  • Redirect in codeigniter after login

    - by edelweiss
    Trying to do a redirect after a successful login. The login info is sent using ajax to the controller. My controller code as below public function login_controller_function() { $this->load->model('login_model'); if ($this->input->is_ajax_request()) { $user_name=$this->input->post('username'); $user_password = $this->input->post('password'); $this->load->helper('url'); $result = $this->login_model->verify_user($user_name,$user_password); // echo 'user_logged_in'; if(strcmp($result,'user_logged_in')==0) { redirect('welcome'); } } } But it is not working at all. Anyone knows whats wrong? Hi my html as requested. i am using twitter bootstrap as well <li class="divider-vertical"></li> <li><a href="#" id="login_btn">Login</a></li> <li><a href="<?php echo base_url('register'); ?>">Register</a></li> for the buttons so when i click the login button, a modal window will appear and ask for login info. so when i click on the login button, my js code will send an ajax request my js code as below /*Attempt register user jquery ajax*/ $('#login').click(function(){ var user_name = $('#loginHere').find('#user_name').val(); var user_password = $('#loginHere').find('#login_pwd').val(); if(user_name==""||user_password=="") return; var login_data = { username:user_name, password:user_password}; $.ajax({ type: "POST", dataType: "json", async: false, url:"login_register/login_controller_function", data: login_data, success: function(data) { if(data.login) { alert(data.redirect); window.location.replace(data.redirect); } else if(!data.login) { alert('data login not true'); } }, error:function(data){ alert('ajax error'); } }); }); });

  • images not showing up in tab body on class change in IE

    - by user347352
    I can't get any images to show up when I'm using IE with these makeshift tabs I made, everything shows up and space is allocated for the image but the image doesn't show up when I change the class. I'm using the css property visiblity to make it work. function findJournalId(d){ var parent=jQuery(d).parent(); while(!parent.hasClass("journal-content-article")) { parent=parent.parent(); } var parentID=parent.attr("id"); var ret="#"+parentID.replace(/(:|\.)/g,"\\$1"); return ret; };/*]]>*/ </script> </head> <body> <div class="journal-content-article" id="article_66742_350610_1.0"> <ul id="newsTabs"> <li class="tab"> <a class="1">first tab</a> </li> <li class="tab"> <a class="2">second tab</a> </li> <li class="tab"> <a class="3">third tab</a> </li> </ul> <div class="news 1"> This is the first portlet <img width="200px" src="banner head.jpg" /> </div> <div class="news 2"> what up 2 </div> <div class="news 3"> hello 3 </div>

  • WebGL pass array shader

    - by user987058
    I'm new to WebGL and I'm facing some problems of the shaders. I wanna do multiple light sources in the scene. I searched online and knew that in WebGL, you can't pass an array into the fragment shader, so the only way is use the texture. Here is the problem I can't figure out. First, I create a 32x32 texture using the following code: var pix = []; for(var i=0;i<32;i++) { for(var j=0;j<32;j++) pix.push(0.8,0.8,0.1); } gl.activeTexture(gl.TEXTURE0); gl.bindTexture(gl.TEXTURE_2D, lightMap); gl.pixelStorei(gl.UNPACK_ALIGNMENT,1); gl.texImage2D(gl.TEXTURE_2D, 0, gl.RGB, 32,32,0, gl.RGB, gl.UNSIGNED_BYTE,new Float32Array(pix)); gl.texParameteri(gl.TEXTURE_2D, gl.TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER, gl.LINEAR); gl.texParameteri(gl.TEXTURE_2D, gl.TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, gl.LINEAR); gl.uniform1i(g_loader.program.set_uniform["u_texture2"],0); But however, when I tried to access the texture in the shader: [Fragment Shader] varying vec2 v_texcoord; uniform sampler2D u_texture2; void main(void) { vec3 lightLoc = texture2D(u_texture, v_texcoord).rgb; gl_FragData[0] = vec4(lightLoc,1.0); } The result is totally black. Is there anyone knows how to acces or create the texture correctly?

  • How should I be using IoC in this winform piece of code?

