  • Load view when button is clicked in Xcodes Storyboard

    I just started to use Storyboard in Xcode. I have a starting view that has some buttons inside. Is there a way to load a special view when a button is clicked?   • How can i share data/text with other apps that will accept it?

    I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..). I did some reading on ContentProviders but the more I read, the more I'm thinking i'm heading down the wrong path. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, i need to share data between a local service and his hosting activity, i`am using sendBroadcast in order to send data to the hosting activity from the service, but if i want to send data back to the service from the hosting activity? so i though to create static method on the service, and call from the activity, and through it send the parameter, but then i cant do operations like toast inside that static method(which is inside the service).. coz you cant use "myclass.this" inside a static method, i guess there r more limits.. mybe another solution? mybe there is a proper way for this task? thanks, moshik.

(Might add some cool page flip effects) The interface is similar to that of mobile safari. I'm trying to decide whether to write this in Quartz2D or OpenGL ES.     Hi, In a project, I change a UILabel's text with setText, a UIButton's color and after that do a time consuming calculation, followed by an animation. However, the text's and color's change is reflected after the calculation is executed (and before the animation begins) however I want to reflect the changes immediately before calculation (as you guess it is a waiting text) How can I achieve this?

I have the following: NSPersistentStoreCoordinator NSManagedObjectContext NSManagedObjectModel Is it possible to run queries directly on the store (since its a sqlite DB)? I'm trying to delete all the records from a tableview, and figured a "DELETE FROM table" would be nice and quick as opposed to looping through the records and removing them manually (which i'm also struggling with).     Hi all, I have downloaded the PHP class from github which is the wrapper for their Open Graph API. I can log in and list freinds and images etc. But what I am really struggling with is allowing for extended permissions to allow posting to a users wall. I know somewhere I need to add "scope=publish_stream" to allow this option and can only assume it is on the getLoginUrl method but I am having next to know joy with it. Can anyone help me. Steve

    I'm trying to update body of all sms on Android device with getContentResolver().update(Uri.parse("content://sms"), values..... query but after request done, also updates message creation/received time. How i can update message but leave old message date? I have tried send to update query ContentValues values = sms values oject; values.put("body", updatedBody); values.put("date", oldValues.getAsString("date")); but it does not help.

    Hi I'm adding support for right-to-left languages for the UITableView. now I need to move the AccessoryDisclosureIndicator and AccessoryCheckmark from the right corner to the left. I'm taking the UIImageView path and Now I'm looking for 2 png icons: one for the AccessoryDisclosureIndicator arrow to the left and the second for the AccessoryCheckmark. Does anyone know where I can get those 2 icons? Is it possible when the user clicks on some cell to switch to the other view to the left and not to the right? Thanks

    Hey, I want to converte a CGRect "aRect" of a object in a subview in UITableViewCell in UITable to CGRect with respect to self.view. The problem is that aRect is with respect to the subview in the table cell. But i want to make it so that it is with respect to self.view What i tried is this rect = [self.view convertRect:aRect.frame toView:cellView]; but it doesn't work. So how to convert it?

  • Working with Content Shell on windows 7

    I can't run Content Shell on my system (Windows 7 x64): When i run --dump-render-tree with the stable release content_shell.exe crashes with message: [XXXX:XXXX:0522/XXXXXX:XXXXXXXXX:FATAL:content_main_runner.cc(735)] Check failed: base::i18n::InitializeICU() were X - some number. And i can't run dev build because it misses mojo_system.dll. Is there any way to fix it? Does it work on Linux or MacOS? If so i probably can run it in VM For the time being.

    I try to to find a solution to do View and Edit of a the item from a tablview. My application base on UITabBarController. Each of the Bar items contain a class with a a couple of UIViews. This is the first items of UITabBarController. I done Add event from Apple sample code: SimpleEKDemo. Add Event working without any problem. I tried to add View and Edit part to the code. I would able to select an items from tableView to edit the selected item. But after I tried to add code from SimpleEKDemo to my code, I realized I have to add UINavigationController to the implement. So I did. After I add that it's came to the items of UITabBarController. Also I even the Add Event didn't worked very well (I couldn't insert event name and location. but edit was working. So I need to know: 1- Is it possible to implement Edit/View without using UINavigationController. If yes please let me know a sample code. 2- If I must use UINavigationController. Because I don't need UINavigationController to become it the first page and I don't need any bar added to my application.   • Customized annotation problem

    I want my custom UIView (.Xib View) to appear when user tabs on pins (not apple's callOutBubble) and in that UIView there should be a button which fires an IBAction on touched down event. Therefore I have added an AddObserver method to MKAnnotationView. which responds to touch events over pin in MKMapView. I have also added 3 buttons over that XIB view, which have also assigned IBActions. But when I run my application, buttons in the customized annotation view are not responding to IBAction (Touch Down). Why does this happen, and how can I fix it? I need to call a method when those 3 buttons are tabbed.

  • OnClickListener - x,y location of event?

    Hi, I have a custom view derived from View. I'd like to be notified when the view is clicked, and the x,y location of where the click happened. Same for long-clicks. Looks like to do this, I need to override onTouchEvent(). Is there no way to get the x,y location of the event from an OnClickListener instead though? If not, what's a good way of telling if a motion event is a 'real' click vs a long-click etc? The onTouchEvent generates many events in rapid succession etc. Thanks

When I add FOrange I have to go and add another line here. What would be a better way?

    I've been trying to switch two views from two separate view controllers for a while and it never works, the simulator always crashes to the home screen. I want it so that people can click on the left or right image in each cell, and something different happens based on the cell number. How can I do that using objective-c?
