  • What is wrong with my XSLT for the XML File?

    Actually my XML file has SVG info, and my Project lead wants me to develop an XSLT for the XMl file to convert it in to a PDF file. But when I try to do so I am failing to convert the XML file to PDF, can anyone help me out in this.......   • Segmentation fault when creating a Phonon MediaObject

    I have music playing program made using PySide which uses Phonon to playback audio. I updated to MacOS X Mavericks a few days ago, which meant I needed to reinstall PySide. I'm not sure which of these actions has caused this, but now whenever I try to create a Phonon MediaObject I get a Segmentation Fault: 11 from Python.     In both Haskell and OCaml, it's possible to call into the language from C programs. How feasible would it be to create Native applications for either Windows, Mac, or Linux which made extensive use of this technique? (I know that there are GUI libraries like wxHaskell, but suppose one wanted to just have a portion of your application logic in the foreign language.) Or is this a terrible idea?

  • Debugging in XCode as root

    In my program I need to create sockets and bind them to listen HTTP port (80). The program works fine when I launch it from command line with sudo, escalating permissions to root. Running under XCode gives a 'permission denied' error on the call to binding function (asio::ip::tcp::acceptor::bind()). How can I do debugging under XCode? All done in C++ and boost.asio on Mac OS X 10.5 with XCode 3.1.2.

    i wonder how i could store a xml structure in a persistence layer. cause the relational data looks like: <entity id="1000070"> <name>apple</name> <entities> <entity id="7002870"> <name>mac</name> <entities> <entity id="7002907"> <name>leopard</name> <entities> <entity id="7024080"> <name>safari</name> </entity> <entity id="7024701"> <name>finder</name> </entity> </entities> </entity> </entities> </entity> <entity id="7024080"> <name>iphone</name> <entities> <entity id="7024080"> <name>3g</name> </entity> <entity id="7024701"> <name>3gs</name> </entity> </entities> </entity> <entity id="7024080"> <name>ipad</name> </entity> </entities> </entity> as you can see, it has no static structure but a dynamical one. mac got 2 descendant levels while iphone got 1 and ipad got 0. i wonder how i could store this data the best way? what are my options. cause it seems impossible to store it in a mysql database due to this dynamical structure. is the only way to store it as a xml file then? is the speed of getting information (xpath/xquery/simplexml) from a xml file worse or greater than from mysql? what are the pros and cons? do i have other options? is storing information in xml files, suited for a lot of users accessing it at the same time? would be great with feedbacks!! thanks!

The one feature in C99 that I really like is the ability to declare variables anywhere in code, rather than just at the top of methods, but does this flag causes any problems or create incompatibilities for iPhone or Cocoa apps?

  • Connection Refused running multiple environments on Selenium Grid 1.04 via Ubuntu 9.04

    Hello, I'm writing a selenium grid test suite which is going to be run on a series of different machines. I wrote most of it on my macbook but have recently transfered it over to my work machine, which is running ubuntu 9.04. That's actually my first experience with a linux machine, so I may be missing something very simple (I have disabled the firewall though). I haven't been able to get the multienvironment thing working at all, and I've been trying and manual reviewing for a while. Any recommendations and help would be greatly, greatly appreciated! The error I'm getting when I run the test is: [java] FAILED CONFIGURATION: @BeforeMethod startFirstEnvironment("localhost", 4444, "*safari", "http://remoteURL:8080/tutor") [java] java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not start Selenium session: ERROR: Connection refused I thought it might be the mac refusing the connection, but using wireshark I determined that no connection attempt was made on the mac . Anyone have any recommendations. Good is more important than free, but free certainly helps. I can use Windows or Mac for this job.

  • Optimizing UITableView

    I have a UITableview made up with a custom cell loaded from a nib. This custom cell has 9 UILabel s and thats all. When scrolling the table on my iPhone the tables scrolling motion is slightly jerky, its not as smooth as other tableviews! (On the simulator it scrolls fine but I guess its using the extra power of my mac) Are there any tips to help optimize this or any tableview or methods to help find the bottleneck. Many Thanks