    - by Pure.Krome
    Hi folks, I've got a winform app in visual studio 2010. My app does the following Get a list of files which I need to read the data then insert into a database. For each file, read data and insert into DB. So .. this is the code i have. var list = _repository.GetFileList(); if (list != null) { int i = 0; foreach(var file in list) { i++; var service = new MyService(i, _repository); service.ParseAndSave(); } } So i was hoping to have a new repository for each 'service' i create. Firstly, i'm not sure if I should be using IoC in this case. I believe I should be because then i don't need to tightly couple this winform to a repository. Secondly, I've tried using a Singleton repo, which I don't want and can confirm that it kills that code (crashes with an exception). Some other notes (which shouldn't impact this question) - Using Entity Framework for ASP.NET 4. - Using StructureMap for IoC Can someone help, please?

  • Accessing both stored procedure output parameters AND the result set in Entity Framework?

    - by MS.
    Is there any way of accessing both a result set and output parameters from a stored procedure added in as a function import in an Entity Framework model? I am finding that if I set the return type to "None" such that the designer generated code ends up calling base.ExecuteFunction(...) that I can access the output parameters fine after calling the function (but of course not the result set). Conversely if I set the return type in the designer to a collection of complex types then the designer generated code calls base.ExecuteFunction<T>(...) and the result set is returned as ObjectResult<T> but then the value property for the ObjectParameter instances is NULL rather than containing the proper value that I can see being passed back in Profiler. I speculate the second method is perhaps calling a DataReader and not closing it. Is this a known issue? Any work arounds or alternative approaches? Edit My code currently looks like public IEnumerable<FooBar> GetFooBars( int? param1, string param2, DateTime from, DateTime to, out DateTime? createdDate, out DateTime? deletedDate) { var createdDateParam = new ObjectParameter("CreatedDate", typeof(DateTime)); var deletedDateParam = new ObjectParameter("DeletedDate", typeof(DateTime)); var fooBars = MyContext.GetFooBars(param1, param2, from, to, createdDateParam, deletedDateParam); createdDate = (DateTime?)(createdDateParam.Value == DBNull.Value ? null : createdDateParam.Value); deletedDate = (DateTime?)(deletedDateParam.Value == DBNull.Value ? null : deletedDateParam.Value); return fooBars; }

  • Undefined test not working in javascript.

    - by James South
    I'm getting the error 'foo' is undefined. in my script when i test my function with an undefined parameter. As far as I understand, This shouldn't be happening. My calling code: //var foo var test = peachUI().stringIsNullOrEmpty(foo) ; My function (part of a larger framework). stringIsNullOrEmpty: function (testString) { /// <summary> /// Checks to see if a given string is null or empty. /// </summary> /// <param name="testString" type="String"> /// The string check against. /// </param> /// <returns type="Boolean" /> var $empty = true; if (typeof testString !== "undefined") { if (testString && typeof testString === "string") { if (testString.length > 0) { $empty = false; } } } return $empty; } Any ideas? Please note. I've had a good read of other similar questions before posting this one.

  • Is it okay to rely on javascript for menu layout?

    - by Ryan
    I have a website template where I do not know the number of menu items or the size of the menu items that will be required. The js below works exactly the way I want it to, however this is the most js I've every written. Are there any disadvantages or potential problems with this method that I'm not aware of because I'm a js beginner? I'm currently manually setting the padding for each site. Thank you! var width_of_text = 0; var number_of_li = 0; // measure the width of each <li> and add it to the total with, increment li counter $('li').each(function() { width_of_text += $(this).width(); number_of_li++; }); // calculate the space between <li>'s so the space is equal var padding = Math.floor((900 - width_of_text)/(number_of_li - 1)); // add the padding the all but the first <li> $('li').each(function(index) { if (index !== 0) { $(this).css("padding-left", padding); } });

  • JavaScript: When does JavaScript evaluate a function, onload or when the function is called?

