    I have two servlet: first servlet is similar to a client and creates an HttpURLConnection to call the second servlet. I would like send a special error, formatted like a JSON object, so I call sendError method in this way: response.sendError(code, "{json-object}") But in the first servlet when I read error with getResponseMessage method I just get standard HTTP message and not my json object as a string. How I can get my json string?

    I'm trying to update body of all sms on Android device with getContentResolver().update(Uri.parse("content://sms"), values..... query but after request done, also updates message creation/received time. How i can update message but leave old message date? I have tried send to update query ContentValues values = sms values oject; values.put("body", updatedBody); values.put("date", oldValues.getAsString("date")); but it does not help.

But what is the generally accepted way of looking at "actions" more like RPC? For example, let's say I want to send a command for the device to reset? There's no real "entity" here or do I do something like POST to http://mydevice/device/reset?

This goes well for the smaller files, but for large files this can take a while and the bandfwith is fully used. After the user makes some selection and hits the "run" button I pass off the processing to a dll written in C# but what I want is a way to periodically send information back to the client so they can see what's going on like how many records have been processed and things like that.     Hi Guys, I have a trigger that sends an email once a value has been changed. It works when i make any amendments but when the users make the changes it fails. I have figured out the users havnt got permission to send mails in master.dbo.xp_sendmail The way the DB was originally setup wis shocking!! (each user has a network login rather than being part of a network group) Is there anyway i can allow a role in customerDb to access the xp_sendmail proc in the mater db? Thanks Sp

    Hello, in my web page a user fill a form who send information to a MySql database. One of the data inputs sent is a date/time, in the format date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A'); (I can change the format as needed) So when the user submits the form i wanna check if the actual time/date is 30 seconds more than the sent time/date in order to allow or not the submission of the form.
