  • Python - Calling a non python program from python?

    Hi, I am currently struggling to call a non python program from a python script. I have a ~1000 files that when passed through this C++ program will generate ~1000 outputs. Each output file must have a distinct name. The command I wish to run is of the form: program_name -input -output -o1 -o2 -o3 To date I have tried: import os cwd = os.getcwd() files = os.listdir(cwd) required_files = [] for i in file: if i.endswith('.ttp'): required_files.append(i) So, I have an array of the neccesary files. My problem - how do I iterate over the array and for each entry, pass it to the above command (program_name) as an argument and specify a unique output id for each file? Much appreciated, S :-)

    I am testing out an Android application I wrote with google maps. The DDMS is not loading the KML/GPX files I found on the internet. What I assume is that the files are relatively old in format (Maximum 2007) and the DDMS cannot read them. I was wondering if there is somewhere I can download a sample KML or GPX file that I can use to test out my application.

  • Why LINQ to Entities won't let me initialize just some properties of an Entity?

    So I've started to add Entity Framework 4 into a legacy web application (ASP.NET WebForms). As a start I have auto-generated some entities from the database. Also I want to apply Repository Pattern. There is an entity called Visitor and its repository VisitorRepository In VisitorRepository I have the following method: public IEnumerable<Visitor> GetActiveVisitors() { var visitors = from v in _context.Visitors where v.IsActive select new Visitor { VisitorID = v.VisitorID, EmailAddress = v.EmailAddress, RegisterDate = v.RegisterDate, Company = v.Company, Position = v.Position, FirstName = v.FirstName, LastName = v.LastName }; return visitors.ToList(); } That List is then bound to a repeater and when trying to do <%# Eval('EmailAddress') #%> it throws the following exception. The entity or complex type 'Model.Visitor' cannot be constructed in a LINQ to Entities query. A) Why is this happening? How I can workaround this? Do I need to select an anonymous type and then use that to initialize my entities??? B) Why every example I've seen makes use of 'select new' (anonymous object) instead of initializing a known type? Anonymous types are useless unless you are retrieving the data and showing it in the same layer. As far as I know anonymous types cannot be returned from methods? So what's the real point of them???     I've installed ELMAH 1.1 .Net 3.5 x64 in my ASP.NET project and now I'm getting this error (whenever I try to see any page): Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.61.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.61.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. My Active Solution platform is "Any CPU" and I'm running on a x64 Windows 7 on an x64, of course, processor. The reason why we are using this version of ELMAH is because 1.0 .Net 3.5 (x86, which is the only platform for which it's compiled) gave us this same error on our x64 Windows server. I've tried compiling for x86 and x64 and I get the same error. I've tried removing the all compiler output (bin and obj).     Hi, I'll start off with what I want so it may be simpler to understand: I have a Page (Master.xaml) that has has a listbox of PersonViewModel. When the user selects a PersonViewModel from the listbox, I want to Navigate to a details (Details.xaml) page of the selected PersonViewModel. The details page does some extra heavy lifting that I only want done once the user navigates to the page. (I don't want too much stuff loaded in each PersonViewModel of the master listbox) So how do you guys handle master/detail scenarios with navigation while maintaining "blendability"? I've been turing in circles for the past week. there seems to be no clean solution for something that should be quite common?

    I'm trying to use the rich:fileupload from inside a rich:modalpanel component. The problem is that, when inside modalpanel, fileupload doesn't doesnt start the fileuploadeventlistener method. The same fileupload component works fine outside of modalpanel. (Although it doesn't rerender the components I ask it to, but that's another topic.) I could find this issue and similar ones on search for "fileupload modalpanel" but no answers.   • Delph Exception handling problem with multiple Exception handling blocks

    I'm using Delphi Pro 6 on Windows XP with FastMM 4.92 and the JEDI JVCL 3.0. Given the code below, I'm having the following problem: only the first exception handling block gets a valid instance of E. The other blocks match properly with the class of the Exception being raised, but E is unassigned (nil). For example, given the current order of the exception handling blocks when I raise an E1 the block for E1 matches and E is a valid object instance. However, if I try to raise an E2, that block does match, but E is unassigned (nil). If I move the E2 catching block to the top of the ordering and raise an E1, then when the E1 block matches E is is now unassigned. With this new ordering if I raise an E2, E is properly assigned when it wasn't when the E2 block was not the first block in the ordering. Note I tried this case with a bare-bones project consisting of just a single Delphi form. Am I doing something really silly here or is something really wrong?     I have a model like this: public PurchaseOrder { [Required] [StringLength(15)] public virtual string OrderNumber {get;set;} // etc. } When I submit an order from the view (using $.post, not input type=submit) it goes to my controller class: public class PurchaseOrderController { public JsonResult Save(PurchaseOrder order) { // TryUpdateModel(order); // commented out since modelstate.isvalid remains false anyway if (ModelState.IsValid) { // its never valid } } } ModelState.IsValid always returns false, with the error: "The Order Number field is required." But there is a value in this field (?? why) Why would it say "value is required" when it does have a value? Have I missed something? Is it because of the $.post instead of the submit? What can I do?     Hello I'm trying to get adaptive thresholding working in the python binding to opencv (the swig one - cannot get opencv 2.0 working as I am using a beagleboard as the cross compiling is not working yet). I have a greyscale image (ccg.jpg) and the following code import opencv from opencv import highgui img = highgui.cvLoadImage("ccg.png") img_bw = opencv.cvCreateImage(opencv.cvGetSize(img), opencv.IPL_DEPTH_8U, 1) opencv.cvAdaptiveThreshold(img, img_bw, 125, opencv.CV_ADAPTIVE_THRESH_MEAN_C, opencv.CV_THRESH_BINARY, 7, 10) When I run this I get the error: RuntimeError: openCV Error: Status=Formats of input arguments do not match function name=cvAdaptiveThreshold error messgae= file_name=cvadapthresh.cpp line=122 I've also tried having both the source and dest arguments both the same (greyscale) and I get the error 'Unsupported format or combination of formats'. I have never tried JBoss before. Any help would be highly appreciated.

We know that the server aint got a valid https certificate with the path used (and we're not even sure if its fully release yet... ) but to bypass this issue, we use the following code that we've taken somewhere here in another post.     I have been trying to bind a group of radio buttons to a view model using the IsChecked button. After reviewing other posts, it appears that the IsChecked property simply doesn't work. I have put together a short demo that reproduces the problem, which I have included below. Here is my question: Is there a straightforward and reliable way to bind radio buttons using MVVM? Thanks. Additional information: The IsChecked property doesn't work for two reasons: When a button is selected, the IsChecked properties of other buttons in the group don't get set to false. When a button is selected, its own IsChecked property does not get set after the first time the button is selected. I am guessing that the binding is getting trashed by WPF on the first click. Demo project: Here is the code and markup for a simple demo that reproduces the problem.     For those of you trying to understand jqGrid custom edit types ... I created a multi-checkbox form element, and thought I'd share. This was built using version 3.6.4. If anyone has a more efficient solution, please pass it on.
