  • 2013 U.S. GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy Available for Public Review and Comment

    FASB recently released the proposed 2013 U.S. GAAP Reporting Taxonomy. Comments are due October 29, 2012 to be finalized and published early 2013.  The proposed 2013 U.S. GAAP taxonomy and instructions on how to submit comments are available at the FASB’s XBRL page. In previous blog entries, I talked about how Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management supports the latest taxonomy, enabling financial managers to easily comply with the latest filing requirements. The taxonomy is a list of computer-readable tags in XBRL that allows companies to annotate the voluminous financial data that is included in typical long-form financial statements and related footnote disclosures. The tags allow computers to automatically search for, assemble, and process data so it can be readily accessed and analyzed by investors, analysts, journalists, and regulators. You do not have to have Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, used for consolidating financial results, to generate XBRL. You just need Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management to generate XBRL instance documents from financial applications, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Oracle Fusion General Ledger. To generate XBRL tags and complete SEC filings using your existing financial applications with Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management, here are the steps: Download the XBRL taxonomy from the SEC or XBRL Website into Hyperion Disclosure Management to create a company taxonomy. Publish financial statements from the general ledger to Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. Create the SEC filing in the Microsoft programs and perform the XBRL tag mapping in Oracle Hyperion Disclosure Management. Ensure that the SEC filing meets XBRL and SEC EDGAR Filer Manual validation requirements. Validate and submit the company taxonomy and XBRL instance document to the SEC. Az alábbi ismerteto nem teljes köru, mivel számos olyan termék van (Data Masking, Real Application Testing, Real User Experience Insight, Application Testing Suite), melyek kapcsolódnak az Enterprise Manager-hez, azonban licencelésük másképp muködik. Az Enterprise Manager licenceléssel kapcsolatban az elsodleges információ forrás a Licensing Information doksi. A legfontosabb információk: - A Grid Control keretrendszer (Agent-ek és a konzol az alapfunkciókkal - lásd késobb) önmagában ingyenes, sot restricted-use licencet tartalmaz Oracle Database-re, amennyiben azt csak az Oracle Management Repository céljára használják. Fontos, hogy ez nem tartalmaz egyéb Oracle Database opciókat, mint például a RAC! Hasonlóképpen az Oracle WebLogic Server is kizárólagosan az Oracle Management Server kiszolgálására használható ingyenesen, de fürtözés nélkül. - A Grid Control alapfunkcionalitása: Discovery, Groups, Job Scheduling, Real time availability, Performance & monitoring, Target Home Pages, Administration, Console alerts - Az alapfunkcionalitás felügyelt termékektol függoen bovítheto Management Pack, Plug-in és Connector termékekkel. Tehát például ha 2 adatbázis szerverre szeretnénk Diagnostic Pack-ek használni, akkor mindkettore kell CPU vagy NUP (Named User Plus) licencet vásárolni, attól függoen az adatbázis maga milyen licenccel rendelkezik. Megjegyzem ezt a konkrét Management Pack-ek kizárólag Enterprise Edition Database esetén lehet alkalmazni. - Számos fizetos funkció külön telepítés nélkül is elérheto a Grid Control felületén (ugyanez igaz Database Control-ra és Fusion Middleware Control-ra is). Hogy elkerüljük a licenc sértést, érdemes ellenorízni hogy az adott környezetben mely Management Pack-ek használata került bekapcsolásra.     To improve the management of its life-saving operations, the National Marrow Donor Program recently modernized its financial and procurement operations by upgrading to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.   As the global leader in bone marrow and umbilical cord blood transplants, the NMDP manages a complex ecosystem of donor, patient, hospital, and biological data. “Maintaining accurate data and having an efficient matching process is essential, particularly as our global database of bone marrow patients grows and donor lists expand,” says Bruce Schmaltz, director of finance/controller. “We rely on the Oracle E-Business Suite to ensure our procurement and financial management processes meet the highest standards, enabling our growing non-profit to work swiftly and efficiently to help improve and save lives.” As the non-profit organization and its registry grew larger, NMDP needed a modern platform to store and integrate its financial information and complicated procurement process. It selected Oracle E-Business Suite for its ability to fit seamlessly into NMDP’s enterprise architecture.   • Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

