  • C++ to bytecode compiler for CLR?

    I'd like to be able to compile a C++ library so that it runs within a managed runtime in the CLR. There are several tools for doing this with the JVM (NestedVM, LLJVM, etc) but I can't seem to find any for the CLR. Has anyone tried doing this?

    Hi, I want to protect the "www" folder in my Apache server. Checked some tools on the net like TrueCrypt, FolderEncrypt etc. All these encrypt the folder contents. If the www folder is encrypted, then my php won't work. Is there a way to lock the folder in windows without encrypting its contents.[ A little harder to crack then no lock at all] Regards Jad

  • remote debug unmanaged code

    Hi. I have a process that contains C# code, C++\CLI code and native c++ code. Now, I'm trying to remote debug my process, and I can go to the statements of my C# code and my C++\CLI code, but I can't reach my native code. When I try to hit a breakpoint in my native c++ source file, I get the "No symbole have been loaded" error. I tried to manualy load the symboles (tools-options-debugging), but no luck. Any Idea?

    I'm looking for a free, open-sourced web application written in C#/VB.Net on top of ASP.Net, which functions like Plesk or cPanel when it comes to (remote) file management. Something that simulates a regular FTP client, but actually displays web pages over HTTP, with the following functions: Create Folder Rename File/Folder Delete File/Folder Change Timestamp ("Touch") Move Archive etc. I saw a few commercial tools, but nothing when it comes to OSS.     I can't find anything like that. Commercial or free ( XSQL Lite is suitable for my case and ) tools show diffs in grids with possibility to export to CSV. Also they generate sync SQL scripts when run from command line. What I need is an output as a comprehensive report ( XML , HTML ) suitable for parsing so that I would be able to show similar diff grid in my application ( updated old/new values for each column , added - all values for row , deleted - all values for row and etc... ) .

  • Prevent image cropping when making sprites from gif

    Hey guys I've tried several tools (imagemagic, gif2png, Nconverter) to extract frames to make sprites from a .gif image that i have. I get the .pngs just fine, but they'r not the same size, some are 50x65 some 43x65 some 50x70, Which really screws any attempts at a descent animation. So is there a way to prevent this cropping or programmatically add extra transparent space to smaller ones and make them all the same size? Thanks.

    Is there a way using Python to simulate the presence of an active network connection using dbus? If I call getstate() on the dbus, I'm able to get the current network state. I want to set the current state to 4 (Connection Present). This is because Network Manager is not able to connect using my modem and I use other tools to connect. Pidgin, Empathy and other software are not able to detect the network.

    I'm looking for recommendations for an easy to use reporting/business intelligence tool that can interface with an sql server or access database. It can be web-based or a desktop tool. Ideally it would be freeware or low cost, and easy to use for users who are not that technically savvy (below the level of someone who can generate reports and complicated queries in Access). Any tools I've seen so far (such as Crystal Reports) are either too expensive or too complicated to use for non-power users.
