SQL Error: -443, SQLState: 38111 when accessing table metadata on DB2 zOS

Hello, I'm getting following error when using Hibernate in a Java application over my DB2 database. This error occurs with one DB2 database and not with another (I'm almost sure the problem is in DB2 server side configuration), and I didn't found the difference between the two databases. Lucene.NET 2.9 and BitArray/DocIdSet

I found a great example on grabbing facet counts on a base query. Ok, I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to JS (I'm not the greatest programmer) so please be gentle - specially if my questions been asked already somewhere and I'm too stupid to find the right answer. Self deprecation out of the way, let's get to the question. Problem There is a site me and a large group of friends frequently use which doesn't display all the information we may like to know - in this case an airline bookings site and the class of travel. While the information is buried in the code of the page, it isn't displayed anywhere to the user. Using a Greasemonkey script, I'd like to liberate this piece of information and display it in a suitable format. Here's the psuedocode of what I'm looking to do. Search dom for specified element define variables Find a string of text If found Set result to a variable Write contents to page at a specific location (before a specified div) If not found Do nothing I think I've achieved most of it so far, except for the key bits of: Searching for the string: The page needs to search for the following piece of text in the page HEAD: mileageRequest += "&CLASSES=S,S-S,S-S"; The Content I need to extract and store is between the second equals (=) sign and the last comma ("). The contents of this area can be any letter between A-Z. I'm not fussed about splitting it up into an array so I could use the elements individually at this stage. Writing the result to a location: Taking that found piece of text and writing it to another location. Extra text shown on oveflow: hidden

I'm keeping the main content area of the webpage small, so that footer navigation can be seen "above the fold". This is done by javascript setting the main content <div> thus: sec.style.height = '265px'; sec.style.overflow = 'hidden'; And then using javascript to insert a button to change the style back to normal: sec.style.height = 'auto'; The problem is that the cut-off point of 265px (dictated by the size of an image which I don't want to hide) doesn't quite match the gap between lines of text. This means that there the tops of tall letters show as funny little marks. Is there any way to hide text which is partially showing in a <div style="overflow: hidden;">? Good book for a software developer doing part-time (Linux) system administration work

In many smaller organisations, developers often end up doing some system administration work (for obvious reasons). A lot of the time, they have great developer skills, but few system administration skills (perhaps all self-taught), and so have to learn as they go, which is fairly inefficient. Are there canonical (or simply great) books that would help in this situation? More advanced than just using a shell (presumably a developer can do that), but not aimed at someone that hopes to spend many years doing this work. Ideally, something fairly generic (although specific to a distribution would be OK), covering databases, networking, general maintenance, etc, not just one specific task. For the most part, I'm interested in shell-based work (i.e. no GUI installed), although if there's something outstanding I'm missing, please point it out. (As an analogy, replace "system administration" with C, and I'd want K&R, with C++ and I'd want Meyers' "Effective C++").

However, when I click on the date, I get an error: inst is null. How to make Chrome redraw SVG dynamically added content?

I've dynamacally added the circle elements to the svg displayed in a iFrame. Chrome isnt showing the new elements, not tried FF yet. Is there somekind of redraw/refresh I need to call? VS2008 javascript debugger IE8 "there is no source code available for the current location"

I have almost the same problem as this unanswered question. The only difference is I'm using VS2008, but I'm in an MVC project calling this javascript function: function CompanyChange(compCtrl) { alert(compCtrl.value); debugger; var test; for (var i = 0; i < document.all.length; i++) { test = document.all[i]; } } I hit the alert, then I get the message "there is no source code available for the current location." At which point the page becomes unresponsive and I have to manually stop the debugger just to shut it down. I've logged into another machine and ran this exact code and it works fine, I hit the debugger and can step through. I've checked to make sure all settings in VSToolsOptionsDebugging are identical as well as IEOptionsAdvanced and they are. Both machines are Windows 7 Enterprise edition 32-bit, VS2008, IE8. I've also tried attaching a process manually in VS, and using the 'Developer Tools' in IE which didn't work (said there already was a process attached). I was hoping someone may have had this problem and found a work-around because I've already done a lot of searching and tried all the options I've read. Anyone else run into this? Thank you, Jeff

PostgreSQL 9.1 Database Replication Between Two Production Environments with Load Balancer

I'm investigating different solutions for database replication between two PostgreSQL 9.1 databases. The setup will include two production servers on the cloud (Amazon EC2 X-Large Instances), with an elastic load balancer. What is the typical database implementation for for this type of setup? A master-master replication (with Bucardo or rubyrep)? Or perhaps use only one shared database between the two environments, with a shared disk failover? I've been getting some ideas from http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.0/static/different-replication-solutions.html. Since I don't have a lot of experience in database replication, I figured I would ask the experts. What would you recommend for the described setup?