    I am having an issue with a program where after 6 mins +- 5 secs we get the above exception. Some more info about the exception stacktrace is below. This all happens pretty religiously, 6 mins goes by and bam the following 3 exeptions. We have the application installed in 2 other environments and it is working fine there. I am hoping to find some server settings either IIS 6 or Server 2003 settings that may be causing this issue to occur. I have reviewed some of the similar questions and don't see very many answers.     I am having an issue with a program where after 6 mins +- 5 secs we get the above exception. Some more info about the exception stacktrace is below. This all happens pretty religiously, 6 mins goes by and bam the following 3 exeptions. We have the application installed in 2 other environments and it is working fine there. I am hoping to find some server settings either IIS 6 or Server 2003 settings that may be causing this issue to occur. I have reviewed some of the similar questions and don't see very many answers.     I have a homenetwork 192.168.1.0/24 with gteway 192.168.1.1 and a remote network with the same parameters. Now I want to create a OpenVPN tunnel between those networks. I have no problems with Windows, because Windows routes everything to 192.168.1.0/24 except 192.168.1.1 throught the tunnel.   • Exchange 2003 -- Mailbox Management not deleting ALL messages aged 30 days or older...

    I've recently created a Mailbox Management task within Exchange 2003 that, every night, looks at the contents of the Deleted Items within a particular mailbox and deletes mail that's 30 days or older. The scheduled task ran on its own last night and I have confirmed that messages within the right mailbox and the right folder were, in fact, processed. Many mails were deleted ... but not never email older than 30 days. In fact, the choice seems kinda random. Last night 3/10/2010 was the 30 day watermark. Mails were deleted from 3/10/2010, sure enough, but not all of them. Mails older than 3/10/2010 were deleted as well, but, again, not all of them. The only criteria I have on the management -- aside from the single mailbox and single folder scopes -- is the age criteria. The size criteria is set to Any, meaning I don't care about the size. I care about the age. It's made me wonder where there is some sort of limit on how many mails can be processed? The schedule is set for 12am and 1am every night. Any hints appreciated.

  • Print over remote CUPS server, but just show a subset of the printers.

    I'd like to print from my Ubuntu laptop (karmic) to some networked printers. Our organisation uses a CUPS server with several hundred printers. What I know I can do is: CUPS_SERVER=printers.company.com acroread document.pdf and then Adobe Reader shows me all available printers to select from. However, it takes a couple of minutes to display the large list, which is really annoying. (The desktop PCs here suffer from this, too.) The other option is to add a new printer with an address like ipp://printers.company.com/printer/bldg1_hp8150 (to the Ubuntu printer configuration = local CUPS server). However, it asks me for a driver. I don't want to / can't always specify a driver, since some printers don't appear in the list. I'd like to let the remote CUPS server handle the driver part (like it does when i set CUPS_SERVER), and do no more preprocessing/"driver stuff" on my side. The ideal thing would be if I could somehow add the remote printer list to my local cups server, and apply a filter, so that it would just display printers a la bldg1_*. This feature was available in KDE3.?, but I can't find something similar in Ubuntu/Gnome. Any suggestions?

    Is there a way to open a .db file (sqlite database file) from within microsoft sql management studio? Right now we have a process that will grab the data from a microsoft sql server database and put it into a sqlite database file that will be used by an application later on. Is there a way to open the sqlite database file so that it can be compared to the data inside the sql server database ... using only one sql query? Is there a plug-in for microsoft sql management studio? Or maybe there is another way to do this same task using only one query. Right now we have to write two scripts ... one for sql server database and one for sqlite database ... then take the output from each in the same format and put them each in their own OpenOffice spreadsheet file. Finally, we compare the two files to see if there are any differences. Perhaps there's a better way to do this. P.S. Alot of applications use sqlite internally: Well-Known Users Of SQLite

  • Cisco Unified Communication integration for Microsoft Lync crashes on Remote Desktop services 2008 R2!

