• Question regarding Manifest in Java jar file

  Hi All, Is is mandatory to have classpath inside a Manifest file inside the java jar file? can we do work without having the classpath inside it? The reason why I am asking this is because I have a jar file for a server application. When I tried to connect many connections with Server, Server went down and the error was "Too many open files", when searched about it, I found one Sun Bug http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6446657 . • Axis2 webservice (aar archive) properties file

  Hi there, guys. I'm currently developing a set of SOAP webservices over Axis2, deployed over a clustered WebLogic 10.3.2 environment. My webservices use some user settings that I want to be editable without the need for recompiling and regenerating the AAR archive. With this in mind, I chose to put them into a properties file that is loaded and consumed in runtime. Unfortunately, I'm having some questions about this: As far as I know, to achieve what I want, the only option is to put the properties file into the ../axis2/WEB-INF/classes directory of each one of the deployments (on each WebLogic instance) I currently have on my clustered configuration, and then load the file, as follows (or equivalent, this has not been verified for optimization): InputStreamReader fMainProp = new InputStreamReader(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("myfile.properties")); Properties mainProp = new Properties(); mainProp.load(fMainProp); This is not as practical as I wanted it to be, because each time I want to alter some setting on the properties file, I have to edit each one of the files (deployed over different WebLogic instances) and there is a high probability of modifying one of these files without modifying the others. What I would like to know is if there is any (better) alternative to accomplish what I want, minimizing the potential conflict of configuration that is created by distributing and replicating the properties file through multiple WebLogic instances.

• How to force InnoSetup to create an uninstall log file

  Hi I'm using InnoSetup for creating my application installers and I set the "SetupLogging=yes" flag to always create a setup-log file in the %TEMP% directory. This works fine for the installation procedure. Unfortunately, InnoSetup will not create such a log file when I uninstall the application. Is there a flag / possibility to force InnoSetup to also create an uninstall log file?

• Missing ant-javamail.jar file on Macintosh

  I've been running the built-in Ant from the command line on a Macintosh (10.5.5) and have run into some trouble with the Mail task. Running the Mail task produces the following message: [mail] Failed to initialise MIME mail: org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.email.MimeMailer This is most likely due to a missing ant-javamail.jar file in the /usr/share/ant/lib directory. I see a "ant-javamail-1.7.0.pom" file in this directory but not the appropriate jar file. Anyone know why this jar file might be missing and what the best way to resolve the problem is?

• Maven problem with invalid jar file which is actually html

  i'm running into a problem in my maven build recently, that it downloads a jar file for the javamail-1.4.jar or something, but it turns out the file is not a real jar file, it's actually a html with a link to where to get the correct jar. it seems to be the repo has changed for that. but in my maven setting everything is supposely to go to our internal repo, i don't know how did that happen. but anyways, more importantly, how do i fix this problem so that it will download the correct jar file on a fresh install? thanks!

This file does have multiple lines of header information which I'll need to strip out down the road, but the number of lines of header is known. • Objective-C Interface Builder don't see renamed class

  Hi, I've renamed a UITableViewController class in Xcode, which was used as a parent class in a XIB. The Interface Builder still uses the old name for that class and it compiles and works fine. Interface Builder doesn't see the new name of the class and when I try to type in manually, it compiles and gives me an exception at the runtime: "Unknown class ... in Interface Builder file." Is there a way to update the class name in the Interface Builder? Thanks

• Reading a WAV file into VST.Net to process with a plugin

  Hello, I'm trying to use the VST.Net and NAudio frameworks to build an application that processes audio using a VST plugin. Ideally, the application should load a wav or mp3 file, process it with the VST, and then write a new file. I have done some poking around with the VST.Net library and was able to compile and run the samples (specifically the VST Host one). What I have not figured out is how to load an audio file into the program and have it write a new file back out. I'd like to be able to configure the properties for the VST plugin via C#, and be able to process the audio with 2 or more consecutive VSTs. Using NAudio, I was able to create this simple script to copy an audio file.   The following code fetch all data (by clicking a.info link) from a php file "info.php" and prints in the #content div. The problem is that it prints everything from info.php file. Can I possibly select only some part of data from info.php file to load in #content?   Sorry for the long and yet still somehow vague title! A friend of mine has a Flash Action script running on a LAMP server that currently reads an xml config file. He's asked me if it's possible to remove the xml file, and replace it somehow with a system (lets call it an 'auto xml generator') that intercepts the request to read that file and generates an output, so it appears to all intents and purposes as if the file still exists and contains the contents that has actually been returned from our auto xml generator Hours of Googling has failed to come up with any promising leads, can anyone offer any advice? The other two assemblies add fine, which is no surprise because they're the code that the compiler is actually executing from and exist in the executable directory. Any clue what I need to do to fix this? Maybe I could just drop those DLLs in the executable directory, but that feels like a dumb idea.

• VIM: Close file without quiting VIM application?

  I am new to VIM. I use e and w commands to edit and to write a file. It is very convenient. I am not sure if there is "close" command to close the current file without leaving VIM? I know that q command can be used to close a file. But if it is the last file, the VIM is closed as well(actually on Mac the MacVIM does quit. Only the VIM window is closed and I could use Control-N to open a blank VIM again). I would like the VIM to stay with a blank screen.

My current fastcgi conf looks as follows: server.modules += ( "mod_fastcgi" ) fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => (( "socket" => "/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket", "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "allow-x-send-file" => "enable", "max-procs" => 1, "broken-scriptfilename" => "enable" )) ) If anyone could suggest if there is anything wrong in the configuration it would be greatly appreciated, or any suggestion as to what I might do?