    - by Benj
    When does JavaScript evaluate a function? Is it on page load or when the function is called? The reason why I ask is because I have the following code: function scriptLoaded() { // one of our scripts finished loading, detect which scripts are available: var jQuery = window.jQuery; var maps = window.google && google.maps; if (maps && !requiresGmaps.called) { requiresGmaps.called = true; requiresGmaps(); } if (jQuery && !requiresJQuery.called) { requiresJQuery.called = true; requiresJQuery(); } if (maps && jQuery && !requiresBothJQueryGmaps.called) { requiresBothJQueryGmaps.called = true; requiresBothJQueryGmaps(); } } // asynch download of script function addScript(url) { var script = document.createElement('script'); script.src = url; // older IE... script.onreadystatechange=function () { if (this.readyState == 'complete') scriptLoaded.call(this); } script.onload=scriptLoaded; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script); } addScript('http://google.com/gmaps.js'); addScript('http://jquery.com/jquery.js'); // define some function dependecies function requiresJQuery() { // create JQuery objects } function requiresGmaps() { // create Google Maps object, etc } function requiresBothJQueryGmaps() { ... } What I want to do is perform asynchronous download of my JavaScript and start at the earliest possible time to begin executing those scripts but my code has dependencies on when the scripted have been obviously downloaded and loaded. When I try the code above, it appears that my browser is still attempting to evaluate code within my require* functions even before those functions have been called. Is this correct? Or am I misunderstanding what's wrong with my code?

  • actionscript 3 website load movieclips (frames) from library

    - by steve
    Here is my current code that doesn't function: import flash.display.*; import fl.transitions.*; import flash.events.MouseEvent; stop(); var contentBox:MovieClip = new MovieClip(); contentBox.width = 400; contentBox.height = 500; contentBox.x = 400; contentBox.y = 0; var closeBtn:close_btn = new close_btn(); closeBtn.x = 850; closeBtn.y = 15; var bagLink:MovieClip = new bag_link_mc(); bagLink.x = 900; bagLink.y = 0; menu_bag_button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, bagClick); function bagClick(event:MouseEvent):void{ if(MovieClip(root).currentFrame == 835) { } else { MovieClip(root).addChild (contentBox); MovieClip(root).contentBox.addChild (bagLink); MovieClip(root).contentBox.addChild (closeBtn); MovieClip(root).gotoAndPlay(806); } } closeBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, closeBag); function closeBag (event:MouseEvent):void{ MovieClip(root).removeChild(contentBox); MovieClip(root).gotoAndPlay(850); } I don't know ActionScript at all, so this may be the complete wrong way of approaching it. The setup is as follows: site loads, there's a big menu in the center (frame 805). When you click on a menu item from there, the whole menu moves to the side, and the right side I want a "contentBox" movieclip, filled with "bagLink" (which is site content) and to have a close button (closeBtn.) It also needs to know that if you click the same link again on the left side that it doesn't reanimate, it just stays (which I achieved with the "if" statement.) Finally, if someone clicks another link, it needs to clear "contentBox" and refill it with whatever movieClip that was clicked. I know this is a lot to ask, but I'm in dire need of help as this is due on Wednesday...

  • Changing style sheets depending on useragent

    - by John Vasiliou
    <script language="Javascript"> var deviceIphone = "iPhone"; var deviceIpod = "iPod"; //Initialize our user agent string to lower case. var uagent = navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase(); //************************** // Detects if the current device is an iPhone. function DetectiPhone() { if (uagent.search(deviceIphone) > -1) {document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ui/mobile/css/site.css">'); } etc... Above is the start of my code. I am trying to change the CSS file depending on what platform the user is using. I currently use media="screen ... " but it doesn't work with the amount of platforms I'm trying to use. I need something a lot more detailed/complex that is why I'm turning to useragents. Any ideas why the css file doesn't change on my iPhone using the above code? Better yet, any ideas on another way to change style sheets depending on the users platform/screen resolution?

  • Concatenate an each loop inside another

    - by Lothar
    I want to to concatenate the results of a jquery each loop inside of another but am not getting the results I expect. $.each(data, function () { counter++; var i = 0; var singlebar; var that = this; tableRow = '<tr>' + '<td>' + this.foo + '</td>' + $.each(this.bar, function(){ singlebar = '<td>' + that.bar[i].baz + '</td>'; tableRow + singlebar; }); '</tr>'; return tableRow; }); The portion inside the nested each does not get added to the string that is returned. I can console.log(singlebar) and get the expected results in the console but I cannot concatenate those results inside the primary each loop. I have also tried: $.each(this.bar, function(){ tableRow += '<td>' + that.bar[i].baz + '</td>'; }); Which also does not add the desired content. How do I iterate over this nested data and add it in the midst of the table that the primary each statement is building?