    Hi everybody i have deployed office communication server 2007 R2 and communicator 2007 R2 and i made integration with Cisco Unified Communication Manager 7.1 in my network, i also use Remote Desktop Servers 2008 R2 for Thin Client Computers, now that i installed Cisco UC integration client for communicator 2007 R2 (Ver. 8.0.3) or Cisco UC integration client for Microsoft Lync that works fine on PCs but Not on Remote Desktop Servers. i have Three Remote Desktop Servers in a Farm with loadbalancing enabled. all other applications on these RDP servers works fine for 120 active users. some times when i start Cisco UC client on Remote Desktop servers i get the following error: "The Port Reguired for callbacks from Cisco unified client framework could not be read, please retry" i also found the folowing log so i think that may be the cause: 2011-01-05 08:24:21,489 [INFO ] [com.cisco.uc.ucsf.ProblemReportingTool.controller.SingleInstanceManager] [SingleInstanceManager.acquireMutex(0)] -   • SimpleDOM sortedXPath date sorting works on localhost but not on remote server.

    Here's what i'm trying to do: 1) Take a basic XML page (data.xml) 2) Load it with simpleDOM 3) Use simpleDOM sortedXPath to sort all XML items by their pubDate 4) Display sorted output Here is the code I currently have. My code below outputs exactly what I need when run it on my localhost (XAMPP w/PHP 5.3) but on my remote server (which has at least PHP 5.0+) all is lost and a completely blank page is output. It will output the $xml array with print_r though.   • How to pull one commit at a time from a remote git repository?

    I'm trying to set up a darcs mirror of a git repository. I have something that works OK, but there's a significant problem: if I push a whole bunch of commits to the git repo, those commits get merged into a single darcs patchset. I really want to make sure each git commit gets set up as a single darcs patchset. I bet this is possible by doing some kind of git fetch followed by interrogation of the local copy of the remote branch, but my git fu is not up to the job. Here's the (ksh) code I'm using now, more or less: git pull -v # pulls all the commits from remote --- bad! # gets information about only the last commit pulled -- bad! author="$(git log HEAD^..HEAD --pretty=format:"%an <%ae>")" logfile=$(mktemp) git log HEAD^..HEAD --pretty=format:"%s%n%b%n" > $logfile # add all new files to darcs and record a patchset. this part is OK darcs add -q --umask=0002 -r . darcs record -a -A "$author" --logfile="$logfile" darcs push -a rm -f $logfile My idea is Try git fetch to get local copy of the remote branch (not sure exactly what arguments are needed) Somehow interrogate the local copy to get a hash for every commit since the last mirroring operation (I have no idea how to do this) Loop through all the hashes, pulling just that commit and recording the associated patchset (I'm pretty sure I know how to do this if I get my hands on the hash) I'd welcome either help fleshing out the scenario above or suggestions about something else I should try. Ideas?

  • Log off from Remote Desktop Session does not closing Session, showing the login screen again on Wind

    Hi As per requirement we have written one custom GINA. I have observed one interesting behavior in Windows XP 32 Bit(SP2). Customized GINA internally calls windows default Windows GINA(msgina.dll) and shows one extra window as per our requirement. I used to do remote desktop to XP machine from my machine. After replacing Windows GINA with customized GINA I tried to log off from the XP Machine(I am Using Remote Desktop Connection to log in), Log off completes successfully(After showing saving your settings, Closing network connections etc) and I will get log in screen which we get during log on, this is not expected comapred to other flavors of Windows OD. Where as in other operating systems such as Windows XP 64 Bit/ Windows 2003 32/64 Bit even after replacing the Windows Gina with custom GINA remote desktop session closes after log off from the machine. I have tried installing Novell GINA on Windows XP 32 Bit but i have not find any issue with that. I have Tried upgrading XP SP2 to SP3, still i am facing the same issue. Whether anyone faced Such issues when worked with Windows GINA? Thanks in advance Santhosha K S

  • How can I get vim to draw lines correctly for remote editing?

    I'm attempting to edit files on a remote system. I've ssh'd to the system and I start editing with vim. However, I notice that all the lines are drawing 2 lines above where they really exist in the file. I assumed this was a problem I could fix by dropping my terminal settings to something simpler, but that didn't help. My TERM variable was set to xterm-color. I set it to vt100, but that didn't fix the line drawing issue. I also noticed that this seems to be specific to vim. emacs doesn't show the problem, and I haven't noticed any odd drawing artifacts in less, more or other paging tools. Other specifics: I'm ssh-ing into the remote system from a Mac, using the Terminal.app. The remote system is running Ubuntu 9.04. I'm hoping there is something I just need to set in vim to get it to play nice. If it allows me to keep syntax color highlighting, so much the better.
