• hosting 2 webapps under 1 apache/tomcat

  I am trying to host multiple webapps under tomcat 6 behind apache2 via mod_jk. • How to remove fastaddressbar?

  somehow I downloaded and installed spyware or malware. I do not know. I know that if I write somethin in field where you put as a website link I get web engine results but not by google but fastaddressbar.. It is part of websearch toolbar. Most of them was blocked and added to quarantine by my antivirus comodo however I still do not know how restore fast search in firefox to get results from google. Please help :(

• Web server send outgoing request to specific isp gateway

  I have a server with 5 ISP connections, i am using Apache web server and php engine to run my application. Outgoing request to different API now needs to be send through a specific ISP (or a different IPs). All my API request are sent using PHP and Web server. I am not sure that php will directly communicate with Gateway or it send request via web server. Please help me to setup this. Thanks in advance.

• Two VHosts Use Same DocumentRoot, PHP Not Working on Second VHost

  I'm helping maintain an e-commerce site that is run on Magento. This site is an outlet for our wholesale customers. We have recently decided to open a second store to reach out to our Retail customers. We decided to set up another website inside of our magento store so that we can share the products across both stores. I'm in the process of setting up this new site on the server, but have run into an issue. I've set up the second vhost for the new retail site, and I've made the DocumentRoot for this vhost the same as for the wholesale site, so we can use one magento application for both sites. This is where the error occurs. When I browse to the new store it triggers a download of the index.php file. So I know the DocumentRoot directive is working, but it seems like PHP is being broken in the process. I'm using plesk to manage the server. I've made sure that PHP is turned on in both vhosts and still get the same issue. Does this sound like a problem of PHP breaking, or is it possible my vhost.conf file is set up incorrectly? (Although the vhost is managed by plesk and appears correct) Any help will be much appreciated. • Slash after domain in URL missing for Rails site

  After redirecting users in a Rails app, for some reason the slash after the domain is missing. Generated URLs are invalid and I'm forced to manually correct them. The problem only occurs on a subdomain. On a different primary domain (same server), everything works ok. For example, after logging out, the site is directing to https://www.sub.domain.comlogin/ rather than https://www.sub.domain.com/login I suspect the issue has something to do with the vhost setup, but I'm not sure. • Are Google Chrome's suggestions encrypted?

  Some of you might have noticed that Google has changed their search to use SSL by default. I noticed that even if you set your search engine on Chrome to unsecured Google, the results are delivered via HTTPS. I was wondering if the suggestions typed on the address bar are also sent via SSL. If not, how can I make them so? I can change the default search provider to Google SSL, but then I lose the suggestions.

Here's what a nmap of my IP provides: PORT STATE SERVICE 23/tcp open telnet 80/tcp open http 2800/tcp open unknown 8008/tcp open http I would like to know How to view What service is causing Port 2800 to be opened? A few search engine results led me to believe that it is supposedly a port opened by a Trojan called "Theef". If it is indeed a Trojan, what can be done to weed it out? Is my desktop's security compromised?

  I'm trying to set up a web site to allow the creation of a semaphore file to close the site. The logic I want to follow is: when the semaphore file exists and the request is not for /style.css or /favicon.icon show the content of /closed.html I have 1 and 3 working, but my exceptions for 2 result in a processing loop when style.css or favicon.ico are requested. This is my most recent attempt: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/style.css RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/favicon.ico RewriteCond /usr/local/etc/site/closed -f RewriteRule ^.*$ /closed.html [L] This is in a VirtualHost block, not in a Directory. There is no .htaccess file in play. I have also recently tried this, based on an answer I found elsewhere, but with the same (looping) result: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/style.css [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/favicon.ico RewriteRule ^.*$ - [L] RewriteCond /usr/local/etc/site/closed -f RewriteRule ^.*$ /closed.html [L] I expect a request for /style.css or /favicon.ico to fail to match one of the first two rewrite conditions, which should prevent the URI from being rewritten, which should stop the mod_rewrite iteration. However, mod_rewrite seems to think the URI has been rewritten in those cases, and iterates over the rules again (and again, and again). The above works properly in all cases except for style.css or favicon.ico. In those cases I exceed the loop limits. What am I missing here to cause the rewrite iteration to stop when someone requests style.css or favicon.ico? EDIT: Here's a loglevel 9 example of what happens using the first ruleset when a request arrives for /style.css. I am running Eclipse Gallileo Build id: 20100218-1602 on Windows 7 Ultimate I am running php 5.3.8 The Zend Extension Build and PHP Extension Build are both - API220090626,TS,VC9 Solutions Tried: I have verified that port 9000 is available for use, I have even tried other ports as a double check that ports was not the issue. That includes setting the ports in both the php.ini file and in the Eclipse development environment. • netbeans 6.8 php, xdebug, mamp - cannot establish a connection

