    Hi, I have installed tomcat as service successfully. when i start this from control Panel- administrative tools - services, it tows error like this, The Apache Tomcat 4.1 service on local computer started and then stopped. Some service stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the performance logs and alerts sevice. Wat is the error?

  • Hanging on "Scanning for Harddisk partitions and creating /etc/fstab" when trying to install Damn Sm

    Following a suggestion made before, I'm trying to use UNetbootin to install Damn Small Linux on a Windows computer. I'd like to reformat the entire HD and install Linux on it. I installed UNetbootin on Windows, set it for a frugal install on the HD, rebooted, started it up in UNetbootin. It seemed to be working ok. However, the installation keeps hanging on "Scanning for Harddisk partitions and creating /etc/fstab". What might be the problem?

    I wish to connect to a remote Windows 7 PC that has a microphone, and use that local microphone (on the destination PC) in recording applications. Unfortunately whenever I connect on Remote Desktop, the remote PC's local microphones become hidden and disabled. Remote Desktop seems to force using the source computer's microphone with redirection, without an option to use the remote PC's microphone Isn't there a way to enable using the remote PC's microphone? I don't get why this should be so hard.

    We have multiple servers scattered over different hosting providers. For learning, experimenting and, ultimately, production purposes, I set one of them as a Domain Controller. That went well, most of our services are now authenticating via AD, which helps us a lot. What I want to do now is to simplify the authentication for the multiple servers, by making each of them look at the Domain Controller. This way, our Devs can log into (Remote Desktop) the multiple servers with the same credentials from AD. I know I have to configure each server to look at the Domain Controller. But when I try to add the Domain Controller to the Computer, it cannot find it, although the Domain Controller address is a valid, reachable internet sub-domain (as in "ad.ourcompany.com"). This is the detailed error message: Note: This information is intended for a network administrator.     I am trying to fix a Windows 7 Pro SP1 (32 bits) computer. I have a weird problem. It was working fine until two days ago (didn't do anything weird in that day), and suddenly windows network (accessing to Windows Shares, sharing my printer) stopped working. TCP/IP networks words without issues, since I can IM, use the WebBrowser, check my email, you name it. Any ideas on how could I attempt to fix this?

  • How can I stop wmplayer.exe causing CPU Usage spikes?

    I've found that on a very fast new machine CPU usage runs between 0-8% normally, but then with wmplayer on it hovers between 8-18%. The problem is particularly to my new machine with Windows 7, and doesn't occur on my old Vista machine. I believe it's possibly because every time I open wmplayer it tries to load up every media file on my computer into the startup screen. Assuming I want to keep using wmplayer (and since I've got a lot of playlists set up there, I do), how can I fix this problem?

    I have a computer that's been taking backups using Windows 7's Backup and Restore feature. However, I now need to reclaim hard disk space, and am trying to figure out what I can safely delete. When I go into the Backup and Restore options on the machine, it shows several backups. Is it safe to delete the older ones? Or is it an incremental backup, that means that files not changed since before the last backup would then be lost?

  • No audio from USB device on iMac

    My computer froze the other day and started a buzzing noise. After I restarted in the middle of it, the buzzing persisted. A few restarts later, the buzzing stopped, but I can't get audio to come from my audio interface setup anymore. I'm using an M-Audiophile USB to connect to studio monitors, and there's absolutely no audio. I've tried restarting many times and unplugging - still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
