for the longest counter calculating before page loads. The question: We want to understand what is happens if we use ajax and call two or more actions simultaneously. And how can we configuring this. (also in each action we make some queries to sql server)

What kind of models would you create for the following simple example: list page of blog entries: shows part of the entry data, number of comments blog entry page: shows all the entry data, comment list (with part of the comment data) comment page: shows all the comment data I'm trying to get this right so that it's simple and effective. I don't want to load too much information (from the db) on the pages where I don't need them. E.g. should the same entry model handle both multiple entries as well as a single entry? And how should the comments be loaded? I only need the number of comments on the multiple entries (list) page but some of the comment data on the single entry page. How would you handle this?

This link should take the user back to the page where they came from only if the previous page URL matches one of the following: http://mydomain.com/one.html, http://mydomain.com/two.html, and http://mydomain.com/three.html. Otherwise, it would take the user back to the homepage, http://mydomain.com. Since it basically has to do the same thing, is there a way to call the first one from the second one to reduce code duplication, or do you have to set up a third method to do the common tasks?   I am trying to write a JavaScript script that is "overlayed" on top of a Facebook page. It uses DOMContentLoaded to detect when content is loaded, then adds some extra stuff in. However, because Facebook doesn't actually "reload" the page when going to a new page (it just uses AJAX), the DOMContentLoaded handler doesn't run again, even though there is new stuff to look through. Anyway, to detect the change, I thought about using onhashchange since Facebook used to change the page's hash, but in Firefox 4 (I need to support Firefox 3 and later with this, but no other browsers), Facebook doesn't change the hash anymore and in pre-Firefox 3.6 there is no onhashchange. I thought about using DOMNodeInserted, but would that really slow down the page? (I really can't have any slowdowns in this script.)

The "page1.html" also has a link in it that is supposed to ajaxload another page ("page2.html") into "targetdiv" (onto itself), like so: page1.html: (in "targetdiv") $("#targetdiv").html(loading).load('page2.html'); This does not work; "html(loading)" comes up in "targetdiv" and stays there, "page2.html" is not loaded.   The query is: SELECT * FROM `news` ORDER BY `id` LIMIT ($curr_page * 5), ( ($curr_page * 5) + 5 ) Where $curr_page is a php variable which is getting a value from $_GET['page'] I want to make a pagination (5 news on each page), but I don't know why the mysql is returning me extra values. On the first page the result ok: $curr_page = 0 The query would be: SELECT * FROM `news` ORDER BY `id` LIMIT 0, 5 But on the second page, the result from the query is adding extra news, 10 instead of 5. The query on the second page: SELECT * FROM `news` ORDER BY `id` LIMIT 5, 10 Whats wrong? Why the result has 10 values instead of 5? Thank you!

  I have a table: id, affiliate Each time somebody clicks a link, a new row is inserted, ID being the ID of the page, and affiliate being the ID of the affiliate. For example: Page ID: 9 Affiliate ID: 1 Page ID: 9 Affiliate ID: 2 Page ID: 9 Affiliate ID: 3 I only have 3 affiliates. I want to select this information, and group them by affiliate, for the ID. I have tried this query: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE id = '9' GROUP BY affiliate It works fine when I do it in php my admin, how do I get the info in PHP? I have tried: $q = mysql_query("SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table WHERE id = '" . $id . "' GROUP BY affiliate"); $r = mysql_fetch_array($q); When trying to print the data onto the page, I am only getting one result. Do I need to use a foreach/while loop to get all 3? How would I go about doing this? Thank you!

• Is this a php memory leak?

  I have memory_get_usage() in the footer of my page and with each refresh of the page, I watch it increase by about 100k each time. My page load creates many objects and destroys them when done . My parent objects each have __destruct() which uses unset() with all child objects. Child objects with a reference back to the parent, have __destruct() to unset() these references. Inserting memory_get_usage() before and after processing different parts of my page only tells me how much of the total usage was added due to that part of the script. How do I go about determining what memory is lost and not recycled for garbage collection after the page finishes loading? I have one global $_SESSION var containing objects storing user info, but have verified using strlen(serialize($object)) that this object is not growing in size. I presume that what I am seeing is a memory leak and that php garbage collection should be in effect after the script ends. Any ideas how to debug this?
