• How can I use Object Oriented Javascript to interact with HTML Objects

  I am very new to object orientated javascript, with experience writing gui's in python and java. I am trying to create html tables that I can place in locations throughout a webpage. Each html table would have two css layouts that control if it is selected or not. I can write all of the interaction if I only have one table. It gets confusing when I have multiple tables. I am wondering how to place these tables throughout a blank webpage and then access the tables individually. I think I am having trouble understanding how inheritance and hierarchy works in javascript/html. NOTE: I am not asking how to make a table. I am trying to dynamically create multiple tables and place them throughout a webpage. Then access their css independently and change it (move them to different locations or change the way the look, independently of the other tables).

  I'm building a typical web app where once a user signs up they access the app through their own subdomain (company.myapp.com). The "checking what kind of user if any is logged in" piece is starting to get very hairy and it obviously needs to be well-written because its run so often so I was wondering how you guys would re-factor this stuff. • How can I tell xCode to recheck project resources that have been modified?

  I'm working with a designer friend on an iPhone app and he likes to refine all sorts of images relating to the project we're working on. All these images have been added to the project previously (and added to the project folder by xcode) and then are modified in their new location. When I preview the images in xCode, the updated images show up but building and running in the simulator or on a device doesn't pick up the new image. In fact, if I do a clean build it seems to ignore the image all together and blank spaces appear where images should be. Now, I can delete these files from the project and re-add them and everything works peachy again. But there are a lot of them and I'd rather not do that every time an image is updated. Is there a way to get xCode to review and "learn" about these modified images? Is there a good reason for why it's not doing that automatically?

  Hello, As the question states, i have implemented my first ICallbackEventHandler. In my c# callback function i use: Page.Validate("ENewsLetter2"); if (Page.IsValid) { if (!RegularExpressionValidatorEmail.IsValid) { sInvalidMessage += "Invalid E-Mail address.\n"; } return sInvalidMessage; } everytime i check the RegularExpressionValidatorEmail, the value is = "". I do not know if this is since the iCallbackEventHandler is asynchronous, the validator has not talked to the server yet so the value will always show up blank? Is it impossible to do what i am trying to do by using a iCallbackEventHandler?

• What are some ways to identify a logged in user on the web?

  Here is the scenario: There are 5 websites (different domain names) that need to share a session. I am using a bit of code on each site which returns a "blank.gif" image and at the same time sets the session (syncing it up to the current session). Each of the sites calls a session-img from each of the other sites. Also, all sites have access to the same database (where the session is stored). This works great on FF and Chrome, but not on IE (or Safari PC)... I need to come up with an alternative method to keep a session active? The app is a small custom CMS, so really only 2-3 people will be using it. I can probably identify user logins by IP and then continue to check for the IP accross all sites... Is there something more granular such as a computer uuid that i can check for?

  Basically I have a Segmented Controller on my NavBar right in the middle. What I want to be able to do is hide the Segmented Controller and add a title to the navigation bar. But with my code, the segmented controller is being hidden, but the title will not add, thus leaving a blank NavBar.   I have an html page that is generated by a CMS. I cannot modify the page, but can add JavaScript. Each time the page loads, a JavaScript function (that I cannot modify) dynamically inserts a paragraph onto the page. How can I use JQuery to .remove() that paragraph whenever it is loaded? For example, when the page first loads, it look like this (blank): <div></div> Then, a few seconds later, a JavaScript function (that I have no control over) adds a paragraph to the page. The page then looks like this: <div><p id="foo">bar</p></div> How can I use JQuery to remove the paragraph with id=foo each time it is dynamically loaded onto the page?

• Load DOM before css?

  My jQuery code sets the height of an element to 0px as soon as the page loads, then animates it to 500px. In my CSS, this element is already set to 500px (in case anyone has javascript turned off). I tried 'DEFER' on the tag where I link to the stylesheet so that the CSS loads in last of all, but that causes a blank white page to show up between navigating through pages - which I don't want, because I lose the smooth page transition effects that I am after. Is there a way that I can set the height in the CSS to 0px and IF javascript IS turned off, have it set to 500px, perhaps? :\ That's what I'm after, in effect. Any ideas? Many thanks for your help.

• Ttstyledtextlabel does not draw properly when text property is assigned multiple times

  I have A ttstyledtextlabel in my uitableview cell. It has got some web URLs for images which are being rendered. But since images take some time to download i reload the cell after sometime to render the images if they have been downloaded. The problem I am facing is that during subsequent assignment of text if the size of the label changes, happens when images have been successfully loaded the label does not render properly but rather blanks out. But I see the proper label when is scroll and come back to the cell again. Anyone faced this issue or simply when the following line is executed multiple times, the Styled Label goes blank StyledView.text = [TTStyledText textFromXHTML:[self getStyledText] lineBreaks:YES URLs:YES];

• Change the value of a dropdown if it is equal to something

  Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered, but I couldn't find anything specifically for my needs. I have a form that has placeholders and javascript to make sure the form isn't submitted with the placeholders still there. There is a dropdown box that has the value of 'Best time to call'. What I want to do is if this value is passed as the default, I want it to change to something like "n/a" or a blank value. I have achieved this with the comments box using the following javascript, but it doesn't seem to work the same for the dropdown: var comments=document.getElementById('comments').value; if (comments=="Comments") { document.getElementById('comments').value=""; } This isn't a required field so I can't have an alert come up, so I just need to value to be changed if submitted as 'Best time to call'. • Why does Visual Studio's "Unused References..." button not flag System.Xml and System.Xml.Linq?

  I was trying to finish up a VB.NET class library project when I tried to remove all unused references. I know for a fact that I'm not explicitly using any thing from the System.Xml and System.Xml.Linq assemblies yet the "Unused References..." button never flags them for removal. In fact I even tried "Unused References..." on a blank project and it still never flagged them. The only reason I could think of is that either mscorlib.dll or System.dll is using System.Xml.dll or System.Xml.Linq.dll. Are they safe to remove?

• App closes after facebook login in IOS 5

  I am using facebook sdk 3.1 framework for my application. The login process works successfully and returns to the app after facebook login both in simulator(iOS 6.0 and 5.0) and in iPad(iOS 6). But When the same is deployed in IPad with IOS 5, after login, it does not return back to my application and shows a blank white Screen or sometimes my application closes. I dont know what went wrong in iOS 5 and facebook sdk 3.1 framework, also i am not getting any logs to debug... • Rails + Passenger CSS problem

  I'm trying to deploy my first Rails app. At first, I was getting the following error: ActionView::TemplateError (Permission denied) I set the permissions of the stylesheets folder to 777 (just for now until I work out what's going wrong) and the application started to work. However, it is not picking up any of the stylesheets (everything is displayed in plain text). If I view the source code and click the CSS links, I just get a blank page. Javascripts however, seem to be working just fine. VHost Config: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName xxxx.xxx.com DocumentRoot /home/myapp/public <Directory /home/myapp/public> Allow from All AllowOverride all Options -MultiViews </Directory> </VirtualHost> Can anyone help?   I'm trying to scrape some content off another site and I'm not sure why BeautifulSoup is producing this output. It is only finding a blank space inside the match, but the real HTML contains a large amount of markup. I apologize if this is something stupid on my part. I'm new to python. • Google Maps zoom level in iphone objective c

I am working on the google maps integration in iphone (objective C). i am calculating zoom level dynamically so that two map points fits the iphone screen. it is good for locations very far, but i have issue that if two locations are very near to each other the zoom level then the images go blank and does not show anything other than blurred image, which i dont want. i want that if location are very near then there should be some default level zoom that should be called or fitted in, so that images wont blur.