Setting httponly in JSESSIONID cookie (Java EE 5)

I'm trying to set the httponly flag on the JSESSIONID cookie. I'm working in Java EE 5, however, and can't use setHttpOnly(). First I tried to create my own JSESSIONID cookie from within the servlet's doPost() by using response.setHeader(). When that didn't work, I tried response.addHeader(). That didn't work either. Then, I learned that the servlet handled converting the session into a JSESSIONID cookie and inserting it into the http header so if I want to play with that cookie, I'll have to write a filter. I wrote a filter and played with setHeader()/addHeader() there, again to no avail. Then, I learned that there's some flush/close action going on in the response object before it gets to the filter so if I want to manipulate the data, I need to extend HttpServletResponseWrapper and pass that to filterChain.doFilter(). This is done but I'm still not getting results. Clearly I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what. I'm not sure if this is at all relevant to the question at hand but no html document is being returned by the servlet to the browser. All that's really happening is that some objects are being populated and returned to a JSP document. I've sort of assumed that The Session object is turned into a JSESSIONID cookie and wrapped -- along with the objects added to the request -- in an http header before being sent to the browser. I'd be happy to post some code but I want to rule out the possibility that my difficulties stem from a misunderstanding of the theory first.

How to install specific version of MySQL?

I installed from the repo, 5.0.77... including setup of PowerDNS (and the backend for MySQL). I tried setting up replication from my Master (which is MySQL 5.1.53) but it didn't work even though there were no errors, nothing got replicated. So the last resort is to try the same MySQL version on both the master and the slave (nb, only the slave has pdns installed) How would I go about installing MySQL 5.1.53? I tried downloading the rpm from MySQL (obviously the wrong one, didn't even include the mysql command to shell into the databases), but in turn fucked up the dependencies for pdns' mysql backend. I have the atomic repo which will install MySQL 5.5 (both on my Master server and Slave), but I don't want to do a major upgrade on the master right now as it's in production. Would love some advice!

Async Load JavaScript Files with Callback

However the callback is sometimes called when the scripts aren't actually loaded which causes a variable not found error. Any help to make it go the first time a date is selected will be appreciated

Using Unicode in fancyvrb’s VerbatimOut

Problem VerbatimOut from the “fancyvrb” package doesn’t play nicely with UTF-8 characters. Minimal working example: \documentclass{minimal} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage{fancyvrb} \begin{document} \begin{VerbatimOut}{\jobname.test} é \end{VerbatimOut} \input{\jobname.test} \end{document} Error message When compiled using pdflatex mini, this gives the error File ended while scanning use of \UTFviii@three@octets. A different error occurs when the sole occurrence of é above is replaced by something else, e.g. é */: Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:### not set up for use with LaTeX. – indicating that in this case, LaTeX succeeds in reading a multi-byte UTF-8 character, but not knowing what to do with it (i.e. it’s the wrong character). In fact, when I open the produced .test file manually, it contains the character é, but in Latin-1 encoding! Proof: when I open the files in a hex editor, I get the following: Original file: C3 A9 (corresponds to LATIN SMALL LETTER E WITH ACUTE in UTF-8) Written file: E9 (corresponds to é in Latin-1) Question How to set VerbatimOut up correctly? filecontents* (from “filecontents”) shows that it can work. Unfortunately, I don’t understand either code so I cannot fix fancyvrb’s code by replicating the logic from filecontents manually. I also cannot use filecontents* instead of VerbatimOut because the former doesn’t work within a \newenvironment, while the latter does. (Oh, by the way: vanilla Verbatim instead of VerbatimOut also works as expected. The error seems to occur when writing the file, not when reading the verbatim input)

Retrieving Chrome History and History Archives for Mac

I've read some articles here that suggest that we are able to retrieve Chrome's history as SQLite databases: Export history from chome browser How can I view "archived" Google Chrome history — i.e. history older than three months? I can't seem to find the folder where these are supposed to be located. In the first article, the provided path was ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google/Chrome/Default/History, but there is no such directory in my filesystem. I am using Chrome 26.0.1410.65 on Mac OS X Lion. And I am signed in with my Google account. Article http://unlockforus.blogspot.it/2008/09/how-opening-google-chrome-files-history.html provided in the last of the above is very useful, but it is only for Windows. Is there something similar to that but for Mac? Is there a way to find the folder where Chrome stores my history?

Uploadify - Passing Information Back to The Original Form

I have an Send.aspx page that has an uploadify control on it. Upload.ashx handles the file upload. I am adding a file record to a sql database in the Upload.ashx file and I need to get the ID of that record back from Upload.aspx when it is done. Can't get it working with Sessions. =( Something to do with an Adobe bug? What would the best way to handle this be?
