  • MySQL Sub-query.. Doesn't provide proper information after 3 entries into table.

    After I get 3 rows in my forum_threads table this no longer does it's job; to organize a list of active forum threads and put the most recently responded-to thread at the top of the list, followed by second most recent posted-to thread, followed by third, fourth, etc. Like I said, the query works wonders up until there is a fourth row added to forum_threads.     Hello, I have two comma separated lists:- 36,189,47,183,65,50 65,50,189,47 The question is how to compare the two in classic ASP in order to identify and return any values that exist in list 1 but that don't exist in list 2 bearing in mind that associative arrays aren't available.     Hi, I have a raw YUYV422 buffer with 8-bit 4:2:2 Component Y’CbCr format (Y0, Cb, Y1, Cr order). I know that ffmpeg's PIX_FMT_YUYV422 only handle 16-bit buffers.So I am getting Bad memory error when scaling that buffer into YUV420P. Can any one give me a clue, how can I use this buffer with ffmpeg to covert into YUV420. Thanks, Raghu

    I'm learning to apply MVP to a simple WinForms app (only one form) in C# and encountered an issue while creating the main presenter in static void Main(). Is it a good idea to expose a View from the Presenter in order to supply it as a parameter to Application.Run()? Currently, I've implemented an approach which allows me to not expose the View as a property of Presenter: static void Main() { IView view = new View(); Model model = new Model(); Presenter presenter = new Presenter(view, model); presenter.Start(); Application.Run(); } The Start and Stop methods in Presenter: public void Start() { view.Start(); } public void Stop() { view.Stop(); } The Start and Stop methods in View (a Windows Form): public void Start() { this.Show(); } public void Stop() { // only way to close a message loop called // via Application.Run(); without a Form parameter Application.Exit(); } The Application.Exit() call seems like an inelegant way to close the Form (and the application). The other alternative would be to expose the View as a public property of the Presenter in order to call Application.Run() with a Form parameter. static void Main() { IView view = new View(); Model model = new Model(); Presenter presenter = new Presenter(view, model); Application.Run(presenter.View); } The Start and Stop methods in Presenter remain the same. An additional property is added to return the View as a Form: public void Start() { view.Start(); } public void Stop() { view.Stop(); } // New property to return view as a Form for Application.Run(Form form); public System.Windows.Form View { get { return view as Form(); } } The Start and Stop methods in View (a Windows Form) would then be written as below: public void Start() { this.Show(); } public void Stop() { this.Close(); } Could anyone suggest which is the better approach and why? Or there even better ways to resolve this issue?

    Hello, I have a transparent table with width:100% which contains some html content. I use the table in order to position a content element on the screen center. The table captures mouse events, and the user can't press on links which are positioned beneath it (although it is transparent). Is there a way to tell the browser to ignore events on the table? I want to capture events only from the content inside the table (and from the rest of the site). Thanks Yaron

    I'm looking for a collection that offers list semantics, but also allows array semantics. Say I have a list with the following items: apple orange carrot pear then my container array would: container[0] == apple container[1] == orangle container[2] == carrot Then say I delete the orange element: container[0] == apple container[1] == carrot I don't particularly care if sort order is maintained, I'd just like the array values to function as accelerators to the list items, and I want to collapse gaps in the array without having to do an explicit resizing.

In pseudo code, something like: def otherMap = [hi: "world"] foo("bar", hi: "bye", otherMap*) So that it prints [hi:world] This doesn't work of course. Also, trying to pass just the map mixes the order of arguments: def otherMap = [hi: "world"] foo("bar", otherMap) will print bar How can I fix this?

  • Why does Javascript's OR return a value other than true/false?

    I saw this construction in order to get the browser viewport width: function () { return window.innerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth || document.body.clientWidth; } I understand the browser quirks involved. What I don't understand is why || returns the value. So I tried this alert(undefined || 0 || 3); and sure enough, it alerts 3. I find this bizarre, because I expect true or false. Could anyone explain what's going on?