  I'm having no luck whatsoever with debuggers either on Zend Studio or NetBeans. I cannot believe the difficulty I'm having with these IDE's. I've read all the prior questions on netbeans-xdebug problems. According to those answers, my configuration is correct. Nonetheless, when I try to run xdebug, NetBeans hangs. I cancel the connection and get the popup dialog: "There is no connection, blah blah blah..." Here's my php.ini [xdebug] ; Xdebug config for Mac OS X and NetBeans IDE zend_extension=/Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/xdebug.so xdebug.remote_enable=on xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_mode=req xdebug.remote_host=127.0.0.1 xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey=netbeans-xdebug In NetBeans preferences, my session ID = netbeans-xdebug.   Hi guys, This is not a really Programming Question, but please bear with me as it's related to the IDE that we use to develop and I'm really Stuck! :( Every time I create a project (can be an empty project) I get the message above when pressing Run or Debug. I have no Web Servers running the Web Share is off, the Zend Server as well MAMP is Off, the app itself does nothing as it's a blank project and if I run it on the iPhone/iPad Simulator, the app just opens and closes automatically :-/ I'm all new to monoTouch, but I wonder, does anyone has this problem and know what should I do? • Enable PDO for PHP5 on CentOS5 where PHP is configured as '--disable-pdo'

  Hi I have been given access to a CentOS5 machine by my client for their new site which uses Zend Framework. phpinfo() states in Configure Command that PDO is disabled ('--disable-pdo'). How can enable it? Do I need to recompile PHP5 to enable it? I have tried adding 'extension=pdo.so' in php.ini and restarting Apache, but this didn't work. It would also be nice to understand what '--disable-pdo' actaully means, does it mean it's not compiled into PHP or does it mean its just not enabled? Thanks for your time

  Hello - I mostly code in Visual Studio, I like it, but lately it's making me feel a little claustrophobic. On my MacBook Pro, I've set up PHP5 and MySQL (natively). With the built-in server on the mac, does this constitute a LAMP stack? Is Mac OSX considered a Linux Environment? I have VMWare Fusion 3, should I set up a Linux OS virtually in order to implement a LAMP stack? Should I just use CakePHP or Zend? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  We currently use MySource Matrix CMS for large projects, Wordpress CMS for small projects and Zend Framework for bespoke applications... I'm not trying to confuse and compare a CMS to a framework, that has been done before :-) I want to identify a few CMSs for review that have foundations in strong (preferably independent) PHP frameworks. The only one I have looked at is SilverStripe CMS and Sapphire Framework. We have many clients that have a CMS for internet and/ or extranet and then various other bespoke applications that are then integrated via various means to look like they're in the CMS. I believe it will be more productive and beneficial to have a common framework between these branches so they can be natively merged. Hope this makes sense. PS. I have used custom assets in MySource Matrix and specific modules in other CMS but you feel you are working for the CMS not the application you are building.

• Best method for Flex to PHP communication?

  What is the best method for communication between Flex and PHP? In the past, we used AMFPHP with AS2, and it worked great for the most part (advantage of AMFPHP is that it also has a JSON mode that can let you seamlessly use the same remote PHP with either Javascript or Actionscript frontends). However, it seems like AMFPHP isn't realy maintained anymore. So what do people recommend to replace it? So far, what I've found is: Zend_AMF (looks too complex for us, we're not using the Zend framework otherwise) AMFPHP (there were some updated made to support Flex, and it seems fairly stable, but not sure on long-term support) XML (AS3 has nice XML handling routines, but it's more of a pain on the PHP side) WebORB (I have no experience with this) Roll-our-own using JSON or some other data-to-text serialization system (php's serialize(), XML, etc etc) Mostly I'm leaning towards AMFPHP, even because of the downsides, since that's what I'm used to. Any reason I should consider switching to something else?

I'm just a bit distracted on the idea of encapsulation and the test driven approach. My idea behind encapsulation is to hide access to several object functionalities. To make it more clear, private and protected functions are not directly testable(unless you will create a public function to call it). So I end up converting some private and protected functions to public functions just to be able to test them. I'm really violating the principles of encapsulation to give way to micro function testability. Is this the correct way of doing it?
