• How do I retain a requested url with parameters after redirecting to a login page?

  I have been asked to set up some authentication for some content on our website using JSP. What I would like to do seems simple to me but I can't quite figure out how to do it in JSP. What I would like to do is this: When a user requests a page that you must be logged in to see, I have a tag that checks their cookies for an authentication token. If it is not there, they are redirected to a login page. After they log in, I want to redirect them back to the page they first requested along with any parameters they were sending. Now, I have the tag that is checking their authentication and redirecting them to the login page. That part is working just fine. But I'm not sure how to maintain the first requested url and parameters so they can be redirected after they login. How might I accomplish this?

  Using WATIR and Excel, I'd like to take the first row of a table in Excel, visit the URL, then set the 12th link on the page as a variable in the cell next to the cell with the URL, then go to the next line and repeat. I'm stuck on getting the URL of the 12th link on the page to set as a variable that I can feed into the next cell in Excel. • Recommendations with hierarchical data on non-relational databases?

  I'm developing an web application that uses a non-relational database as a backend (django-nonrel + AppEngine). I need to store some hierarchical data (projects/subproject_1/subproject_N/tasks), and I'm wondering which pattern should I use. For now I thought of: Adjacency List (store the item's parent id) Nested sets (store left and right values for the item) In my case, the depth of nesting for a normal user will not exceed 4-5 levels. Also, on the UI, I would like to have a pagination for the items on the first level, to avoid to load too many items at the first page load. From what I understand so far, nested sets are great when the hierarchy is used more for displaying. Adjacency lists are great when editing on the tree is done often. In my case I guess I need the displaying more than the editing (when using nested sets, even if the display would work great, the above pagination could complicate things on editing). Do you have any thoughts and advice, based on your experience with the non-relational databases?

• How to implement a timer for regular events?

  I would like to implement some timers into my application. My goal is to provide an easy way to execute some function every x seconds/minutes so I thought about implementing a 1 sec, 5 sec and 15 seconds timer. The first thing i would like to update every 1 second is the built in clock (don't know if there is any other solution in c#, used this method in c++) Another use would be e.g. a sync function etc. which shall be executed every xx seconds. My question is if there are any useful tutorials on this topic? It is the first time that I would like to implement such an timer system into one of my applications and I do not know if there are any things I have to keep in mind. • Issues running python scripts in Command Prompt (Specifically with command line arguments)?

  I am trying to run my python scripts in DOS without calling python.exe first. I am specifically doing this in relation to running django-admin.py. I have C:\Python26 and C:\Python26\Scripts in my PATH. However, if I try running django-admin.py by doing: django-admin.py startproject helloworld I get the message: Type 'django-admin.py help' for usage. Now, after some experimentation, I realized the problem is that the secondary arguments to these scripts are not being passed for some reason, since I tried it with a some other python scripts I have. I know I could avoid this problem by simply doing: python C:\Python26\Scripts\django-admin.py startproject helloworld But I know it should be possible to run the first command only and get it to work, because I had it working before. I've looked everywhere, and not many places have been helpful so any idea would be useful for me at this point.

• To trigger everytime with .click()?

  I tried to have a .click() on a <a> to find out it wont trigger every time I click, what it suppose to do is open a dialog. That is not the only problem I would need to pass a value to my jquery to. I just cant figure this one out. I need it to be a <a> because it's gone be in a dropdown menu. • C segmentation fault before/during return statement

  I print the value that I'm returning right before my return statement, and tell my code to print the value that was returned right after the function call. However, I get a segmentation fault after my first print statement and before my second (also interesting to note, this always happens on the third time the function is called; never the first or the second, never fourth or later). I tried printing out all of the data that I'm working on to see if the rest of my code was doing something it maybe shouldn't, but my data up to that point looks fine. • Help with porting thread functionality: Win32 --> .Net

  Hi, I am responsible for porting a class from legacy Win32 code to .Net and I have come across a threading model that I'm not sure how best to implement in .Net. Basically the Win32 has one worker thread, which calls WaitForMultipleObjects() and executes the particular piece of code when a particular object has been triggered. This has a sort of first-come-first-serve effect that I need to emulate in my own code. But I'm not sure how best to do this in .Net. Does anyone have any idea? I see that there is no equivalent of WaitForMultipleObjects() in .Net, only the ThreadPool class, which seems to provide most of what I need, but I'm not sure if it's the best, since I only have four objects total to wait and execute code for. • Can tapping next textfield trigger same behavior as "Done" key?

  I've got two textfields in a row for username and password. When you're finished putting in your username, the most natural thing to do is to just tap on the next textfield, like you would with a web form. But that doesn't work -- you can't edit the next field until you press "Done" on the keyboard for the first field and then tap on the second one. My question is: is it possible to set up two textfields so that you end editing on the first one and begin editing the second when you tap the second field?

