    Given two URLs, how can I resolve one of them against the other? I'm trying to emulate Java's URI.resolve(), which does not exist in GWT's emulation library. I've had to implement this manually, which, as you might expect has been very error-prone. Is there a GWT or Javascript library for resolving or normalizing URLs?

Is there any benefit to expose web services from the class library and reference these as opposed to referencing the actual .dll (Although one benefit of the web service approach is the granularity and thus surface area exposed is up to you at coding time)?   • Compatibility between Qt and Boost sockets libraries

    Hello In my work, I'm developing a Viewer client for a Offshore simulation server, using sockets to send the simulation data from the Simulator to de Viewer. But, the server uses Boost.asio as it's sockets library. As the client uses Qt for it's GUI, I was wondering if there is any problem in using de Qt Networking library for handling the sockets.     If .NET 3.5 is installed, but not .NET 3.5 SP1, WaitHandle.WaitOne(int) throws a MissingMethodException. I'd like to be notified earlier on if the correct version of the .NET libraries is not available, for example when the application is started. Is this possible? Update: So my question question is twofold: a) How can I determine which version of the .NET library is required by an application? b) How can I determine the currently installed version of the .NET library?

    Similar to this question. I have been tasked to develop an application using Java to send message strings from my WinXP PC to a nearby mobile phone, using only Bluetooth. I have found a free Java Bluetooth library (Bluecove) to work with, but it seems that it might not support OBEX under Windows, which as I read is necessary to perform this task. Has anyone proven this using Java? What stack and Bluetooth library did you use? Thanks. :)

    I am working on parsing plain text and converting it to key-value pairs. For example, plain text: some_uninteresting_thing key1 valueA, valueB, valueC key2 valueD key3 valueE valueF key4 valueG(valueH, valueI) key5 some_uninteresting_thing valueJ some_uninteresting_thing key6 some_uninteresting_thing (key6 shouldn't be mapped because has no appropriate values) As you can see plain text is lenient. What java library can handle this? If no such library exist, any suggestions on algorithm to do this.

  • Flash Builder 4 is suggesting mx1 instead of mx! why?

    I just bought and installed the Flash Builder 4 after having the Beta for a while. The same code is giving me compile-time errors and suggests using mx1 instead of mx! If I make it mx1 the compile error goes away.     Hello, I'm writing a customized reflective library for some specialized custom domain logic, and that library is going to use XML configuration files that will dynamically resolve System.Type objects at runtime. However, when writing the XML configuration files, it's a bit of a pain to write the types because they need to be fully qualified assembly names for Type.GetType() to resolve them. Is there a way to find out the AssemblyQualifiedName of an object in Visual Studio without resorting to writing a program to print them out to a file or standard out or anything like that ?

  • Mixing libraries with and without RTTI with GCC on Mac OS X?

    I've been banging my head on an issue and before I continue injuring myself some more, I'd like to confirm: Is it possible to have a GCC project that uses libraries that are compiled with and without RTTI? So, for example, I have project A (compiled without RTTI) that uses library B (compiled with RTTI) and library C (compiled without RTTI). In theory, is all that supposed to compile and link with no problems?

  • Can I automate the finding of -l parameter I use when linking based on header files (gcc)?

    Normally when linking against a static library, I have to specify a library directory and the name of a libX.so (or its symbolic link) as -lX flag for linking [and its directory with -L flag]. Can I automate this based on my header files (in c/c++) only? Or maybe it is not a good idea? Is there a software for locating the -L and -l parameters automatically? Is some table stored somewhere on the system about this on popular linux systems or even cygwin?

  • How to pick a chunksize for python multiprocessing with large datasets

    I am attempting to to use python to gain some performance on a task that can be highly parallelized using http://docs.python.org/library/multiprocessing. When looking at their library they say to use chunk size for very long iterables. Now, my iterable is not long, one of the dicts that it contains is huge: ~100000 entries, with tuples as keys and numpy arrays for values. How would I set the chunksize to handle this and how can I transfer this data quickly? Thank you.
