  • JQuery not copying state dropdown list 1 to DDL2 on checkbox change

    I've looked at similar posts on the subject but none of the recommended solutions have worked for me so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I have a billing and shipping address form with a dropdown list for the state. Upon checking/unchecking the "billing address same as shipping" everything copies over except the state dropdown list. The state dropdown list is populated from a SQLDataSource state table. When I try to click for second time an error displays: $.fn.colorbox is not a function. How can i correct that error and avoid a double click to bind colorbox.     We implement a plugin framework for our application and load plugin assemblies using Assembly.Loadfrom. We then use GetTypes() and further examine the types with each plugin file for supported Interfaces. A path for the plugins is provided by the user and we cycle through each of the files in the folder to see if it (the plugin) supports our plugin interface. If it does, we create an instance, if not we move onto the next file. We build two versions of software from the one code base (appA_1 and appA_2). Loading the plugins works well when the plugins are loaded by the application that was built at the same time as the plugin file. However if we build appA_2 and point to the plugin folder of appA_1, we get an exception when GetTypes() is called. A basic version of our code is; var pluginAssembly = Assembly.LoadFrom(FileName); foreach (var pluginType in pluginAssembly.GetTypes()) { We get a "ReflectionTypeLoadException" exception. This is concerning because we want our application to be able to load the types of any plugin, built by anyone. Is there something we are missing?

    I am having comment reply (only till one level) functionality. All comments can have as many as replies but no replies can have their further replies. So to fetch the comments and their replies, one simple method is first I fetch all the comments having ParentId as 0 and then by running a while loop fetch all the replies of that particular commentId. But that seems to be running hundreds of queries if I'll have around 200 comments on a particular record. So I want to make a query which will fetch Comments with their replies sequentially as following; Id ParentId Comment 1 0 this is come sample comment text 4 1 this is come sample comment text 7 1 this is come sample comment text 2 0 this is come sample comment text 3 0 this is come sample comment text 6 3 this is come sample comment text 5 0 this is come sample comment text I also have a comment date column in my comment table, if anyone wants to use this with comment query.     I'm working on upgrading my project from CakePHP 1.2 to 1.3. In the process, it seems that the "magic" routing for plugins by which a controller name (e.g.: "ForumsController") matching the plugin name (e.g.: "forums") no longer automatically routes to the root of the plugin URL (e.g.: "www.example.com/forums" pointing to plugin "forums", controller "forums", action "index"). The error message given is as follows: Error: ForumsController could not be found. Error: Create the class ForumsController below in file: app/controllers/forums_controller.php <?php class ForumsController extends AppController { var $name = 'Forums'; } ?> In fact, even if I navigate to "www.example.com/forums/forums" or "www.example.com/forums/forums/index", I get the same exact error. Do I need to explicitly set up routes to every single plugin I use? This seems to destroy a lot of the magic I like about CakePHP. Is there a better solution that will cover all my plugins, or at least reduce the number of routes I need to set up for each plugin?

    I have a requirement for the project I'm working on right now which is proving a bit tricky for me. Basically I have to sort an array of items based on the Text property of those items: Here are my items: var answers = [], answer1 = { Id: 1, Text: '3-4 weeks ago' }, answer2 = { Id: 2, Text: '1-2 weeks ago' }, answer3 = { Id: 3, Text: '7-8 weeks ago' }, answer4 = { Id: 4, Text: '5-6 weeks ago' }, answer5 = { Id: 5, Text: '1-2 days ago' }, answer6 = { Id: 6, Text: 'More than 1 month ago' }; answers.push(answer1); answers.push(answer2); answers.push(answer3); answers.push(answer4); answers.push(answer5); answers.push(answer6); I need to analyse the Text property of each item so that, after the sorting, the array looks like this: answers[0] = { Id: 6, Text: 'More than 1 month ago' } answers[1] = { Id: 3, Text: '7-8 weeks ago' } answers[2] = { Id: 4, Text: '5-6 weeks ago' } answers[3] = { Id: 1, Text: '3-4 weeks ago' } answers[4] = { Id: 2, Text: '1-2 weeks ago' } answers[5] = { Id: 5, Text: '1-2 days ago' } The logic is that, the furthest away the date, the more high priority it is, so it should appear first in the array. So "1-2 days" is less of a priority then "7-8 weeks". So the logic is that, I need to extract the number values, and then the units (e.g. days, weeks) and somehow sort the array based on those details. Quite honestly I'm finding it very difficult to come up with a solution, and I'd appreciate any help.

    In python, I can alter the state of an instance by directly assigning to attributes, or by making method calls which alter the state of the attributes: foo.thing = 'baz' or: foo.thing('baz') Is there a nice way to create a class which would accept both of the above forms which scales to large numbers of attributes that behave this way? (Shortly, I'll show an example of an implementation that I don't particularly like.) If you're thinking that this is a stupid API, let me know, but perhaps a more concrete example is in order. Say I have a Document class. Document could have an attribute title. However, title may want to have some state as well (font,fontsize,justification,...), but the average user might be happy enough just setting the title to a string and being done with it ...     I have just installed the DuckDuckGo add-on in Firefox 11.0, running on XP SP 3. I would like to add additional parameters to the query string. However, any changes I make are not reflected in the query string when doing a search. I found the duckduckgo.xml file at C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Profile Name.default\searchplugins.   • Why is text on my TV monitor all grainy?

    I have successfully installed the Catalyst drivers and hooked up my 1080p TV to the Radeon HD 5750's HDMI port and now it is working. There only seems to be one issue - most images appear OK, at least to my eyes, but text is grainy and difficult to read (not sure how well it can be seen in the picture): It works fine with a smaller screen, and hopefully you can see it with the new pictures which are only slightly better, but images are rendered a little funny too. Changing antialiasing does nothing and changing the refresh rate only makes a slight change if any. The small monitor I have works fine. Smaller resolutions such as 1024x768 look OK but are the wrong aspect ratio. I have tried renaming the input mode on the TV to "PC", and that helped... a little bit. Also, I tried a different PC with the same result. Messing around extensively with the ATI Catalyst Control Center also did not help. I am wondering if there is anything else I can try to increase the quality so it is more usable.

    I have a site currently written with HTML5 tags. I'd like to be able to parse the site as XML, with support for namespaces, etc, to facilitate programmatic extraction of data. Currently I have <!DOCTYPE html> and <meta charset="utf-8"> Which I gather is equivalent in HTML5 to explicitly setting the content-types as <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> for my current setup. In order to serve XML it sounds like the right thing to do is <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> Should I also change my Content-Type to <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Or is that not necessary? What is the advantage of having content-type be "application/xhtml+xml"? What is the disadvantage? (Sounds like it may break internet explorer rendering of the site? but maybe that information is out of date now?) Many thanks!

Currently when I quit man or ctrl-C, the man text disappears and I see the scrollback buffer that was there before I performed the 'man' command. I would like to still see the 'man' text I was viewing as a reference while I'm typing the command at the command prompt without opening a second window, how can I do that?
