  • How to use Git properly with XCode?

    I have been an iphone developer for a while, and I have recently been including git in my workflow. I have used git settings found on http://shanesbrain.net/2008/7/9/using-xcode-with-git for my workflow so far. Those settings tell git to exclude *.pbxproj from merges? Is there a real reason for doing this? For example, when I add a file to the project and push to origin, my fellow developers will not have that file added to their xcode project when they pull. Then if one of them builds a release this file may not be included. Shouldn't I just let git handle the merges for the project file? Could someone please explain why or why not this file should be in merges and how to properly handle the situation when files are added to the project. Thanks.

  • BizTalk external assembly namespace and static methods

    Is there some restriction in BizTalk 2006 R2 to accessing static methods in external assemblies when the assembly has a "." in the name ? I have the solution set-up with the BizTalk project "FooBar", and the external assembly project "FooBar.Helper" (strongly signed and GAC'ed) with a class "Demo" (public and serializable), which is referenced in the BizTalk project I can create a BizTalk variable of type "FooBar.Helper.Demo" and access an instance method fine, but an expression window the Intellisense shows the FooBar namespace, but if I dot it, I get the error "illegal dotted name" ??? However I can add another project, "ExtComp" with class "Test" and it's static methods are displayed in Intellisense !!! The only difference I can see is the first external assembly has the dot in it

  • How to ignore the .classpath for Eclipse projects using Mercurial?

    I'm trying to share a repository between my Mac (laptop) and PC (desktop). There are some external dependencies for the project that are stored on different places on each machine, and noted in the .classpath file in the Eclipse project. When the project changes are shared, the dependencies break. I'm trying to figure out how to keep this from happening. I've tried using .hgignore with the following settings, among others, without success: syntax: glob *.classpath Based on this question, it appears that the .hgignore file will not allow Mercurial to ignore files that are also committed to the repository. Is there another way around this? Other ways to configure the project to make it work?

  • using KVO to update an NSTableView filtered by an NSPredicate

    My UI is not updating when I expect it to. The application displays "projects" using a view similar to iTunes -- a source list on the left lets you filter a list (NSTableView) on the right. My filters update properly when they are examining any simple field (like name, a string), but not for arrays (like tags). I'm removing a tag from one of my objects (from an NSMutableArray field called "tags") and I expect it to disappear from the list because it no longer matches the predicate that is bound to my table's NSArrayController.   • Setup sonar-runner for multiple java projects

    I am trying to run sonar-runner to analyze multiple Java projects in one go. According to the documentation http://docs.codehaus.org/display/SONAR/Analyse+with+a+simple+Java+Runner it is just a matter of creating a sonar-project.properties file for each project. But it is not clear to me where exactly I have to put these sonar-project.properties files. I tried to add multiple .properties files in the $SONAR_RUNNER_HOME/conf folder but the runner does not seem to pick them up. It only sees the sonar-project.properties file. Any suggestions on how to run sonar-runner for multiple projects?

  • How do i change the Scala version that sbt works with?

    Firing up the SBT console it reads : [info] Building project AYLIEN 1.0 against Scala 2.8.1 [info] using MyProject with sbt 0.7.4 and Scala 2.7.7 How can I make it use MyProject with sbt 0.7.4 and Scala 2.8.1 ? Please pay attenetion that I'm not asking about the Scala version that is used to build my project (it is the 2.8.1 as you can see), but I rather want to make sbt use MyProject with Scala 2.8.1. Apparently sbt uses it's own scala version to work with project definition (MyProject here) which is different than one it uses to actually build the project! or perhaps I'm missing something ... ?

  • new to mac and textmate, can someone explain these shortcuts?

    I'm using textmate for the first time basically, and I am lost as to what keys map to these funny symbols. using python bundles, what keys do I press for: run run with tests run project unit tests Also, with textmate, do I actually define a project in textmate or do I just work on the files and textmate doesn't create its own .project type file ?
