  • Selenium RC slower on Windows 7 than on XP?

    I've got two systems, one with Windows XP and another with 7, both running Firefox 3.6, the same version of Selenium RC and the newest nunit. When I run tests on 7, it is executed extremely slowly (I mean walking by textbox and setting its values), but when I execute this script on Windows XP it is extremely fast. Do you have the same experience? Do you know what the problem might be?

    Hi, I am using axWnidowsMediaPlayer in my windows mobile application with compact framework 3.5 . It was working beautifully few days ago but now whenever i try to play a song from url it shows the message "Can not play the file.The file is either corrupted or the player does not support the format you are playing" The same url is not played by the phone's wmplayer also but when I try to play it with the systems wmplayer it plays the same url successfully.

For example, I once improved the performance of a certain page on a high-profile web app by a factor of 10, just by moving "where customerID = ?" to a different place inside a complicated SQL statement (before my change it had been selecting all customers in a join, then later selecting out the desired customer).

    Basically I have dataframe with two columns (target_id and fpkm). I want to keep only those row names in first column that are not duplicated.     i am trying to create a statement in sql (for a table which holds stock symbols and price on specified date) with avg of 5 day price and avg of 15 days price for each symbol. table description: symbol open high close date the average price is calculated from last 5 days and last 15 days. i tried this for getting 1 symbol: SELECT avg(close), avg(`trd_qty`) FROM (select * from cashmarket WHERE symbol = \'hdil\' order by `M_day` desc limit 0,15 ) s ...but I couldn't get the desired the list for showing avg values for all symbols.

I want to clean up only old failed builds, is there anyway to do that in TeamCity? Normal clean-up policy only allows X days before the last successful build sort of clean ups.

    Hello, I have to do something like this string = " this is a good example to show" search = array {this,good,show} find and replace them with a token like string = " {1} is a {2} example to {3}" (order is intact) the string will undergo some processing and then string = " {1} is a {2} numbers to {3}" (order is intact) tokens are again replaced back to the string likem so that the string becomes string = " this is a good number to show" How should it be implemented so that the process is done at high performance ?   • MongoDB query against geospatial index with maxDistance fails from node.js client

    I want to query against a geospatial index in mongo-db (designed after this tutorial http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Geospatial+Indexing). So when I execute this from the shell everything works fine: db.sellingpoints.find(( { location : { $near: [48.190120, 16.270895], $maxDistance: 7 / 111.2 } } ); but the same query from my nodejs application (using mongoskin or mongoose), won't return any results until i set the distance-value to a very high number (5690) db.collection('sellingpoints') .find({ location: { $near: [lat,lng], $maxDistance: distance / 111.2} }) .limit(limit) .toArray(callback); Has someone any idea how to fix that?

    Another XSD question - how can I achieve that the following XML elements are both valid: <some-element> <type>1</type> <a>...</a> </some-element> <some-element> <type>2</type> <b>...</b> </some-element> The sub-elements (either <a> or <b>) should depend on the content of <type> (could also be an attribute). It would be so simple in RelaxNG - but RelaxNG doesn't support key integrity :( Is there a way to implement this in XSD? Note: XML schema version 1.1 supports <xs:alternative>, which might be a solution, but afaik no reference implementation (e.g. libxml2) supports this yet. So I'm searching for workarounds. The only way I've come up with is: <type>1</type> <some-element type="1"> <!-- simple <xs:choice> between <a> and <b> goes here --> <a>...</a> </some-element> <!-- and now create a keyref between <type> and @type -->

    We have recently updated a java application which runs on an Ubuntu PC, and are now experiencing a graphics problem that we didn't encounter before. The system is running constantly, and randomly maybe twice a month but sometimes within a few days the systems graphics will freeze, and the gnome panels are frozen.   • Configuration file for PHP server script

Every one of these scripts opens up a config file that I have created to load options of how the script should run. Doing a file I/O operation everytime a request comes in seems very resource intensive to me.