  I am using nHibernate for the first time, and after alot of reading/researching, plus looking at other projects done with nHibernate, have seen a couple of implementation practices. I am looking for opinions about which would be best to use and why. Essentially the two methods are as follows: Using Data Access Objects and a DAO Factory. Example usage: INotificationListDAO nListDAO = NHDaoFactory.GetNotificationListDAO(); NotificationList list = nListDAO.GetByListID(""); Use Static methods in the Domain Object. Example usage: NotificationList list = NotificationList.GetByListID(""); NHHelper.Session.Get(id); NHHelper.Session basically calls the NHibernateSessionManager.Instace.GetSessionFrom(""). While both look similar, it is more to do with best practice. From what I understand, the first option is more so if you are developing enterprise level applications, where my requirements are more for mid-range websites.

  I am having a Java application running in a Tomcat server using Spring, Hibernate, etc. and a two web interfaces, one implemented in Tapestry 5 and the other one using Flex with BlazeDS and Spring-BlazeDS. In my first android application I would now like to log in to the server and retrieve some data. I´m wondering how I could achieve this in a secure way. First of all I need to know which technology is the best to retrieve data from the server and how can I restrict the access to users only that have been successfully authenticated. With what I read until now I would try to implement a HTTPServlet on the server and make server calls via HTTP Client. In the servlet I could probably use the HTTPSession to check if the request comes from an authenticated user. And the data I would try to send serialized (JSON). Unfortunately, I´ve never done those things and maybe I´m on the wrong way and there are more comfortable solutions.

  I am trying to write a program which neeeds to use a proxy 3 times then move onto the next proxy in a list and so on. the user will enter their proxy list into a list/textfile and the program will use the first in the list and then carry on through the list until it gets to the end. How do i get the proxy details from the list and use them using httpwebrequest? i have no problem using a proxy if i set it within the code but dont know how to get it to work through the list basically it is like this: user enters a list of proxies into a text file program uses first proxy in list 3 times then moves onto next. this repeats until finished.

• autocomplete issue with iScroll

  I am using jQuery Autocomplete on my jQUeryMobile application. It works perfect. Now I'm trying to use iScroll.js to scroll through the list of looked up items. Here is what I'am doing, http://jsfiddle.net/uXbKY/39/ The problem is, iscroll is applying only for the first item of the suggestion box, where as I'm not able to scroll through entire list.Please help me if I'm missing anything in my code.Please help me to acheive this using iScoll. I found one more way that we can use custom touch based scrollbar for autocomplete box http://jsfiddle.net/uXbKY/2/ but there is a issue that, the custom scrollbar appears only for first search and it disappears from the suggastion box when list get refreshed, Please suggest me if we can fix this, because both options are fine for me for using my autocomplete in ipad and android. or if anyone thinks there's a better way to do this than with iScroll and jScrollPane, you are wel-come I'm open to suggestions.   Hi, I'm working on a security project in javascript (something I honestly have not used), and I'm having some trouble with EventListeners. My code looks something like this: function prevclick(evt) { evt.preventDefault(); document.loginform.submitbtn.removeEventListener('click',prevclick,false); var req = new XMLHttpRequest(); req.open("GET","testlog.php?submission=complete",false); req.send(); document.loginform.submitbtn.click(); //tried this and loginform.submit() } document.loginform.submitbtn.addEventListener('click',prevclick,false); But the problem is, the submit button doesn't submit the form on the first click (it does, however, send the http request on the first click), and on the second click of the submit button, it works as normal. I think there is a problem with the synchronization, but I do need to have the request processed before forwarding the user to the next page. Any ideas on this would be great. Thanks in advance.

The only problem is that Fluent's concrete implementation of ISessionSource (SessionSource) has 3 constructors: public SessionSource(PersistenceModel model) { Initialize(new Configuration().Configure(), model); } public SessionSource(IDictionary<string, string> properties, PersistenceModel model) { Initialize(new Configuration().AddProperties(properties), model); } public SessionSource(FluentConfiguration config) { configuration = config.Configuration; sessionFactory = config.BuildSessionFactory(); dialect = Dialect.GetDialect(configuration.Properties); } I've tried configuring my ObjectFactory supplying an argument for the first constructor but it seems like it wants to try the second one. How do I configure my ObjectFactory so that I can choose the first constructor or perhaps even another one if I decide to use that?

• Does JSLint parse DOM functions?

  I tried to use the parse() function of JSLint to parse three pieces of JavaScript code: function(b, c){var a = b + c; return a; } window.addEventListener('click', click_hanlder, true); document.documentElement.innerHTML; Here's the code, which is copied and pasted from the JSLint self-parse example: ` try { parse = make_parse(); var source = "something to parse";//replaced by the code above tree = parse(source); if (tree) { document.write(JSON.stringify(tree, ['key', 'name', 'message', 'value', 'arity', 'first', 'second', 'third', 'fourth'], 4)); } } catch (e) { document.write(JSON.stringify(e, ['name', 'message', 'from', 'to', 'key', 'value', 'arity', 'first', 'second', 'third', 'fourth'], 4)); } ` The output: returns a correct tree. returns a tree with only one node of "window". crashes the browser. I'm wondering whether JSLint doesn't support DOM function.