  • HTML form never calls Javascript

    - by user1205577
    I have a set of radio buttons defined in HTML like so: <input type="radio" name="group" id="rad1" value="rad1" onClick="doStuff(this.id)">Option 1<br> <input type="radio" name="group" id="rad2" value="rad2" onClick="doStuff(this.id)">Option 2<br> Just before the </body> tag, I have the following JavaScript behavior defined: <script type="text/javascript"> /*<![CDATA[*/ function doStuff(var id){ alert("Doing stuff!"); } /*]]>*/ </script> When I run the program, the page loads as expected in my browser window and the radio buttons allow me to click them. The doStuff() function, however, is never called (I validated this using breakpoints as well). I also tried the following just to see if inline made the difference, but it seems the JavaScript is never called at all: <script type="text/javascript"> /*<![CDATA[*/ alert("JavaScript called!"); main(); function main(){ var group = document.getElementsByName('group'); for(var i=0; i<group.length; i++){ group[i].onclick = function(){ doStuff(this.id); }; } } /*]]>*/ </script> My question is, is there something special I need to do using HTML and JavaScript in this context? My question is not whether I should be using inline function calls or whether this is your favorite way to write code.

  • Dynamic jQuery dialog after data append w/o reloading page. Possible?

    - by Arun
    Howdy, So I have a page with an enormous table in a CRUD interface of sorts. Each link within a span calls a jQuery UI Dialog Form which fetches it's content from another page. When the action taking place (in this case, a creation) has completed, it appends the resulting new data to the table and forces a resort of the table. This all happens within the JS and the DOM. The problem with this, is that the new table row's CRUD links don't actually trigger the dialog form creation as all the original links in spans are only scanned on document.ready and since I'm not reloading the page, the new links cannot be seen. Code is as follows: $(document).ready(function() { var $loading = $('<img src="/images/loading.gif" alt="Loading">'); $('span a').each(function() { var $dialog = $('<div></div>') .append($loading.clone()); var $link = $(this).one('click', function() { // Dialog Stuff success: function(data) { $('#studies tbody').append( '<tr>' + '<td><span><a href="./?action=update&study=' + data.study_id + '" title="Update Study">Update</a></span></td>' + '</tr>' ); fdTableSort.init(#studies); // This re-sorts the table. $(this).dialog('close'); } $link.click(function() { $dialog.dialog('open'); return false; }); return false; }); }); }); Basically, my question is if there is any way in which to trigger a jQuery re-evaluation of the pages links without forcing me to do a browser page refresh?

  • Why isn't this json/jquery function returning 10 results and why does it return 0 sometimes?

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys, quick question. I have a json function returning results from a php query but it is not working out because it seems to keep executing the query until all results are returned and sometimes returns 0 results (if I keep refreshing page, it returns 0 results sometimes). I want to limit results returned to 10 so I was wondering if anyone could point out the error of my code. Would really appreciate it. PS I am positive the query is returning the correct results and only 10 on its own. It just seems to be this one function that is not working out. SELECT time, user, comment FROM comments WHERE topic_id='$topic_id' ORDER BY time DESC LIMIT 10 var count=0; function prepare(response) { count++; var string = '<li class="list" id="list-'+count+'">' +'</li>'; return string; } $.getJSON(files+"comments.php?action=view&load=initial&topic_id="+topic_id+"&t=" + (new Date()), function(json) { if(json.length) { for(i=0; i < json.length; i++) { $('#shoutbox-list').prepend(prepare(json[i])); $('#list-' + count).fadeIn(1500); } var j = i-1; lastTime = json[j].time; } });

  • In Safari, using jQuery a Form Input Text Field does not receive focus after alert is displayed. Why

