  • image doesnt always render on web page

    One of my png files does not always get diplayed in the browser (both in firefox and IE). In firebug the image is visible. sometimes ill even see the image start loading and halfway it fizzles. what could this be.? the image is appx 10kb.

  • Shell Prompt Line Wrapping Issue

    I've done something to break my Bash Shell Prompt in OS X (10.5.7) Terminal. This is the PS1 that I had configured: PS1='\[\e[1;32m\]\h\[\e[0m\]:\[\e[1;34m\]\w\[\e[0m\]\$ ' As far as I can tell I have the color commands escaping correctly. However when I scroll up and down in my command history I often get line wrapping issues if the historic commands wrap onto multiple lines. I simplified my prompts to the following: PS1='\[\e[1m\]\h:\w\$ \[\e[0m\]' PS2='> ' And I still see something like: localhost:~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/knpmxpup.Defau lt/extensions/{1A2D0EC4-75F5-4c91-89C4-3656F6E44B68}$ expocd \{1A2D0EC4-7 5F5-4c91-89C4-3656F6E export PS1="\[ \e[1;32m\]\h\[\e[0m\]: cd Library/Appl ication\ Support/ I've also tried \033 instead of \e. I just included PS2 up there for information, I haven't changed that from the install default. If I completely remove the color codes then everything works fine, any ideas?

  • How to check font-size in IE6+

    Hi All, I am wondering is there any way we can test the font size/color of a webpage in IE6+. I think it is not possible by checking the css class, as some other style may overwrite the styles of the class which has been assinged to that text. Actually I want to know the browser assigned font-size to the text of the page, as we can do it in firebug on firefox. Any help would be appreciated.

    The situation: I need to create about 40+ solutions that all reference 3 projects and have one project that is unique to each one. I'd like to create a multi-project template that does this, but from what I've read it looks like it's very difficult or impossible (related SO question, but doesn't answer). I want my solution to look like this (names changed of course): These three are used by all solutions created under this "family": MyCompany.Extensions MyCompany.MyProject.Tests.Shared MyCompany.MyProject.Scripts This one is the one that makes the solution unique, 123, 124, 125 etc: MyCompany.MyProject.Tests.Unit123 Is it possible to set up a multi-project template that will generate this structure?     what is the right way to setup VisualStuio 2010 for working with *.cl files? I have added *.cl under Tool/Text editor/File extensions and copied usertype.dat into the common7/ide folder, but VS underlines keywords like float4 or cross. Is it necessary to add some key in registry or can somebody propose a tutorial? Thanks in advance. PS i have already asked similar question old one question, but now i am looking explicit for a solution with vs2010. It is not bad, but really nerves and deflects me from programming tasks.

    Hi, Recently I had some issues with Flash in IE, involving a SWF which is something like a gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly sometimes. The first time it is loaded its works fine but when I refresh all the images are blank. The image data came from XML. I wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and Flash / SWF behavior in each.   • How do I stop Opera from caching a page?

    I am trying to get Opera to re-request a page every time instead of just serving it from the cache. I'm sending the 'Cache-control=no-cache' and 'Pragma: no-cache' response headers but it seems as if Opera is just ignoring these headers. It works fine in other browsers - Chrome, IE, Firefox. How do I stop Opera from caching pages? What I want to be able to do is have Opera re-request a page when the user clicks the Back button on the browser.

  • Rails 3 and encrypted cookies with IE9

    I am using encrypted cookies to pass data to my rails app. Once these cookies get set, they are being passed just fine to Chrome, Firefox, Safari (iOS and OSX version), etc. However, the cookie isn't being passed back on Win7/IE9. I'm using Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3, and using the cookies.permanent.encrypted method of setting the cookie. E.g: cookies.permanent.encrypted[:some_data] = object.some_data Any ideas about what's going on?

  • Endless scroll paging in jquery Safari

    I'm using : $(window).scroll(function () { if ($(window).scrollTop() + 10 >= ($(document).height() - $(window).height())) { loadContent(); } } It works fine with Chrome, IE, Firefox but except in Safari. In function loadContent, I used JSON to load data, as this tutorial. But while I test in Safari, It takes the content twice from JSON. If the other takes 9 items, then Safari takes 18 items. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks.

    Hi, Is there a way to call an R-Script within C-Code? I did find the R Api for C (chaper 6. of the 'Writing R Extensions' manual), but as far as I understood this does "only" allow to call the C-Implementation of R. Of cause I could call the R-Script via shell, but that's no solution for me, since this does not allow proper passing of data (at least no if I don't what to write the data into a Csv-File or something like this). Is there a easy way of using the R to C parser beforehand? Any hints you can give me? regards, Tiny

    I would like to see some source code or maybe a link to some that gives at least a stub for writing ruby gems in the C languages (C++?? is that possible too?) Also, some of you may know that Facebook compiles some of their code natively as php extensions for better performance. Is anyone doing this in Rails? If so, what has been your experience with it? Have you found it to be useful? Thanks.     i just installed MAMP on this iMac and the rubygems but when i run: sudo gem install mysql — –with-mysql-config=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config gives me Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing mysql: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby extconf.rb mkmf.rb can't find header files for ruby at /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/ruby.h Gem files will remain installed in /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mysql-2.8.1 for inspection.
