    I have a submenu that has all items linked to the same node, but with different additional parameters, for ex: ... <li...><a href = "/?q=page1&filter=10" class = "... active">Item1</a></li> <li...><a href = "/?q=page1&filter=11" class = "... active">Item2</a></li> ... in this case all items have class 'active' and none of them has class 'active-trail'. Is there any way to identify the true active link (for styling purposes)? any suggestions will be much appreciated!

    I was asked this interview question so thought I would post it here to see how other users would answer: Please write some code which connects to a MySQL database (any host/user/pass), retrieves the current date & time from the database, compares it to the current date & time on the local server (i.e. where the application is running), and reports on the difference. The reporting aspect should be a simple HTML page, so that in theory this script can be put on a web server, set to point to a particular database server, and it would tell us whether the two servers’ times are in sync (or close to being in sync).   • "Ambiguous column name" error on one particular server

    This simple query throws the "Ambiguous column name TaskID" error on one db-server only. This is ridiculous. We tested this with the same database structure on different servers and different versions of ms sql (2005/2008), and it's only THIS particular client's server that throws the error. I'm actually frustrated.     Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to use mod_rewrite so that I can replace linked images (coming in externally) and use local ones instead. Why am I doing this? I have a plugin which I'm integrating into my site, which uses ugly external images as buttons, and I want to redo these buttons to match my site. The links come in externally and are not embedded in a plugin php somewhere, so I figure there might be some way of using mod_rewrite to intercept and replace the incoming links.     I'm new to MySQL struggling to find a version and workbench which works stably on my 64 bit windows 7 machine. I've decided to attempt to completely remove MySQL from my machine and to restart the installation process from scratch. However, after uninstalling all software linked with MySQL using conventional control panel uninstalling means some MySQL windows services still remain on my machine. I can't see any obvious method to remove these and they have since been causing me difficulties when trying to install different versions of MySQL. Could anyone please advise?

    Hi, Lets say I am user: bob & group: users. There is this file: -rw----r-- 1 root users 4 May 8 22:34 testfile First question, why can't bob read the file as it's readable by others? Is it simply that if you are denied by group, then you are auto-blacklisted for others? I always assumed that the final 3 bits too precedence over user/group permission bits, guess I was wrong... Second question, how is this implemented? I suppose it's linked to the first query, but how does this work in relation to Access Control, is it related to how ACLs work / are queried? Just trying to understand how these 9 permission bits are actually implemented/used in Linux. Thanks alot.

  • MS Access Can't move to a different record?

    Ok, I'm really baffled. Here's the rundown: I've created a form with a subform. The main form is called FacilityInfo, and the subform is called BillingInfo. The forms are linked via 3 fields, AffiliateID, ClientID, and FacilityID. the subform shows one record at a time, set to show Continuous Forms, and AllowAdditions = No I can see that there are 4 records in the nav bar. But Access won't let me move off the first record. I've tried setting to Single Form. I've tried AllowAdditions = Yes. I do have a Vertical Scroll bar on the subform. It will allow me to scroll through the records, but I can only see them. I cannot move to one of the controls. Any ideas? I'm freakin' out! Thanks in advance!

    Let's assume we have two models linked with a 1-to-many relationship (like clients and invoices - a client can have many invoices). In a view of a 'client' (let's say the 'show' view), there is a form to capture an 'invoice'. I found 2 approaches: This form should be handled by the 'invoice' controller (method create), having client_id passed as a parameter This form should be handled by a new method in 'client' controller, probably a PUT method defined in routes.rb. Is there a 'Rails way', or both of them are good? Is there a preffered way? Thanks!

    I am trying to replicate this equation: Slope(b) = (NSXY - (SX)(SY)) / (NSX2 - (SX)2) in C# but I'm getting the following issue: If I make the average of X = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 and the average Y = 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 it gives me a positive slope even though it is clearly counting down. If I place the same numbers into this calculator: http://www.easycalculation.com/statistics/regression.php It gives me a negative slope in the linked calculator with the same data.     I've recently worked with MongoDB and learned about its schemaless design. However, I'm confused with the term NoSQL? Why is it called that? Doesn't it use SQL or SQL-like queries? I've also read from an article that the main difference lies in how data is stored. In the case of MongoDB, it's stored like JSON documents. Is this true? Also, I'm confused why I always see 'NoSQL vs relational databases'. Aren't NoSQL databases relational? I believe documents in MongoDB are still related/linked through some keys (please correct me if I'm wrong). So why is it labeled as non-relational? Thanks in advance!

  • Rails - column not found for defined 'has_many' relationship

    I define a Post class which can link or be linked to multiple posts. To do this I added a PostLink class which specifies post_to and post_from. I generated the PostLink class by rails g model post_link from_post:integer to_post:integer and of course rake db:migrate, and added belongs_to :from_post, :class_name => 'Post' belongs_to :to_post, :class_name => 'Post' to the class. And I also have has_many :post_links in my Post class. I ran rails console and Post.new.post_links and got nil printed out, which is expected. However after I save a Post using p = Post.new p.save and then run p.post_links, it prints out the following error message: SQLite3::SQLException: no such column: post_links.post_id: SELECT "post_links".* FROM "post_links" WHERE "post_links"."post_id" = 1 So anybody know why after saving it to the database post_link can not be accessed?

    Hi, my xml file has a tag with an attribute "containsValue" which contains the "special" characters you can see in the subject: <original_msg_body id="msgBodySpecialCharsRule" containsValue=";ìè+òàù-<^èç°§_>!£$%&/()=?~`'#;" /> in my xml schema the attribute has xs:string: <xs:attribute name="containsValue" type="xs:string" /> I use this value inside a Java software which check if this value is contained inside another String. but I always obtain this Exception: javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException - with linked exception: [org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "containsValue" associated with an element type "original_msg_body" must not contain the '<' character.] How can I solve it? I've tried changing the attribute type to xs:NMTOKEN, ut I get the same exception. Is there any other type? I think I could change the characters encoding, for example using the HTML representation, like <, but than could be tricky for the string comparison...

    I've been trying to source the location of a perl script which is causing havoc on a server which i control. I'm also trying to find out exactly how this script was installed on the server - my best guess is through a wordpress exploit. The server is a basic web setup running Ubuntu 9.04, Apache and MySQL. I use IPTables for firewall, the site runs around 20 sites and the load never really creeps above 0.7. From what i can see the script is making outbound connection to other servers (most likely trying to brute force entry).   • sendmail can not relay from itself

    I am running 3 centos 5.2 servers and I have configured the server for forward all messages to root to be emailed to me via .forward rule. This is working fine on two of the servers but not on the third. I have also tried copying the mail config files from the backup server and placing them on the file server and restarting sendmail. I also removed and reinstalled sendmail via yum but the results are the same. I am not sure what the issue could be they are all standard centos installs.