    - by Rob
    I have an ASPX web form. I use jQuery to simply my Javascript. I use a Javascript validation script to validate each of the form fields' values. If an error occurs, I popup an alert with an error message. Then I transfer focus to the underlying element. Here are examples I have tried. Using jQuery: var Form_FieldDef = function(name) { this.name = name; this.SetFocus = function() { $('#' + this.name)[0].focus(); } this.Validate = function() { var isvalid = true; if ( $.trim($('#' + this.name).val()) == '') { alert("Your entry is empty"); this.SetFocus(); isvalid = false; } return isvalid; } } This works on IE7, IE8, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. It does not work on Safari 4 on PC. I don't have a Mac. So I changed the SetFocus method to this. this.SetFocus = function() { var fld = document.getElementById(this.name); if (fld != null) fld.focus(); } This works on IE7, IE8, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. It does not work on Safari 4 on PC. I stepped through the code with VS 2008 debugger, and I'm calling the focus method on the underlying element.

  • Mongodb, linq driver. How to construct Contains with variable or statements

    - by Syska
    I'm using the LINQ Driver for C#, works great. Sorting a lot of properties but heres a problem I can't solve, its probebly simple. var identifierList = new []{"10", "20", "30"}; var newList = list.Where(x => identifierList.Contains(x.Identifier)); This is NOT supported ... So I could do something like: var newList = list.Where(x => x.Identifier == "10" || x.Identifier == "20" || x.Identifier == "30"); But since the list is variable ... how do I construct the above? Or are there even better alternatives? The list is of type IQueryable<MyCustomClass> For information ... this is used as a filter of alot of properties. In SQL I could have a parent - child relationship. But as I can't as the parent for the main ID I need to take all the ID's out and then construct it like this. Hopes this makes sense. If needed I will explain more.

  • How to delete the first child of an element but referenced by $(this) in Jquery?

    - by Raja
    The scenario is I have two Divs one is where I select items (divResults) and it goes to the next div (divSelectedContacts). When I select it I place a tick mark next to it. What I want to do is when I select it again I want to remove the tick mark and also remove the element from divSelectedContacts. • Listing all objects that share a common variable in Javascript

    - by ntgCleaner
    I'm not exactly sure how to ask this because I am just learning OOP in Javascript, but here it goes: I am trying to be able to make a call (eventually be able to sort) for all objects with the same variable. Here's an example below: function animal(name, numLegs, option2, option3){ this.name = name; this.numLegs = numLegs; this.option2 = option2; this.option3 = option3; } var human = new animal(Human, 2, example1, example2); var horse = new animal(Horse, 4, example1, example2); var dog = new animal(Dog, 4, example1, example2); Using this example, I would like to be able to do a console.log() and show all animal NAMES that have 4 legs. (Should only show Horse and Dog, of course...) I eventually want to be able to make a drop-down list or a filtered search list with this information. I would do this with php and mySQL but I'm doing this for the sake of learning OOP in javascript. I only ask here because I don't exactly know what to ask. Thank you!

  • Get element id on hover (or mouseover)

    - by Peter C
    Still getting to grips with jQuery and I am pleased to have got as far as I have, especially help from the posts in this forum. However, now got to a working function that does what I want, that is to create a radio group that looks like a button. It pulls data via json and loops through creating the radio buttons. I want to get the id of the radio buttons generated so that I can then parse through to the next step of the app but I can't get it to work. function FillDiv(groups, side) { var cnt = 1; var newClass = ''; var newType = ''; if (side == '#ck-button-left') { newClass = 'leftClass'; newType = 'radio' } else { newClass = 'rightClass'; newType = 'checkbox' } $.each(groups, function (index, groups) { $(side) .append( $(document.createElement('label')).attr({ id: cnt + 'lbl' }) ); $('#' + cnt + 'lbl') .append( $(document.createElement('input')).attr({ id: groups.GroupCode, type: newType, name: 'testGroup', class: newClass }) ); $('#' + groups.GroupCode).after ( $(document.createElement('span')).text(groups.GroupName).attr('class', 'leftSpan') ); $('#' + cnt + 'lbl').after($(document.createElement('br'))); cnt = cnt + 1; }); } Looking through various searched, it should work with something like... $('#leftSpan').mouseover(function () { $('#lblOutput').html(this.id); }); or, as I suspect, it is something to do with the nesting of the label/input that I need to reference the parent or child. Any pointers would be appreciated.

