    Hi All, I have a source column with blank (not "NULL"), and target as numeric. while converting using the data conversion it is not converting due to balnk source value so I used derived column to replace a blank value with NULL or 0 as (source column == " ") ? "0" : source column but its not giving the value as 0 in the blank place. thanks prav

    I've spent far too much time trying to figure this out. This should be the simplest thing and everyone who distributes Java applications in jars must have to deal with it. I just want to know the proper way to add versioning to my Java app so that I can access the version information when I'm testing, e.g. debugging in Eclipse and running from a jar.   • linux piping ( convert -> pdf2ps -> lp)

    Ok, so I can print a pdf doing: pdf2ps file.pdf - | lp -s But now I want to use convert to merge several pdf files, I can do this with: convert file1.pdf file2.pdf merged.pdf which merges file1.pdf and file2.pdf into merged.pdf, target can be replaced with '-'. Question How could I pipe convert into pdf2ps and then into lp though?

    I'm trying to render a world map shapefile on my Geoserver with a Mercator projection. I've tried declaring the SRS on Geoserver and defining EPSG projections of 3785 or 900913 in Openlayers with no success. I've also tried to reproject the shapefile using ogr2ogr but the result is slightly off.     If a particular piece of software is made to be run on one platform and the programmer/company/whatever wants to port it to the other, what exactly is done? I mean, do they just rewrite linux or windows-specific references to the equivalent in the other? Or is an entire rewrite necessary? Just trying to understand what makes it so cost-prohibitive that so many major vendors don't port their software to Linux (specifically thinking about Adobe) Thanks
