• How do I Export to excel on aspx page?

  I am trying to take data that I request from an access database and put it into and excel file on the client computer. I usually use ajax to request a summary of the data I need. It is formatted into an html table. I need that table to be in an excel format for the user to download. What I have tried already is to use the vb.net code to open excel and silently save the data to a file, however I realized it's the sever side that opens excel, not the client side, in my locally testing of the code, excel would open on my machine and create the file. When running this on the network, I realized excel isn't on the server, I am not sure if I should just install it, or try and steam the file.

  Can you recommend a good test plan template for an agile testing team? I know there are templates for testing on the web and have already looked at some found by search engines, but I could really use something lightweight and something that has already been tried by skilled testers and is known to work well. Many templates I've seen give me the feeling that writing test documents is expected to be a third of the work that those testers are doing, but my team really prefers to use less documentation and more actual test writing. We use a wiki for documentation, so an approach that lends itself to living documents would be great. My hope is that using a more structured approach to test planning will increase the usefulness of my test plan while reducing the effort to create it by allowing me to think about the tests, and not the format and structure of the plan. My workplace does not have something already on hand, so whatever I start doing might be adopted by the company.

Should all the 'label for' names also be the name of the variable? • Reading Partition Start and End in TestDisk

  I'm using TestDisk in an attempt to recover a partition gone terribly awry. Identifying the partition in question should simply be a matter of simply recognizing the location in the disk that it occupies. Since I know the location of the partition in question from GParted, I need to translate that over to the format that TestDisk uses, which I can't quite figure out. GParted gives the First and Last sectors as follows: First Sector: 1708032 Last Sector: 54637719 Total sector: 52929688 Test Disk gives the partitions in the following way: Start: 1691 110 20 End: 4986 39 5 Size in Sectors: 52929688 My question is: how do I translate the location specified in GParted to that in TestDisk?   I'm looking to implement the command pattern in a web application (asp.net c#)... Since the commands come in text format from the client, what is the best way to translate the string to a command object? Should I use reflection? Currently I just assume the command that comes in matches the file name of a user control. This is a bit of a hack. Rather than have a select case statement that says if string = "Dashboard" then call Dashboard.Execute(), is there a pattern for working with commands that originate as strings?

  I am working on a language learning startup. I think that one of the best ways to study is through music. For that purpose I would like to include MP3s on the website, together with related study tools such as appropriate lyrics. Because I want to avoid dead links I would like to host the MP3s directly on my server and stream them to the users. Doing this isn't exactly legal since everyone could download the MP3s. But what if, before accessing a specific song, I displayed a message asking "Do you legally own this song in CD/MP3/... format?" and only if the user clicks "yes" he is allowed to continue and listen. Isn't this how, for example, YouTube gets around legal problems? Does anybody have insight on this? Thank you!

  Currently i'm developing an iOS MMO game with cocos2d-x, that game depends on many data tables(excel file) given by the designers. These tables contain data like how much gold/crystal will be cost when upgrade a building(barracks, laboratory etc..). We have about 10 tables, each have about 50 rows of data. My question is how to store those tables on client side and how to update them once they have been modified on server side? My opinion: use Sqlite to store data on client side, the server will parse the excel files and send the data to client with JSON format, then the client parse the JOSN string and save it to Sqlite file. Is there any better method? I find that some game stores csv files on client side, how do they update the files? Could server send a whole file directly to client?

I need to buy a license from VideoLan (x264licensing.com) to use the library to encode video into h264 format and I need to buy a license from the MpegLAGroup to use the h264 video encoding in general in my commercial product.   I have used Libreoffice Impress to give presentations at meetings for some time now. The current version of Libreoffice in Ubuntu 12.04 is 3.5.7.2 and this works fine for me. Recently, following a recommendation from a colleague, I installed Libreoffice 4.0.something using the Libreoffice PPA. This worked, but I discovered when going into slide show mode most of the graphics (line graphs) disappeared, even though they were perfectly visible in the original. Lettering, drawings, and pictures came over, but not the line graphs (which were originally inserted in .eps format most likely). With some effort I managed to uninstall the more recent version of Libreoffice, and reinstall the version in the Ubuntu repositories (3.5.7.2) and the graphs now appear as expected in the slide show mode. Is there any explanation for this behaviour?

Update: After restart, when trying to update all packages, I get this error: installArchives() failed: dpkg: error processing flashplugin-nonfree (--remove): Package is in very bad, inconsistent state - before trying to remove rather reinstall it. Reinstalling it results in the same error.

  I have a ton of files, all named stuff like 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, and so on up to 1439.jpg. However, I have a problem with one of my projects and alphabetizing. It will usually go in the order 1.jpg, 10.jpg, 11.jpg and so on. What I need is some way (or a script) to name the files so they are in the format such as 00001.jpg all the way up to 01439.jpg.   I got a paper template in .doc format from a conference site. Now when i work on it with libreoffice and insert image to it and insert caption for the image, after closing the file and opening it again, all images are gone. I saw that when the image Anchor is set "to frame" the image will be gone but when it is set to e.g. "to paragraph" it will maintain but it's alignment will be corrupted. Also, i need the Anchor to be set to "Frame". What can I do? I searched the net but i didn't find a good answer.

  I have downloaded the Universal USB Installer and Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop as described on your site. I installed it to a 16Gb USB stick including the format option. Now when I try to boot from the stick into Ubuntu I get a couple of lines of script then a screen with EasUS Todo Backup with Backup. Recovery, Clone and Tools options, but no sign of Ubuntu starting. Where is the start Ubuntu option please? I can find no reference to EaseUS on your help pages.

  I recently added a new 3TB hard drive to a headless media server (HP proliant microserver) running Ubuntu server 12.04. I followed this tutorial, which uses fdisk to create a single partition of the maximum size reported by fdisk. I have choosen ext4 format. I then copied across all my media, which took some time. I am guessing that fidisk has a 2TB limit, because du is reporting this as the size. Is there any way to increase the size of the partition to 3TB without having to copy all my media over again?