  • jquery - DOM traversal question

    - by David
    Hi, Basically what I have here is a button that adds a new list item to an unordered list. Within this list item is a dropdown box (.formSelector) that when changed triggers an ajax call to get the values for another dropdown box (.fieldSelector) in the same list item. The problem is on this line: $(this).closest(".fieldSelector").append( If I change it to $(".fieldSelector").append( the second box updates correctly. The problem with this is that when I have multiple list items it updates every dropdown box on the page with the class fieldSelector, which is undesirable. How can I traverse the DOM to just pick the fieldSelector in the current list item? Any help is greatly appreciated. Complete code: $("button", "#newReportElement").click(function() { $("#reportElements").append("<li class=\"ui-state-default\"> <span class=\"test ui-icon ui-icon-arrowthick-2-n-s \"></span><span class=\"ui-icon ui-icon-trash deleteRange \"></span> <select name=\"form[]\" class=\"formSelector\"><? foreach ($forms->result() as $row) { echo "<option value='$row->formId'>$row->name</option>"; }?></select><select class=\"fieldSelector\" name=\"field[]\"></select></li>"); $(".deleteRange").button(); $('.formSelector').change(function() { var id = $(this).val(); var url = "<? echo site_url("report/formfields");?>" + "/" + id; var atext = "ids:"; $.getJSON(url, function(data){ $.each(data.items, function(i,item){ $(this).closest(".fieldSelector").append( $('<option></option>').val(item.formId).html(item.formLabel) ); }); }); }); return false; });

  • Why can't I dynamically add rows to a HTML table using JavaScript in Internet Explorer?

How to make this work also in IE? Edit: Thanks to the accepted answer I changed it like this and now it works: <table border="1"> <tbody id="t1"> <tr> <td> static </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

    - by marcellscarlett
    I've gone through a number of threads here about this topic with no success. It seems that in the App.xaml.cs of our WPF application, handling DispatcherUnhandledExceptions and AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException don't catch everything. In this specific instance we have 7 prism modules. My exception handling code is below (almost identical for UnhandledException): private void OnDispatcherUnhandledException(object sender, DispatcherUnhandledExceptionEventArgs e) { try { var ex = e.Exception.InnerException ?? e.Exception; var logManager = new LogManager(); logManager.Error(ex); if (!EventLog.SourceExists(ex.Source)) EventLog.CreateEventSource(ex.Source, "AppName"); EventLog.WriteEntry(ex.Source, ex.InnerException.ToString()); var emb = new ExceptionMessageBox(ex); emb.ShowDialog(); e.Handled = true; } catch (Exception) { } } The problem seems to be the unhandled exceptions occurring in the modules. They aren't caught by the code above and they cause the application to crash without logging or displaying any sort of message. Does anyone have experience with this?

  • problems piping in node.js

    - by alvaizq
    We have the following example in node.js var http = require('http'); http.createServer(function(request, response) { var proxy = http.createClient(8083, '127.0.0.1') var proxy_request = proxy.request(request.method, request.url, request.headers); proxy_request.on('response', function (proxy_response) { proxy_response.pipe(response); response.writeHead(proxy_response.statusCode, proxy_response.headers); }); setTimeout(function(){ request.pipe(proxy_request); },3000); }).listen(8081, '127.0.0.1'); The example listen to a request in 127.0.0.1:8081 and sends it to a dummy server (always return 200 OK status code) in 127.0.0.1:8083. The problem is in the pipe among the input stream (readable) and output stream (writable) when we have a async module before (in this case the setTimeOut timing). The pipe doesn't work and nothing is sent to dummy server in 8083 port. Maybe, when we have a async call (in this case the setTimeOut) before the pipe call, the inputstream change to a state "not readable", and after the async call the pipe doesn't send anything. This is just an example...we test it with more async modules from node.js community with the same result (ldapjs, etc)... We try to fix it with: - request.readable =true; //before pipe call - request.pipe(proxy_request, {end : false}); with the same result (the pipe doesn't work). Can anybody help us? Many thanks in advanced and best regards,
